A Letter of Introduction

"Welcome to Gorsky-Avia! We offer the international trade community with a unique service: "Rent-A-Plane". Previously, many nations struggle with finding the right aircraft for their newly started airline. Fortunately, Gorsky-Avia, has come up with a solution which is sure to please both fledgling airlines and cars strapped nations alike: our "Rent-A-Plane" program. We will rent you an older aircraft which has been recently reconditioned for a limited time, for a cost much less than a new aircraft. The best part of this program? The leases on the aircraft only last as long as you need them too: no worries about long term costs. And our simple, robust Soviet aircraft need little maintenance, and because they are all Tu-154 model aircraft, which means they spend more time flying and earning you money. So make use of our "Rent-A-Plane" program today, and get your new airline started, without breaking the bank!"

History

The story of Gorsky Avia begins with the founding of Aeroflot, in 1921. As the National Airline of the Soviet Union, Aeroflot had many different flight units stationed thoughout the USSR, including several in the Northern Caucasus reigon. Amoung these was the Nalchik Flight Directorate, which was founded during the Airline's great post-WW2 expansion period. With the fall of the Soviet Union, Aeroflot's various units were spun off into private collective enterprises, and in 1991 Elbrus Avia was formed from the old Nalchik Flight directorate as the first privately owned airline of the Mountain Republic. Elbrus Avia was one of the longest lasting privately owned airlines in the region, and became well known for it's flights to Mt. Elbrus and blue, green, and white paint scheme. Unfortunately, however, the airline was not very profitable. In 2007, the airline was nationalized by the government and rebranded as Grozny Avia, and continued operations, adopting a new fleet scheme of red, white, and green. Despite government ownership, it remained unprofitable due to the global recession of 2008. In 2013, 60% of the company was sold to the workers of the airline to improve morale, and Gorsky Avia was formed on it's basis. The new airline adopted a modified Grozny Avia livery for it's fleet. Significant funds were also spent to improve the maintenance of aircraft and flight facilities in the Mountain Republic. In a bid to offset the losses of the domestic operation, the airline began offering Tu-154 aircraft for wet lease or charter in foreign nations.

Ownership

Gorsky-Avia is partly a collectively worker owned and operated company, and partly state owned. Yearly workers meetings are held to decide the strategic future, with elections taking place to vote on specific issues within the company, presented by the various Workers Soviets. As revenue of the airline is fairly low, much of the financial backing, and ergo ownership, of the company lies with the state, The Mountain Republic, which in exchange for it's support of the company has made it their flag carrier.

Aircraft Leasing

The core of our bisuness is providing long term, low cost leasing for customers in need aircraft. This service is ideal for airlines looking to start or expand their services, or cover aircraft shortages until newer aircraft can be purchased.

Gorsky-Avia offers standard Tu-154B2 all-economy seat airliners for long term leasing. Sleek, 200-seat aircraft, Tu-154B-2 trijet jetliners are some of the fastest airliners to ever be built, and have served for many years safely and reliably. Their capacious holds also allow for some offset of fuel costs by providing capacity for under-floor cargo transport.

Gorsky-Avia also offers leasing of luxury aircraft. Our ViP configured Tu-154M is ideal for those looking to travel in comfort and style. It features 80 luxury seats in three classes, and state of the art amenities. In addition to these features, the aircraft also retains military grade telecommunication equipment, which allow it to act as a flying command post for civilian government in case of emergency.

We offer all our aircraft for 'Wet Lease", meaning that we will provide Lessees with full aircraft crews, maintenance, and insurance in a addition to the aircraft.

Arthropolian people are concerned about the old planes used by your company, and will consider services if you modernise your fleet. To help, we have some used relatively new planes like the A320 and A330 for sale with massively cut down prices on this thread- viewtopic.php?f=6&t=420687
Our government will also sell you new planes if you wish. We believe that buying these planes will also help you reduce costs, as they are a lot more efficient than the Tu-154's.

We would to see a update in your fleet of old 60s Tu-154 when the same company has now Tu-204 and Ilyushin with the IL-86/96 and it would be fine if you had A300s and A310s or the 757 or 767 as they are efficent models. If you do a update in your outdated fleet we would consider leasing/renting your aircraft.

Also I would suggest you also start Airline services by actually flying people instead operating it for other airlines for a one/two week rental/lease service.

