With respect to Lyras asking for a halt to posting I'll just notify anyone interested here instead of writing it up just yet - my brigade's deep scouts are outside of Iu, and I hope to get into a skirmish or something with Unisilian (or anyone else already at Iu) spec ops/advance elements either inside or nearby to the city. I will begin this once Lyras has gotten his own post straightened out.

Once the thread is free for posting again, I'll move into Leinster Bay. I hope I will meet some opposition (but no nukes, please...).

NW Canada has established a beachhead in the southern fjord like point of Leinster Bay, as well as seizing a small harbor complex there. Our Beachmasters would be be able to help get your forces ashore if you wish through that point once posting is free again. The Horus class cruisers have a good ABM capability via missiles and COIL battery so your forces if close enough could be protected to whatever degree the thread determines.

The Fleet had arrived in the territorial waters of Greater Tezdrian, armed to the teeth, expecting a fight from this abhorrent slaving nation. Since then they had waited. And waited. Days had passed, and nothing had happened; no enemies, no cargo ships, nothing. Not even a stray radio signal. It was bizarre. Radar picked up missiles, and satellite feed suggested fighting. But at sea, there was absolutely nothing. Until the sonar blipped.

At first it seemed like nothing, perhaps a fishing boat. Then it grew. Eventually the commanders knew it had to be a fleet, perhaps greater than this Maltropian armada. Worried that it might be hostile, the communications officer radioed the incoming vessels while they were still someway out to sea.

"Unidentified vessels, this is the MNS Frankfield. We are conducting a naval embargo of the Tezdriani coast and these waters are off-limits. Please state whether you are hostile towards the Kingdom, Lyras, or Greater Tezdrian, or if you are a neutral party."

I guess that is aimed at me? What's the Orbat of your fleet?

Mine: Aircraft carriers IAS Imperial and Felicia (only just joined up with the fleet); air wing: 90 Sparrowhawks, 30 Raptors
4 Battleaxe-class cruiser
6 Hatchet-class frigates
4 Duke-Class frigates (British Type 23)
2 Daring-class destroyer (British Type 45)
Loads of transports
As many subs as Unilisia sends.

I had planned to land directly north of Ableyon. How far away from that is your beachhead?

Although it irks me, he has the right as OP to request such. After all, I can't complain, as I myself asked for a gag on posting.

I had planned to land directly north of Ableyon. How far away from that is your beachhead?

I am not sure of the scale of the map. (ie: how many km per cm) I have formations from about where you want to land (be it further out in the bay) and down the southern channel to where the bridge/causeway is. the carrier groups are furthest out, with the ESBGs and SAGs closer in.
The Horus classes alone carry
S-300FM/SA-N-20 Gargoyle: 150 km (93mile)
RIM-176 Standard ERAM: 100-200 nautical miles dependent on engagement envelope
RIM-161 Standard ABm/ASAT: 500 km (270 nautical miles)

The COIL battery Effective range varies according to type of target and altitude of target (low altitude targets are obscured at long ranges by the curvature of the Earth).

The Tribal Mk 2 DDG also carry the RIM-174 and RIM-161 but in smaller numbers.
The Republic and Province class FFGs carry RIM-174s

Then considering the placement of my formations would you agree that I would be able to provide ABM coverage to Aquilinia, considering the long range of the systems from my current positions. I always take in consideration the opposition and never post damage results as i think that it is rude and smacks of god modding so that is why i leave the effects always indefinite for you to decide GT.

The last missile will obviously separate into multiple warheads; most will be destroyed over the water, but I am thinking one should get through for RP fun times. So one warhead hits Ostgaard, lulz ensues. Like/dislike?

I only paid half up-front, and I have no intentions of providing the promised life insurance compensation to their family except if they win (God knows if that would happen).

Of course I would have my missile defence satellite uplinked to by every ship I have in the area...but let's just say the system is offline for maintenance. Stupid to do that while at war, but still...

After you fire from the silo, it would appear and be identified and then struck in quick order with planes from the five strikes being sent out against your five cities.

Which reminds me; I think we would all understand if you edited your post to include responses against Unilisian attacks against Iu and the bombing campaigns of Inka(Allanean and Marshite), Iu, Abyelon, Griffigaard, and Sophiagrad along with many bridges, roads, and the last silo. There are other actions, but I think we would be fine with editing your post to respond to actions already taken before that post in the thread since Lyras has called a halt to posting.

I think the northwest is relatively safe, all things considered, though a new Marshite force is on its way and will be landing there. But that is all I can think of at the top of my head.
