Aria Model Range

Interior:

The Aria is a brand new hatchback for the 2012 model year. Riding on a new suspension setup and a new platform as well as a range of new engines, the Aria is set to take Rochard into a new phase in development.

The new platform is of a magnesium-aluminium composite where lightness means that the car will have better performance over previous models. With a newer suspension setup, the handling of the Aria is vastly improved. As well as this, the Aria has a range of new engines. These include:
A 1.5 litre four cylinder producing 159hp (118Kw) and 190lb/ft (257Nm) of torque
A 1.5 litre four cylinder turbodiesel producing 179hp (133Kw) and 210lb/ft (284Nm) of torque
A 1.8 litre four cylinder producing 200hp (149Kw) and 223lb/ft (302Nm) of torque
A 2.3 litre four cylinder producing 220hp (164Kw) and 250lb/ft (338Nm) of torque
A 2.3 litre four cylinder turbo producing 250hp (186Kw) and 301lb/ft (407Nm) of torque (Sport)

The Aria retains a double wishbone/coils springs/active tube damper setup in the front and a multi-link/coil springs/active tube damper setup in the rear with anti-roll bars added to the suspension to provide taught and responsive handling. For the Sport, the multi-link setup has been replaced with a similar setup to the front suspension. All brakes are ventilated disc.

The Aaria will now come in sedan and wagon form as well as a new Sport model. The standard SX, EX and LX trim levels have been retained with Sport being the only new introduction into the trim range. Customers will also have a new list of options as well as new equipment being introduced in the trim levels.

For safety, the Aaria comes with quad front airbags as standard along with double front and rear curtain and side airbags as well as A and B-Pillar airbags. Reversing sensors are standard and a reversing camera comes standard on LX trim models. Other improvements include ABS and AUBS as standard driver aides and well as traction and stability control. The state-of-the-art BAS system is also standard.

For comfort and entertainment, the Aria comes with a touch-screen version of the "OnRoad" onboard computer which has MP3/iPod/iPhone connectivity as well as an auxiliary USB port, Bluetooth, GPS with Google Maps application and other features. As well as this, the Aria comes with a CD player, AM/FM radio, electric mirrors, electric windows and electric front seats. The dual-zone climate control also keeps passengers cool or warm.

For convenience, the Aria has fold flat 60/40 split rear seating with luggage anchor straps and clips for keeping loose loads where they should be as well as a removable parcel shelf and anchor points on the roof for luggage pods and roof racks. Pods and racks for items such as kayaks and skis are offered as options.

Nova MPV

A new name for an entirely new vehicle. The 2012 Nova is the latest in Rochard's small MPV line. This new MPV comes with a whole range of new engines and new technology in a handsome new body.

Starting with the platform, the Nova shares the same platform as the Aria wagon. Thus, it has similar dimensions and a similar suspension setup. And that's not only the same thing it has in common. The Nova shares many of the same body panels and similar engines. However, there are some subtle changes. The Nova is underpinned by an independent MacPherson stut setup with coil springs and horizontal stabilizer bars with a multi-link rear suspension setup with coil springs and active tube dampers. The platform itself is made from an aluminium-magnesium alloy, making it light. With these new components, the Nova is only 5kg heavier than its predecessor.

The Nova has a new range of engines and also retain the "EcoSmart" diesel range. The engines include:
- A 1.8 litre four cylinder unit with 200hp (149Kw) and 223lb/ft (302Nm) of torque
- A 1.8 litre four cylinder turbodiesel unit with 230hp (171Kw) and 255lb/ft (345Nm) of torque
- A 2.3 litre four cylinder engine with 220hp (164Kw) and 250lb/ft (338Nm) of torque
- A 2.5 litre four cylinder with 265hp (197Kw) and 273lb/ft (369Nm) of torque

Inside, we have made use of the extra space available. There is now a central overhead storage compartment as well as a new three-stage center console with front and middle cup holders. The Nove comes with 60/40 split-fold rear seats which can fold flat or be removed entirely from the vehicle. For extra passengers, the Nova has an extra row of seats which fold out of the floor of the rear cargo space, providing an extra two seats so that the Nova can carry seven passengers.

Driver aids have been included in the form of Traction and Stability Control as well as Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), anti-lock brakes and the state-of-the-art Blindsport Awareness System (BAS). As well as this, options on the Nova include front parking assist and lane departure warning.

Safety wise, Rochard has not left any stone unturned. As well as the aids above, the Nova comes with 14 airbags in the form of quad front airbags, twin side and curtain airbags (front and rear) and twin A and B-Pillar airbags. For added peice of mind, the Nova is also fitted with a reversing camera with pan and zoom function,

Puma SUV

Interior:

Command of the road is what you will have when you drive the Puma SUV. But don't let its size fool you. The Puma comes with a whole new array of fuel saving engines and features, including Active Fuel Management Systems as well as the Emissions Recirculation System (ERS) and new "Stop-Go" technology. The Puma now has the "EcoSmart" range added to its engine choices, with a new 3.5 litre V6 Diesel and a 4.4 litre V8 Diesel. Also new to the range is a 4.4 litre V8 Biturbo with more power and torque without damaging the environment.

The interior is all about luxury with genuine wood inserts and a full leather interior. The Puma now has the "OnRoad" in-car computer with added functions and new Google Maps uploads and display. The OnRoad now also houses the technology for the Adaptive All Wheel Drive System and includes touchscreen function. The Adaptive AWD includes provisions for ride height, custom traction settings, torque conversion as well as different terrain settings and independent wheel traction management. A low range gearbox and hill descent control come as standard.

