The first one details some developments in our military related to future arms purchases as well as several commissions for new vehicles. If you wish these commissions to be moved to a separate entry we would be more than happy to, we did not however want to duplicate post. As our country continues its military reorganization and upgrade process we continue to rely on the high quality equipment and advice given to us through Lyran Arms. It seems that we are this time, mostly in need of information. We will be acquiring the rights shortly to the LY7 Medium Tank and would like to use the components to build a light reconnaissance tank. We are in the early stages of the design phase, but would like the tank to weigh no more than 15 tons to accommodate air transportation. A telescopic periscope sight would also be something we would like to accommodate into this design to give it a enhanced LOS. We of course would like permission from your company to use and modify components from the LY7, as well as form a technological partnership so your company can advise Korrodosian engineers in the design process. We are looking for something similar to the Scimitar/Scorpion, Wiesel, or PT-76 Recon tank.

The Korrodosian Armored Corps is also looking to upgrade its formidable LY4A1s to the LY4A2 level. We understand that these vehicles are restricted to states friendly to Lyras and although no formal alliance exists between our two states we do feel that the kindred spirits that lead your nation may give us a special exception. The reintroduction of the M1 Abrams MBT into our service as the M1A3-LY ‘King Gorm’ has proved most satisfactory as a reserve tank and even compliments the LY4A1 in our active units. We are also in the process of developing a telescopic periscope sight to be fitted on this vehical to allow it to be used as a heavy reconnaissance asset. Another upgrade we are interested in is a possible upgrade of our LY6 units to LY6A1 model. If this is not possible, again because the vehicle's restricted nature we understand. Another option would be to buy all new LY6A1s to replace our LY6s.

Korrodosian Airborne Infantry has asked us to commission a joint project revolving around the LY83 Fox multirole. We would like a miniaturized and lighter version of this vehicle for our airborne units and light infantry. Such equipment as the NBC system, most of the upper body of the vehicle can be either eliminated or lightened. We would also like the vehicle to be slightly narrower and have the ability to be stackable with other units. The minimum transportation capabilities would be one driver, one passenger and 2-4 others in fold down seats as well as the capability to pull a trailer. Helicopter lift points should be built into the frame, Army Air Corps will send information about our harness systems upon request. The vehicle would be similar in concept to the M442 Minnie Mite Airborne Jeep.

Another priority we have amphibious vehicle designs for our Marine Corps that we are looking to form soon. We have no experience with amphibious operations, and although we operate several Landing Dock Ships, as well as hover craft our experience on the operational side of things are minimal. We would like to know which vehicles your nation uses for these purposes and if they are available for sale, if not we would be possibly interested in commissioning a design for these vehicles.

We are also looking to possibly upgrade our heavy infantry support weapons. Currently our standard heavy machine gun is the Browning M2. Although this weapon is reliable and effective the increasing numbers of LY60s in service with our vehicles are making us curious about the possibility of either acquiring or developing a infantry support version of this weapon. We would also be interested in mounting a 25mm cannon or similar on a light trailer as a towed anti-tank cannon.

Furthermore our infantry Corps is looking into upgrading our infantry portable mortar systems. Currently we operate American designed, 60mm, 81mm and 120mm mortars. With our current deployment numbers any upgrade to theses systems would constitute a relatively larger order. Any changes to these systems would require better integration with other weapon systems, increased accuracy or range, and increased portability. These weapons provide the backbone of the Korrodosian Infantry Corp’s indirect fire support from the company level on up.

Of further interest are towed artillery pieces. Although we believe self propelled guns are the future in warfare we also believe that they may not be appropriate in some situations. We would also like a mountain gun, transportable in pieces by an artillery squad. A towed light rocket system would also be of interest to us.

We are also interested in the possibility of a man portable Helios ATGM. This weapon would replace Dragon/Javelin systems in use and possibly the TOW systems we use as well. There are two options for this type of system. Either a single man fired unit, or a crew serviced unit requiring up to three crewmembers to transport and operate. As we do not have indigenous infrastructure dedicated to the production of this type of missiles we are unsure as to the possibilities.

Also under consideration of upgrade or replacement is our current system of personnel radios. We would like a system more compatible with the communication systems in our vehicles. Although we have several manufacturers the proprietary nature of the technology involved with your electronic systems brings us to you first for either permission to analyze the equipment so we can modify existing systems or produce our own that will fill our needs.

Another system we are looking into upgrading our replacing are the hand grenades used by our military. Although most of it is new production with in the last ten years the design dates back to the 1940s. Currently we are looking to purchase your Hellsbreath hand grenade, but are also looking for other grenade varieties. We would like the assistance from your many experts in combat to help point us to suitable systems.

And lastly but certainly not least we would like the domestic production rights for the 6.5mm x 45mm JMC. Due to the large number of weapons in our inventory that use this round (both from you and other suppliers) we do not believe that once these weapons are issued that we will have sufficient war stock available in the event of a possible conflict. We would also like any more information about weapon accessories made by Lyran Arms besides what is available on your storefront.

Unrelated to the needs of the Infantry Corps the Armored Corps would like to inform your company that the superbly designed LY 219 APC has proven to be underestimated by us previously in both performance and transportability. Although the relatively weak armament of the APC (something we may possibly wish to enhance in the future) remains a source of concern, the vehicle has begun replacing the LAV-25 in our service. Ironically the version we have been using is only slightly lighter than the LY219. We however are in the process of developing a very low footprint infantry vehicle to replace the LAV-25. This vehicle will be fast, maneuverable, rugged and provide infantry support in urban and other constricted terrain environments, and serve as an easily transported first wave until heavier assets can arrive. Also in the works by the Armored Corps are several armored car variants for reconnaissance and tank destroying.

This is my first interaction with Lyran Arms so I will take a few lines to introduce myself. I am Brigadier General Tomas Elderaige commander of the Strategic Air Defense Division, or SADD of the Korrodosian Air and Space Command. This unit is tasked with the defense of the airspace over the Korrodosian homeland. I have both aircraft as well as ground based SAM units under my command. And it is the high quality Skygaurd ABM system that brings me to contact you. Korrodos’ strategic policy does not include the use of nuclear or biological weapons in its warplans. Indeed we do not have any of this type of weapon in our stocks currently and have no program developing them either. We do however have a neighbor whom has developed NBC weapons to a quite capable degree. Now this country’s attention has turned to delivery systems, specifically ballistic missiles. Without a mutually assured destruction defense, or any sort of other non conventional deterrence ourselves, we are looking to procure a system that would not only defend us against delivery aircraft, but also the ballistic missiles our neighbor is developing. To do this we are proposing to buy one (1) Skygaurd Division at the price of 26bn dollars wired immediately upon confirmation of this order. Although we realize this weapon, especially the rampart missile is restricted technology our previous dealings with your country show that your people are both fair and understanding to other nation’s situations. If this order is acceptable we would like to then discuss the purchase of reload missiles for these systems. We are currently formulating our ammunition stockpiling upon a 1-2 year full scale conflict scenario and will obviously factor these numbers into the reload missile purchase size. We also invite your nation’s military experts to suggest to us any numbers for purchase as they have far more combat experience than me and my staff.
