YellowApple, Inc. was founded in 1974 CE (and subsequently incorporated in 1975 CE) in the town of Redding, California, USA as an aerospace equipment vendor. YellowApple, Inc. pioneered the use of vacuum-channel transistor technology in its flight computers, basing the designs on progressively-smaller fabrication techniques and existing theory around vacuum tubes; as a result, YellowApple, Inc. took an early lead in avionics computers, especially for aircraft and spacecraft requiring resistance to ionizing radiation. Needing a guiding hand to make this technology more affordable and drive expansion in further markets, YellowApple, Inc. appointed a young entrepreneur by the name of Amarillo Manzano as the new CEO. Manzano quickly grew YellowApple, Inc. into a fierce contender in the global aerospace and computing markets, expanding its product line to aircraft, spacecraft, and even commercial and residential computing systems.

During the Second American Civil War, YellowApple, Inc. remained neutral until it was pressured to cut off ties with the young Republic of California; in response, YellowApple, Inc. instead increased its Californian ties and began to migrate its assets away from the United States. 2021 CE, YellowApple, Inc. had declared its independence and left the United States entirely.

YellowApple, Inc. has since grown to become a multiversal nation, with YellowApplan settlements and outposts in multiple galaxies. YellowApple, Inc.'s superluminal transit technology has been the backbone for such expansion, allowing instantaneous travel between such disparate locations.

AppleGuard Automated Sentry System

The AppleGuard is a state-of-the-art motion-activated property defense unit armed with a fully-automatic electrically-primed machine gun. Capable of identifying and targeting intruders based on infrared and sonar signatures, the AppleGuard is designed to repel trespassers that do not match specified facial, retinal, vocal, or thermal properties. As the AppleGuard systems utilize IEEE 802.11 wireless connectivity, it is relatively trivial for the configuration software - which is distributed in pre-compiled binaries for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, and Phoenix² platforms or a source tarball - to interface with each sentry unit over a typical home or small business WiFi network and send identification credentials and/or perform remote activation and deactivation based on fixed schedules.

Each AppleGuard runs an artificially-intelligent Linux distribution with software packages installed that include everything from weapon and motor hardware drivers to speech synthesis and conversational skills, and features top-of-the-line computing hardware to keep up with the demands of intense trajectory tracking algorithms and accurate vocal communication. Of course, this artificially-intelligent machine is incapable of free will.

There are two versions of the AppleGuard available: the Economy Edition and the Advanced Edition. The Advanced Edition is an improvement of the original Economy Edition and boasts an additional processing core, twice the RAM, four firing barrels, four times the maximum ammunition capacity, and a stylish CNRP/graphene external case in a variety of styles to match the decor of the home, business, or government facility being protected. Available default colors are white, black, grey, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, violet, cyan, brown, digital forest camo, digital snow camo, digital desert camo, and digital urban camo; if you provide a custom pattern with your order we will apply it free of charge. BitTrigger Equine Firearm Adapter Kit

The BitTrigger Equine-Friendly Weapon Adapter Kit is a specialized system designed for soldiers who lack the ability to hold a standard firearm and/or pull its trigger. Instead of forcing reliance upon fingers, this system enables the user to mount almost any firearm to his/her shoulder and fire said weapon by biting down on the included oral bit. No more designing custom weapons systems for your equine soldiers! Now they can use the same weapons as your humanoid infantry.

The BitTrigger operates by using an encrypted wireless communications protocol to transmit bite pressure signals from the oral trigger bit to the trigger wrapper device. The trigger wrapper device, upon receiving these signals, uses a series of linear motors to "pull" the trigger of the equipped firearm, causing it to operate as if it were being operated by a humanoid, finger-possessing soldier. The BitTrigger's trigger wrapper device is also capable of interfacing with the Advanced Electronics Module of the AppleWear Advanced Tactical Uniform, granting it capability to be controlled via neural activity.

An old rifle design, the AppleFire V01 "Oldie" Vintage Rifle ain't the best rifle performance-wise, but it performs relatively well for its low price point. Being easy to manufacture and easier to use, the AppleFire V01 provides an excellent choice for a novice marksman getting his/her feet wet in the realm of shooting - the kind of user that doesn't need or want the bells and whistles of a fancy ultra-engineered weapon.

The AppleFire V01 uses a unique semi-automatic bolt-action system inspired by double-action revolver designs; the AppleFire V01 can either be manually cocked via the bolt or utilized as a semi-automatic-firing rifle: the bolt is optional. The modularity and openness of the design permits the AppleFire V01 to be easily configurable for a wide variety of cartridges; by default, the AppleFire V01 is chambered for 1/128mYA-cased, but options for 7.62x54mmR and 7.62x51mm NATO (and mechanically-compatible cartridges) are also available.

