
The Yuri was developed for lasting for hours if not days in combat and to be the best of the best. In a field test its kill ratio was 95% with 5% casualties. Its 125 mm smoothbore gun is capable firing Armoured Piercing Fin-Stabilised Discarding Sabot , High Explosive Anti-Tank Rounds, or HEAT-FRAG rounds over a 2000 m range respectivley and HESH round over 2100 m respectivly. Maximum Crew is three (One Driver, Gunner, Tank Commander). It is only transportable by large Cargoplanes such as the CH-130 Hercules. It is powered by a liquid cooled 830 HP diesel engine, providing a power to weight ratio of about 17.8 hp/ton. The engine can be replaced within 55 minutes in field conditions, and gives the tank a maximum road speed of 57 km/h. The tanks engine uses Diesel fuel and its tank contains 1,892 Liters of the fuel. The tank uses a carousel autoloader to reduce the crew size to three, the rounds are stowed in a circular, rotating structure on the turret floor. Twenty-Two rounds are stored at a 90 degree angle in the autloader itself.