Functionality remains key in the design of the interior as well, with 60/40 split rear seats with fold-flat function and inbuilt anchor points for interior loads. There are convenient storage areas which are within reach of the driver and passengers and a in-car DVD system can be specified which can be controlled via the OnRoad computer. Customers have the opportunity to specify other functionality enhancements from the options list.

We have taken safety into consideration as well with the Puma. As well as twin front, side, curtain airbags for both front and rear passengers, the Puma now has added A and B-Pillar airbags for added safety protection. As well as anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, the Puma now has the Blindspot Awareness System (BAS) which alerts the driver of blindspot dangers when changing lanes, turning or reversing, but also monitors traffic flows around the vehicle and can even monitor the GPS route so that it knows when the warnings can be given. Other enhancements include a reversing camera with zoom and swivel functionality which gives the driver unparalled rear visibility. The Puma also has a Roll-Over Avoidance System (ROAS) which monitors the lean or camber of the vehicle and adjusts the suspension height accordingly.

Other features included in the Puma are light-sensitive headlights, rain-sensing windscreen wipers and an inbuilt memory system for the CD player.

Aventure Compact Crossover SUV

We're thinking outside the box with the new Aventure. Still the same mix of urban chic and offroad ability, the new Aventure is smaller and more capable than the previous model and comes with a range of new engines along with a massive weight saving program to reduce the weight on the new Aventure, thus reducing fuel and making it more powerful.

The new Aventure is based on a modified platform on that of the Aria and the new lightweight construction of the platform makes it much stronger and durable, giving the Aventure more ability to tackle rough terrain. As well as a new platform, the Aventure comes with a series of new engines and a new front suspension setup. Gone is the previous multi-link setup, which has been replaced with a more driver orientated double wishbone suspension setup whilst still retaing the height adjustment features of the previous model. For the rear, we have reatained the old setup with more stiffer springs and better load bearing capabilities.

As well as the new suspension and platform, the Aventure also benefits from a range of new petrol and diesel engines which are present in the Rochard and the Safrane range. These are:
-A 1.5 litre four cylinder turbodiesel engine with 159hp (118kW) and 190lb/ft (270Nm) of torque
-A 2.0 litre four cylinder petrol engine with 200hp (149kW) and 223lb/ft (302Nm) of torque
-A 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel engine with 152hp (111kW) and 170lb/ft (230Nm) of torque
-A 2.5 litre four cylinder turbocharged petrol/diesel engine with 285hp (212kW) and 293lb/ft (396Nm) of torque

As well as the new engines, there are some slight changes to the transmissions as well. The Aventure now comes with an electronic low range gearbox which is activated when the Hill Ascent/Descent System (HADS) is activated. As well as this, the same transmissions remain, but the shifting times have been reduced thanks to better quality components saving you fuel.

Inside, there is more new additions with regards to safety and security. A GPS locator is now fitted as standard inside the onboard computer which can be used to track the car down if it is stolen. However, a new engine demobilisation system is now fitted, along with new front passenger and driver's knee airbags. The same ammount of driver aids, such as Traction and Stability Control as well as Brake Force Distribution systems are all present.

As Rochard's flagship model, the Geneva is fitted with the best that money can buy. From its sumptously appointed interior, with its full leather trim and use of genuine chrome and brushed aluminium inserts to world-class safety features and advanced, state-of-the-art technology, the Geneva is in a class of its own. A whole new platform will underpin this model and variations will be used for the other models for 2012.

The Geneva comes with two new V8 engines for 2012: a 5.0 litre V8 and a 4.0 litre Safrane unit. The 5.0 litre unit produces 510hp (380Kw) and 605lb/ft (819Nm) of torque. The 4.0 litre Safrane unit has been up-rated to give 425hp (316Kw) and 501lb/ft (678Nm) of torque. Transferring power to a permanent AWD setup are three gearboxes: a 7 speed manual, a 6 speed automatic and a 7 speed DSG. As well as the new engines and transmissions, the Geneva has a new suspension set-up. A double wishbone suspension and coil springs all-round improves handling with electrically adjustable air-pistons and adaptive tension coil springs improve stability and comfort.

For safety, Rochard has pulled out all of the stops. Quad front airbags, dual curtain airbags (front and rear), dual side airbags (side and rear) as well as A and B-Pillar airbags are all standard. Technology wise, the Geneva comes with the state-of-the-art Blindsport Awareness System (BAS), a rear-view camera with pan and zoom function that engages automatically when reverse gear is selected, night-vision enabled Bi-Xenon headlights with steering track function, Adaptive Tint Windows (ATW), which change tint according to light conditions, a frontal collision avoidance system, which measures the distance between the front of the car and various objects in front and to the side and applies the brakes when necessary are all standard technological features. ABS, Traction Control, Stability Control, Pre tensioned seatbelts and laminated windows are all standard as well.

Inside, the Geneva is fitted out with a sumptous leather trim, available with many colour combinations. Real chrome trim features as well as a more advanced "MyCar" onboard computer which now has new features such as internet connectivity, iPhone compatability as well as an input jack for any iPod or MP3 player. The computer also has a 20gig memory module which holds various items, such as map routes, electric front seat adjustment settings as well as room for your favourite songs. The seats now come with electric adjustment as well as heating and massage functions with various factory or custom settings. A fully electric sunroof is also standard.

Due to a recent reviewof the Rochard Aventure crossover SUV, we have decided that a modification is needed. In the review, the driver found that the Aventure was chronically underpowered. At Rochard, we seek excellence and quality with our products. As a result, we are now proud to announce that a new 3.5 litre V6 engine with 330hp and 290lb/ft of torque will be added to the range of engines available in the Aventure. A 3.5 litre "EcoSmart" V6 diesel engine is scheduled for addition to the Avetnure engine range in the 4th quarter of this year.
