The thing I would like you to tell me is:

How many vehicles, and of which type, sell in your nation per year on average?

Greetings Allanea,

Do you export these products to other nations? If so, Soviet Klaec is interested in buying some Firestorm Pickup Trucks. Would it be possible to modify some trucks for us to the following specifications? We have your standard specifications listed below and what they will need to be modified with. Anything not on the list can stay as it is.

Transmission 6-speed manual or automatic per user choice (Automatic)
Towing capacity: 20,000 lb max (This needs to be increased to 30 000 lb)
Payload carried by truck: 6,000 lb max (This needs to be increased to 10 000 lb)

Interior
Additional 12V Power Supply (Modified for a 20V Battery)
Automatic lights & windscreen wipers (Both lighting and windshield wipers must be modified for manual activation)
Electric panoramic sunroof with anti-pinch (The hole is required, however, the pane of glass/plastic over it is not)
Illuminated vanity mirror (Removed, and replaced with a small netting pouch)
Leather upholstery (Not necessary. A cheaper, stronger material would be preferable)

Exterior
Dedicated cornering lights (Use bulletproof glass and reinforced, bulletproof metal for the lights and their sockets)
Front fog lamps (Use bulletproof glass and reinforced, bulletproof metal for these)
Internally Adjustable Door Mirrors with Driver's Blind Spot Eliminating Mirror (Use bulletproof glass and reinforced, bulletproof metal for these)
Parking proximity senors (Removed)
Xenon quadruple optic headlamps with auto adjustment (Use bulletproof glass and reinforced, bulletproof metal for these)
Anti-Drill Door Locks And Locking Fuel Filler Cap (Modified with bulletproof metal)
Body coloured electrically adjustable, folding and heated door mirrors (Heating not needed, but acceptable if it will be hard to remove)
Metallic Paint (Black paint for the body)

Safety
Six 5-Point seatbelts with Integrated Pretensioners And Load Limiters (The two central seats in the rear are to be removed)

In addition to these modifications, we'd require the entire truck to be bulletproof'd against anything smaller than a .50 caliber sniper round.

If you are willing to do these modifications, let us know, and inform us of how much this would cost.

Vladimir Helmar,

Allanean Arms,

Having viewed the Dominator truck, we do not feel that, for the price, it justifies so little difference, as well as less capabilities in some area's, such as towing capacity. We would like to ask once again if you could produce some Firestorm pickups to the specification's we asked for, with these additional aspects as well:

- Increased suspension capabilities.
- Double pained bullet proof windows/wind shield/rear window for increased stopping power.
- Bullet proofed metal capable of stopping .50 caliber rounds from both machine guns and sniper rifles, if possible. Not mandatory, but we would be willing to pay sufficiently more for this feature.
- The back of the pickup's cabin's roof needs to be reinforced to easily and safely carry a minimum of 1 ton mounted on it, at least 3 feet inward from the wall. We can add column's ourselves to bring its carrying capability up to this weight if necessary, so long as Allanean Arms reinforces the roof and the wall's enough that they will be able to carry the weight with the addition of the column's.

We understand that the addition of so much armor will vastly increase the vehicles weight, making increasing the towing and carrying capacity at the same time very difficult. We accept that, for such a job, the engine would likely have to be increased to a more powerful model, and the costs that would come with this.

We thank you for your time, and dearly hope that you will be able to produce trucks for us to these specifications.

Regards,
Vladimir Helmar,
Ambassador of Klaec

Automobile Importation

Postby Yohannes » Mon Mar 04, 2013 8:27 am

To: Associated representative, Department of Foreign Relations, Allanean Arms Civilian Vehicles
From: Sir Grant Wellington, Head of Foreign Relations Committee, Alleswerken Group
Subject: Automobile importation

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to first and most humbly offer my thanks for your time in reading this letter. As not just exporters but also agent of national importation of the nineteen countries, Alleswerken and the group of Yohannesian businesses which it represent believe in the resounding benefit of market competition regulated by Yohannes' unique social market system. It has been experimented since the advent of mid-industrialisation era Yohannes, and have through the passage of time and years of past propelled the nineteen countries to its current level of economic development.

