Rauwe Motor Company seeks partner to build minivan/MPV [IC]

Postby Britainaston » Thu May 21, 2009 2:47 am

From: Mark Simons, Rauwe Motor Group Research & Development Dept.
To: All NS nations

Rauwe Motor Company are looking into a joint-venture to build a luxury 7-seater multipurpose vehicle (MPV) / or minivan (for US/Canadian readers).
We have attempted negotiations with Celsan Motors and Kulsah Motor Corporation, but they did not succeed.

The plan is for the MPV to be offered as a 5-door, 7-seater multipurpose vehicle (MPV) - [OOC: If US/Canadian readers read this note MPV is synonymous with minivan, 4-door, 7-passenger minivan, in this case.] which will have a 2.0-litre/124bhp 4-cylinder or 2.8-litre/171bhp V6 (174bhp V6 on 4x4/4WD/AWD versions), plus a 2.0-litre/138bhp 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine(badged as 2.0 TDI). The 2.8 V6 petrol and 2.0 TDI are Volkswagen-sourced and the TDI versions will be badged 2.0 TDI 140.

It will be launched in July or August 2009; but since we have found no-one to work with on this project it is "on hiatus" until a manufacturer is found.

We appreciate your input, and would welcome any comments on this.

We currently only market one minivan, the Rauwe Maunden MV, which is a slightly restyled, and rebranded version of the Pontiac Montana SV6 design (original design shown below):
Image

Current versions of the Maunden MPV have a 2.3-litre/158hp 4-cylinder, and a 3.9-litre/240hp V6 petrol, plus a 2.5-litre/160hp International Motori (IMI) 4-cylinder turbodiesel, which is branded
2.5 TDi. Currently, the 2.5 TDi versions are based on a Volkswagen design, but have been tuned by our engineers to meet our needs.

Trim levels currently are Base, S, X, SL, GSi, GSi Executive and Stirling [Note: This is not the same as Rover's Sterling trim level].

The base-level trim is available only with the
2.3 petrol or 2.5 TDi engines, whilst S trim is a more upmarket version of the base trim. X trim gets the addition of all-wheel-drive, and is available only with the 3.9 V6 petrol engine.
SL trim gets all three engines, as does GSi. GSi Executive and Stirling versions only get the 3.9 V6 and 2.5 TDi engines. All-wheel-drive (AWD) is optional on GSi Executive, at £750 over front-wheel-drive versions.

Currently, we export this car to 40 nations - trim levels vary.

Dear Mr. Simons
Celholden Automotive Ltd. is actively interested in taking up your offer. We await your reply with interest.
If a deal is agreed, we plan to market it in our nation, and also to export it too. However, we also intend to offer turbocharged petrol versions, plus a V6 diesel option
as well.

Further negotiations can start now.

Negotiations with Alexei Motors have been accepted. (Note that in our market all Alexei vehicles will be badged as Alessei due to the letters in our dialect of English, ss is from
the Russoized version of English).

We will have a photograph of our MPV up by tomorrow. [OOC: If you are US/Canadian, please read "minivan" for "MPV"].

Engines and specifications are the first thing to discuss when negotiations start tomorrow.
