Captain's Log, 16 April 3360.
Having successfully entered orbit around the small terrestrial world of this new system, christened Nova Britannia by the Royal Commission of Galactic Cartography, scans of the area suggest no signs of advanced civilization, as there is no trace of anything technological. Massive amounts of life-signs have been detected on the single planet of the system, but after further surveillance, there appears to be no evidence of anything but animal life on the surface. I've ordered that an away team be sent down to collect samples of the planet's features in hopes that we might find it suitable for colonization.

Henry Nelson gazed at the horizon from the clifftop, the spray of the ocean waves as they collided with the rock face below misting his face. It was beautiful. The water was a dark navy that frothed with white foam as it thrashed about; strange, brilliant birds of green and purple, whose wings were three times the size of their body and with heads like lizards, attacked with ferocity the lapping water, rising immediately after with fish affixed firmly in their clawed feet. The wind was a strong but warm breeze. He breathed in deeply and smiled.

"Reminiscent of home, wouldn't you say, Captain?" A man approached, the fine clothes he wore showing his rank as a naval officer. "Fitting, then, that we should name the planet after our nations mythical founding."

Nelson agreed. "But what good is it without its knights? Why, we haven't even brought down a round table to set up. It may possess the name, but it lacks the substance!"

"Indeed it does, Captain. Still, Camelot should live up to our expectations. The survey crew has collected enough evidence to convince Parliament that the planet is suitable for colonization. Atmosphere is brilliant, with nearly twenty-two percent oxygen. The soil is black and fertile. Mineral deposits should be rather abundant, especially in iron ore and tin, and samples of the local fauna suggest that it's alright for us. A perfect world, as it were."

"Yes," replied Nelson, "One that should be safe-guarded. Let us return to the ship, Number One. I'm going to leave you in system with a detachment of marines and enough supplies to set up a small encampment. I shall return to Earth with the samples and inform the King of our findings. Shouldn't be more than a month or two, and I shall return with fresh supplies. Then it should be an easy task for us; playing security guard while awaiting the colonists."