Noting the inherent market effectiveness which the introduction of more competition would bring to the Yohannesian automobile sector, the Board of Directors of Alleswerken has concluded for the sending of an invitation to your represented business to export its vehicles to the integrated market of the nineteen countries and the greater market of Her Majesty's sphere of influence overseas.

The Fifth Earl of Whitby - in his position as Group Finance Director of Alleswerken - has enacted for the offer of a seventy-three billion Universal Standard Dollars insuring package to safeguard against the possibility of initial profit loss which your business representative or branch subsidiary in Yohannes will possibly face, due to the existence of potential foreign competitors such as Asai, Diamond Star, Forza, KMF and VLT.

I am confident, however, of the ability of Allanean Arms and its expertise to meet the above mentioned challenges, and enter the lucrative market of Yohannes successfully. We are unsure of the ideal number of automobile to be imported annually for the foreseeable years to come, and would like to humbly inquire instead for you to decide yourself the ideal number of Allanean Arms vehicles to be exported yearly to the nineteen countries.

I await, and look forward to your letter of reply.

Cordially,

From: Semyon Laptev, Department of Foreign Relations, Allanean Arms Civilian Vehicles Division
Subject: Automobile Importation

Dear Sir!

Allanean Arms is a well-established heavy and light-industry corporation. Our civilian vehicle segment is Allanea's largest car exporter, putting over 340 million vehicles annually in the hands of private individuals, major companies and small businesses around the world, and employing over 500 million Allaneans and nearly 3 million foreigners. We feel that a 73-billion insurance package is wholly affordable and indeed within reason given the harsh competition in the automotive world.

That said, we fully believe that this isn't a race. Even if our company sells merely five million vehicles a year in your country – indeed even one million - and comes away at a profit, then this will be a great thing and will make both Allanean Arms and Alleswerken better off.

With that in mind, I would like to begin work on setting up a study commission made up of Allanean Arms experts to begin studying the market in Yohannes, so as to establish our sales strategy for the first year. IF existing reports and studies of this nature exist, my Department would request you to forward them to us.

I await, and look forward to your letter of reply.

Cordially,

Semyon Laptev,
Head of the Department of Foreign Relations

Dear Mr Laptev,

It is a good, bright sunny day in the capital city of Ardenfontein today, and I am truly delighted to have received your positive letter of reply. While sipping my cup of Milogradian Oppression Arjuna tea, I have received a report from one of my sweet and certainly most intelligent young secretaries that the government of Van Luxemburg would, most probably, have its own chart or report of sales in Yohannes. Good Sir, let us keep this as a secret between the two of us, but we all know those Van Luxemburgers are notorious for their automotive-related spending-spree and fast car habit.

I am sure that with the subtle mention of a million here and more venue to the Allanean market there, our entrepreneurial counterpart in Van Luxemburg would be more than happy to hand you their estimated report or study of the present state of the Yohannesian automobile market, and perhaps they will be able to inform you of the suitable number of Allanean Arms civilian vehicles to be imported for Yohannes for the foreseeable years to come. Of course, there will always be the possibility of the Van Luxemburgers rejecting your offer, to which we say, there will be the alternative of people in Forza, or perhaps those Sondsteadish with their recent introduction to the Global Economics & Trade market.

Indeed, I am confident that - whatever the number which you will decide - Allanean arms civilian vehicles will nevertheless be a resounding success in Yohannes. However, for the sake of business, Sir Adolphe Lewingston in his position as Group Chief Executive of Alleswerken has authorised me with the conveyance of his request to you and your represented business, for the delivery of fifteen million Firestorm pickup trucks for the next five years. It has been estimated by Her Majesty's Treasury [OOC: Yeah right... :p ] that over ten million Firestorms will be sold throughout the nineteen countries for the next five years.

Cordially,

Dear friend!

I am very happy to hear of these projections.

We will make sure to make the proper accommodations for your order. Would you be wishing to work with Allanean Arms, Inc. on working out an advertisement campaign for these vehicles, or would you wish to contract with local companies on the campaign?

Would it be fair to assume that after the five years sales stabilize on some annual number?

