After a series of membership discussions the executive board is pleased to announce that all above applicants (Hippostanian Broadcasting Company, Rialto Television Company, The TeleCommunications Union, Bearlong Broadcasting System, Radiatian People's News Network World Service & Rainious Allemenlosian Broadcasting Corporation) are now official members of the NSBU with all membership privileges and deals available to respective broadcasters immediately!

Frenequesta: While we are able to accept your first application, we require further information on your other. Understanding that Aprioriposteriori Intervesial Radio and Poliphilos operate separately, your application has given us the impression that they are simply operating names of the commercial entity known as Frenequesta Public Media. If this is true then, for official membership purposes, we cannot record them separately and would need to record both of these names on the OP under this unified name, we hope that this will not be too much of a problem but shall await your response before continuing.

Dear Sir or Madam:

We can certainly arrange that Frenequesta Public Media as a whole can be listed for membership purposes. Should we file a new application to remedy this or is that not necessary?

The application in it's current form presents all necessary information on Frenequesta Public Media broadcasting operations as a whole so a new application would not be necessary. Members I would like to put forth to you a proposal to start an Official NationStates Broadcasting Union News Thread where member stations can post to the whole community happenings in their respective coverage area be it Decisions on National Issues, International Talks, and of course International Incidents. Below I have provided an example of a possible article/format that can be used in future News thread: (OOC: Created it for my RP and figured this would be the place to show an example and maybe get support for starting a new NationStates News Stories Thread)

Federal District of Tiberius, UFF In a recent statement, Federation Military Officials disclosed one of the first combat operations conducted by the Naval Strike Task Force sent to the coasts of New Sapienta. The operation involved 24 Harrier Fighter-Bombers from one of the several Aircraft Carriers in the Task Force. The operation according to Commandant Ryan Welsh of the Firestorm Amphibious Force was "Not to be aggressive, but demonstrative."

Commandant Welsh went on further to say that the mission was to deliver what are called, "Leaflet Canister Bombs". Inside each device, compressed air is used to disperse several thousand pieces of individual paper. Each paper contained a message addressed specifically to the citizens of New Sapienta which in summary asked them to urge their government not to fight a war but to return to the peace talks.

This is the first disclosed combat operation since the Task Force was put to sea less than a week ago following the events which took place in the Straits of Caldokeor. Rear Admiral Charles Watson of the 3rd Combat Carrier Wing, was laid to rest in the Fallen Heroes Cemetery on the day of Task Force departure. Rear Admiral Watson bravely sacrificed himself when he flew his F-35 fighter jet into the last nuclear warhead of 6, bound for Caldokeor. As previously released, the Nuclear Missile was launched by a New Sapienta submarine in the straits and was destroyed shortly after by UFF Naval Aircraft, Caldokeorn Helicopters, and a Naval Destroyer from Guruda.

While the likely hood of the invasion still remains uncertain as peace talks have broken down, the conducted operation seems to have been effective. Shortly after the "Raid", independent new sources in New Sapienta confirmed the outbreak of riots in the Capital City of Grandis, where the canister bombs were delivered. Most of the riots seem to be peaceful in nature, violence has occurred and was quickly subdued by local Law Enforcement and Militia. Independent sources also report that marshal law has been enacted by the government and that the possibility of local Rebel Groups attempting another uprise is higher. While uncertainty seems to rein over the current situation, Commandant Welsh further states, that No Ships or Aircraft were lost or damaged and that no sailors or airmen were lost or injured. Confidently Welsh said, "At the moment things are heavily in our favor."

We are also pleased to announce that NS Winter Youth Games have been added to our list of broadcast international events!

Firestorm0901: The board is thrilled with this idea as it would give smaller broadcasters the chance to compete with larger, more established ones who already maintain a news thread. We would be happy to put forward this idea to members through a poll and look forward to member feedback.

We further endorse and encourage Firestorm0901's idea of a joint news thread.