We thank you gentlemen for your responses to our advertisements. As Gorsky-Avia's leasing and rental service is new to the marketplace, we are unsurprised that there seems to be some confusion as to both it's origins and mission as a company. Please allow us the liberty of better explaining ourselves. Grosky Avia has a long history of operating both domestic and international flights as a conventional airline, both recently and historically as a former division of Aeroflot. Recent market anlysis showed a distinct lack of aircraft leasing and charter options, for new airlines looking to expand their businesses. We believe that offering older equipment at a lower price than newer aircraft offers considerable savings in the short term for growing airlines to fill capacity while newer equipment is on order. Furthermore, our short term ViP charter business offers nations which cannot afford a full Presidential\Royal Jet the use of a suitably equipped aircraft on short notice, for considerably less than the purchase of an aircraft which might only be used once. These pressing needs, combined with increasing competition from foreign airlines, convinced us to refocus our small company on exploiting the gaps in the aircraft market today and focusing our traditional airline services solely on our domestic market.

Our company has, thanks to it's long history as a former part of Aeroflot, considerable experience with the operation and maintenance of the Tu-154 series of aircraft. These aircraft feature considerable advantages over it's inferior capitalist rivals, such as the ability to take off from shorter runways, and lower ground weight which allows it to operate from the airfields available in less developed nations, ensuring our aircraft can be used by almost any interested customer. The Tu-154 series of aircraft where introduced into service in 1972, and until retirement in 2009 formed the bulk of that airlines fleet. The last example of the aircraft was produced in 1993. All aircraft in the Gorsky Avia fleet have received repair and modernization from Radiomatics Moorsburgh Aircraft in 2016, and were fully restored to safe flight status by that company. In addition, our Tu-154M aircraft has been fitted with the JIMPOS system offered by that company, ensuring ViPs are guarded by the latest countermeasure system.

We thank you for your interest, and hope that this statement gives you a better insight into our origins and mission as a company.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your interest in our company. Unfortunately, we must politely decline your offer. At the moment neither our finances nor our current business plans warrant the purchase of new equipment. However, if the need or opportunity arrises in the future for the purchase of further aircraft, be assured your company shall have first preference.

Dear Sir,

If it is agreeable with you, we will gladly offer a single Tu-154B2 for lease, at a standard price for one month for trial. If at anytime during the trial period you are not stratified with the aircraft, crew, or other support provided by our company as part of the terms of our lease you may return the aircraft to us and we will refund half the cost of said lease. We assure you that our aircraft are in the best of condition, having been overhauled just last year. Please fill out the standard lease form, and we will forward you a revised invoice based on the above agreement. Thank you for your interest, and we hope to continue to do bisuness with you in the future.

1 Tu-154M ViP aircraft, on charter for 1 week (due to this planes occasional use as a government transport it is not available for more than 1 week for charter).

Is there a way to eventually purchase the aircraft? If we are pleased with the aircraft, that would be our first Tuploev and would commemorate our airline's first new aircraft from a new manufacturer.

After separate careful safety testing, done by the Arthropolian Air Force, the Government of Arthropol has decided the Tu-154 aircraft are to its safety standards. We will be returning the aircraft early, as we have no further use for them. We will sell aircraft to Gorsky-Avia if requested.

Dear Comrades,

Due to the crash of our Tu-134 for transporting our glorious leader last week, our leader has been unable to travel internationally using her VIP aircraft. She has been trying new aircraft and the Air Force of the BSSR has recommended the Ilyushin Il-62 and the Tupolev Tu-154M for a replacement. However, seeing as we do not have a VIP suitable Tu-154 at our disposal, we have decided to lease one from you, to test them for our leader to choose. We also have some Soviet built aircraft we are hoping to sell, and we would be able to sell them to your airline if you wish to purchase. They are all Tu-134's and Il-62's. They have all been used to the mininum and are in perfect flying condition. Telegram our country if you wish to make a deal.

Renter Name: Byelorussian Air Force
Country of Origin: BSSR
Aircraft Type: Tu-154M
Aircraft Number: 1
Rental Length: (4 Weeks or 1 Week) 1 Week

Sincerely,
Government of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic

Comrades,

We have gladly filled your offer, as we are always eager to help our fellow Soviets. We are sorry to hear of your distress, and will in solidarity asset you as much as we are able. Although we aren't currently looking to expand our fleet, if our success thanks to wonderful customers like you continues we may change our plans in this regard. Should that happen, or should our other state enterprises require commercial aircraft in the future, we will gladly work with you to acquire more Tupolev aircraft. In the meantime, have a prosperous and safe future.

Take Care Tovarich,

Gorsky Avia