REVISITING THE STREETWIZE
Article by Merri Polandi

WHEN THE automotive division of Allanean Arms made their grandiose entrance into the Relorian market over five years ago with their range of oversized, fuel-guzzling and, frankly, bizarre automobiles, people were largely unimpressed. And slightly confused. Models like the gargantuan Firestorm and the utterly absurd Lightning were clearly built to appeal to a completely different culture (or perhaps even species, in my eyes), and nowhere was this more obvious than in the national sales figures - the slightly-less-ridiculous Sandstorm, the marque's most successful model here, sold four-hundred and fifty thousand units in its launch year.

This may seem like a lot to some, but when you consider that over two-hundred and fifty million new vehicles are driven off forecourts annually, it must have been a huge disappointment for a company trying so desperately to establish itself in lucrative Relorian automobile market..

Relorians simply weren't interested.

To their credit, Allanean Arms came back with something new - something that seemed to take the sensibilities, if not the taste, of Relorians more seriously. The smaller (comparatively speaking, anyway), more economical 'StreetWize' - ostensibly designed as a direct reaction to AA's previous poor performance in the Relorian market - was a more sensible vehicle for a less insane driver.

While still possessing the ludicrous styling we've come to expect from AA vehicles, the StreetWize is a less ostentatious offering that offers much more practicality for the day-to-day life of Relorian roads. It's... it's not something you're going to want to look at for a prolonged period of time, but it doesn't require a car park the size of a moon nor does it require you to own your own oil refinery to keep it fuelled - although it is still quite inefficient compared to some native offerings, thanks to an engine that's far too big and fuel-hungry (a common Allanean problem). A hybrid option is available, thankfully.

But it's that engine that allows the small-ish StreetWize to zip around at a pace hitherto unknown to the 'supermini'* class of car, outside of custom-modified 'hot hatches'. With powerful acceleration for a car of its size and an eye-watering top speed, you'll struggle to find anything that can compete for speed at this price.

That price being quite reasonable, actually. The base model costs J-17,700.00 (after taxes), and includes a surprising amount of kit for the money - air conditioning, leather seats, automatic headlights, keyless entry, run-flat tyres... the works, and all as standard (although the gun rack, standard in other countries, has been omitted). It meets Relorian automotive safety standards well enough, too.

Aside from the appearance of the thing (and the oversized engine, depending on if you're more concerned with the environment than how quickly you can get to work), our only qualm really is the build quality, a repeating niggle we've had with Allanean vehicles we've tested. This is presumably where they've saved some money, as the dashboard looks and feels cheap to us, as do some of the controls and the door handles. Despite all this, the StreetWize has proven itself to be mechanically sound and cheap to maintain and repair, so this is all just a cosmetic issue.

For the money, though, you can't complain. And people aren't complaining - they're parting with their cash. Allanean Arms' efforts to make a car that's more appealing to people other than Allaneans themselves seem to have paid off, with first quarter sales reaching almost four-hundred thousand. Analysts predict that next year the StreetWize could top over two million units, a fair improvement over AA's previous efforts.

But will Relorians be able to overlook the company's association with armaments enough for that figure to climb any higher? Only time will tell.

* We believe this is what Allanean Arms believe a supermini to be like, at any rate.

(( I got nostalgic, and noticed that this thread had survived Jolt but there was no Relorian review of the car designed for them! It's a tradition now! ))

Dear Allanean Arms,

I, Princess Cosmic Dust, would like to purchase some of your vehicles and perhaps allow some of your factories within our cities. Though we do have a few of our own, most of our citizens have been looking forward to having a little more variety in our cities. We will even accept the addition of an Allanean Arms Factory to help supply us with steady flow of each vehicle you have to offer. In return, we will help supply most of the resources that are needed make them.

Transportation will of cource be taken care of by us. Our Shuttles will be used to ferry the good back forth between our nations. All we need is your approval.

Signed; Princess Cosmic Dust

Official Message from Allanean Arms to Princess Cosmic Dust:

This is a great idea. We would be happy to commence an advertisement campaign in your nation, commissioned with a local company that better understands your culture and knows which cars are most likely to be bought. We will be most happy to have a new market for our cars.
