Just as an FYI, you should probably clear with Quendi how your ships managed to surprise his fleet.

One legionary in particular was weary, a farming lad from Bordeaux named Nathan Kauley. A scion of a wealthy little farmer clan, he had enlisted in the early days of the War, and was now thoroughly tired with it. He laid his helmet and weapons down behind a small grassy knoll, a rested his head and self down upon them, trying to catch a wink of sleep. His posturing and efforts would prove futile though, as what had happened had haunted him so...
"We got missiles!" at the call, the Legio's men hurled themselves to the ground, only to be lifted back into the air by the force of the Marshite attack. Nathan was slammed into the ground, lifted, and then thrown down again as the missiles impacted. Triage was useless in such situations, instead soldiers simply went to protect their friends and comrades above all, which of course lead to the deaths of many men who would have survived. It mattered little in the long run however, as the majority of the men had been blown apart by the munitions reacting to the heat of the coppered tanged air. The assault probably lasted only a few seconds, but it felt like centuries to Nathan, who drifted in and out of consciousness. To him, it would never end.
The Princeps merely lay there still, hours, days even, after his suicide attempt had been thwarted. There was little else to do, and he had grown tired of life. Not just of life, he had grown tired of everything. Apathetic would be the best word to describe him. He cared for nothing and no one, least of all himself. He was but a functioning vegetable.
Consul Gemellus broke out in a cold seat as he read of the Unilisian missile launch heading towards the key cities of the Republic. Praying that they were not nuclear, he ordered the immediate evacuation of civilians from the target cities, authorized the usage of AA defenses around the cities (purely ceremonial, as there were no intact AA systems left), and then packed his own bags. Walking into the long hallway, he hailed an aide, and then strode briskly towards the exit.
The Unilisian missiles came screaming down upon their targets, destroying huge portions of them and rendering them inhabitable. Most were deserted, except for the city of IU, still bustling with activity while the officials frantically tried to relocate the civilian population. No more. Thousands perished in what would become known as the "Iu Massacre" and that ancient city crumbled to the ground. Meanwhile, the cities of Sophiagrad and Griffigaard miraculously managed to deflect a handfull of missiles by firing the decrepit AA systems that still surrounded those cities, saving them from utter annihilation.
Genellus sat in the darkened room, reading over the Art of War and other classic titles. A grim looking aide entered, passing him reports of the Unilisian, Alleanan, Afrikaner, and Canadian strikes. He swore softly to himself as he read them, knowing that there were many millions who had been unable to evac in time. His face grew clouded as he read of the near destruction of the Legio Valeria, and he came to a final decision. "I hereby authorize the usage of nuclear warheads. Give the Magnalegatus free reign over their targets. As the aide nodded and left, the Consul pondered the consequences of his choice."
Did I miss anyone? Also, forgot to mention, there is no Azteka. The map is somewhat out of date.

Perhaps you meant "rendering them uninhabitable."

If they get permission and can justify their actions to the Maltropian Navy, yes they will. If my fleet thinks they're moving to assist a slaving nation, they're going to have to fight their way through.

Holy Marsh wrote:What forces were in the Legio? When was it attacked(by the first air strikes six hours into it, that seems like the most likely one)? As discussed earlier in TG, the Marshite IC post was directed with a belief of two million men involved and since relative numbers would have been known, the response is scaled down in proportion to what you sent.
Beyond that, I think you got everything. Good job!

Ostgaard has been taken, Vulcan's Pass (that isthmus on the map of Tezdrian) is the site of western advance. Leinster Bay will be taken and used to attack Ableyon from the north, whilst Unilisian divisions advance from the east and move south. Holy Marsh and I are forestalling the Tezdriani attack and Allanea destroyed Venko.

Oh, that. Why the facepalm? I know he's not helping GT in anyway, but my fleet doesn't. I can say one thing and RP another, you know.
