Dominion's darkest hour as puffin egg market is cracked.

A craze has been sweeping the nation of Sarrowquand; a craze for omelettes.

Last week a popular TV chef broadcast a recipe for puffin egg omelette with ravendog cheese, flavoured with eagle tears.

The next day Dominion citizens began to mob super markets looking for puffin eggs. Within 48 hours all of the puffin eggs that the nation could safely muster had made their way to supermarket shelves but as the puffin is not a native bird to Sarrowquand these limited supplies sold out within the hour.

After receiving increasingly angry memos from the Office of the Environment that determined citizens were attempting to raid bird sanctuaries, aviaries and petting zoos in their search for puffin eggs the Department of Trade bowed to pressure and put out a world wide appeal for puffin eggs.

The Dominion of Sarrowquand needs as many puffin eggs as can be mustered. We will pay any reasonable price for these eggs though we would like to add that we prefer that these eggs are obtained ethically and are sourced sustainably.

(Eagle tears are currently under review and may be classed as a controlled substance so we regret that we cannot make official purchases of this part of the recipe.)

As your nation nears its 'darkest hour', we too have been receiving a significant number of requests for help from Anemonian citizens currently residing in your nation, including from the few still taking leave from work to visit your nation.

You are probably aware of the popularity of Ravendog cheese in the Anemonian State; as you know, 12 percent, if not more, of the cheese purchased in your nation between the months of June-August is generally purchased by an Anemonian national. The reasons for this are very simple; Ravendog cheese has a very similar flavour to Narei 'Maetrei' cheeses, which are currently only produced by five farming communities; between these groups, Maetrei is produced in very small amounts, roughly two percent of the Ravendog that is one of your nation's delicacies.

Therefore, we hereby extend this offer to you; in exchange for the control of Ravendog purchase by your government to ensure that the shortages stop, we will begin the extraction of about 30 percent of the puffin eggs on the islands in the North Anemonian Sea, which should amount to about 250,000 eggs. Of course, further attempts to remove eggs from the area by any foreign national who does not have the Anemonian government's support will be dealt with under Anemonian theft laws, but the 250,000 will be shipped to Sarrowquand, free of charge, where the government is free to do what they want.

Of course, this incident has the potential to cause major economic and ecological disasters; we would like to invite your government to Anemos Major and see if any of the eggs produced in our nation can act as substitues. The relatively large penguin community in the north of the Kingdom of Mayaqoo is reputed to produce eggs very similar to that of puffins... of course, the only evidence we have at the moment is through representatives of the groups living in the area (although the Mayaqooi Crown has assured us that it is currently checking to see if this is true).