The AppleFire V01, given the age of the design, is now considered a public-domain design and therefore has virtually no licensing costs. The original design calls for wood finish on everything non-mechanical, but YellowApple, Inc. is capable of manufacturing your order with any style of wood, plastic, or metal finish in virtually any color.

A variety of add-ons are also available. Though the AppleFire V01 normally comes with only ironsights, an optional scope is also available, making the AppleFire V01 the ultimate hunting rifle for a budding small game hunter.

The AppleWear Advanced Tactical Uniform is a state of the art personal shielding system designed for high-intensity combat scenarios. Constructed from spider silk and graphene/nanotube hybrid fabric with nanotube/graphene-reinforced-polymer (NGRP) plating, the AppleWear ATU is capable of completely stopping most low to medium caliber firearm rounds and is quite effective against many large-caliber rounds. Additionally, the AppleWear ATU is capable of full environmental sealing, and features expansion capabilities to support life support and electronics add-ons.

The AppleWear ATU helmet includes a modular visor with a built-in OLED tactical viewscreen. The tactical viewscreen is designed to interface with the optional AppleWear ATU Advanced Electronics Module, an add-on module capable of interfacing with most firearms containing standard targeting and ammunition status electronics, allowing the user to have full knowledge of current ammunition quantity, precise aim, and even a general summary of the user's own physical health down to heartrate, blood pressure, neural waveforms, and oxygen levels. Server Edition

YellOS Server Edition is designed specifically to be a robust and fully-featured server operating system. The installer allows for pre-configuration of the server during installation to serve as a file server, database server, DNS server, DHCP server, Active Directory server, print server, web server, torrent seedbox, gaming server, cloudserver, or any combination of features thereof, plus many more other server role presets. YellOS Server Edition is, like YellOS Enterprise Edition, designed to be used on an enterprise-level domain-driven network, and is also pre-configured for network booting, remote user data, automated installation/configuration, and advanced user permissions. YellOS Server Edition does not include a graphical user interface by default, instead using a command-line interface based on the popular Bourne-again Shell common on UNIX and Linux systems.

Embedded Edition

YellOS Embedded Edition is the most commonly-used version of YellOS, and is actually distributed as a source tarball rather than traditional installation media. YellOS Embedded Edition is designed specifically to be installed as part of an embedded system. YellOS Embedded Edition is the operating system of choice to drive devices ranging from personal alarm clocks to industrial robots to even state-of-the-art unmanned space exploration vehicles. Given that YellOS is intended to only be installed with the software necessary for a specific device, YellOS's WebGL-based GUI is not included by default.

Mobile Edition

YellOS Mobile Edition is a spin-off of YellOS Embedded Edition designed specifically for mobile phones. Included are applications for phone calls, text messaging, mobile web browsing, email, multimedia playback, video/photo capture, and much more. Like YellOS Embedded Edition, it is distributed as a source tarball, but also includes the iOS, Android, WinPhone, Blackberry, and Java API modules, as well as a mobile-optimized version of the WebGL-based YellOS GUI.

Vehicular Edition

YellOS Vehicular Edition, a spin-off of YellOS Embedded Edition, is the ultimate software solution for the computers controlling automobiles, rail vehicles, aircraft, naval vessels, and even spacecraft. YellOS Vehicular Edition contains a number of specialized programs and scripts for managing a vehicle's engines, brakes, transmission, fuel systems, and everything else that factors into a vehicle's operation. It also includes graphical software packages for vehicular user interfaces, including software for navigation systems, automotive entertainment systems, in-vehicle communications systems, and much more. YellOS Lightweight Edition

YellOS Lightweight Edition is similar to YellOS Enterprise Edition and YellOS Home Edition, combining their features into one single package. However, YellOS Lightweight Edition emphasizes resource-conservation, using a Java port of the popular LXDE desktop system on top of the X Window Manager, as well as more lightweight alternatives to the same applications found in YellOS Enterprise Edition and YellOS Home Edition. YellOS Lightweight Edition only comes with the Java API Module installed by default.

YellOS Multimedia Edition

YellOS Multimedia Edition is a spin-off of YellOS Home Edition featuring a wide variety of video, audio, and image editing software and utilities. From red-eye correction to music composition to a full-feature CGI film, YellOS Multimedia Edition can do it all. The Win32, Win64, OSX, Phoenix², Flash, and Java API Modules are pre-installed by default.

YellOS Developer Edition

YellOS Developer Edition is a spin-off of YellOS Enterprise Edition designed specifically for the design, development, and testing of software for virtually any operating system and CPU architecture, and is actually the operating system used by YellowApple, Inc.'s YellOS developers to develop YellOS itself. YellOS Manufacturer Edition

YellOS Manufacturer Edition is designed specifically for the automated installation and configuration of other YellOS installations in OEM environments either over a network or by copying a pre-configured and automated installer on any removable storage device able to be booted from.
