The Northern Face was just about the most swinging place in New Denver. Want to meet someone? Go to The Northern Face. Want to dance the night away? Go to The Northern Face. Want to get laid? Go to The Northern Face. Want to get drunk, dance like it's the 70s, and wake up the next morning in an unfamiliar room with no memory of the night before? The Northern Face is an excellent place to do that. It's also one of the most open places: most nightclubs in New Denver are Lyndiana only. But The Northern Face accepts all nationalities, and the only Lyndianan staff members are the DJ and the owner, and both speak several languages.
Speaking of the DJ, Alex Patterson was getting ready for the night. The Face (as it was called) did surprisingly well during the day, but the real action came at night. At 8:45, the bar started serving drinks half-off, and Alex started playing his best tracks. He picked out some of the biggest hits of the last month, as well as some good stuff from obscure bands. More than one garage band made it big by way of The Face. Having one of your bands CDs picked to be played was a big honor, since only the best was played. The tracks were picked. The sound had been checked. The drink supply had been stocked.
The Face was ready to party.

Paige walks in and steps behind the bar, taking a look at her work space.

"Everything stocked, check", she smiles.

She turns to look out over the rest of the Northern Face and really likes what she sees.

"Well girl you wanted to see what it was like, you left LadyRebels to try a new flavor so now all you have to do is savor the moment", she says under her breath.

She grabs a rag and starts to wipe down the already clean bar.

Paige walks in and steps behind the bar, taking a look at her work space.

"Everything stocked, check", she smiles.

She turns to look out over the rest of the Northern Face and really likes what she sees.

"Well girl you wanted to see what it was like, you left LadyRebels to try a new flavor so now all you have to do is savor the moment", she says under her breath.

She grabs a rag and starts to wipe down the already clean bar.

Alex was checking all the connections in the sound systems.
"Howdy, Paige. Ready for the rush?" he asked, grinning. 73% of the club's income was made after dark. 60% of that was made on drinks.

Paige smiles over at Alex.

"oh yea baby I am so ready, you got the tunes, I got the pours", she grabs an unopened bottle and tosses it round one handed for a minute, "cha glad to see I ain't lost my style man."

She puts the bottle back down and leans an elbow on the bar, looking over at DJ Alex.

"So you gonna heat us up with some awesome tuneage?", she grins.

"That's what I'm here for. Hey, can you toss me a Flaggers?" (Flaggers: Commercial beer in Lyndiana.)
He had picked out all the tracks for the night, tossing in a few local things. He also had a piece of paper on which he was scrawling possible new speaker configurations. He had a bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering from the University in New Denver. He had graduated in the top 2% of the class with a 3.76 GPA. He had gotten scholarships to all kinds of grad schools, but he decided that he wanted to stay in New Denver.

"We have it on tap, would you rather that, a bottle or a can", she smiles over at him.

Paige pours a shot of vodka for Kane into a frosty little shot glass pulled from the reach in fridge under the bar.

"Here you are sir", she smiles at Kane.

"Coming right up Alex", she calls out to him.

Reaches into the reach in, grabs a can and a clean towel. She steps from behind the bar for a moment and walks over to Alex.

"Here you go DJ", she wipes the top, pops open the can and hands it over to him, "hope you enjoy your Flaggers."

She heads back to the bar.

Simon had been doing the usual tourist crap and of course he was bored of it. So we wandered around looking for a place to get a drink and have a bit of a party so to speak and find a place he did. He wandered it and noticed it must have just open since virtually no one was there yet. he walked over to the bar and said "I'd like a whiskey on the rocks please."

Alice Noba walked into the face. She had heard about this nightclub from friends, and was interested. When she walked in, she was pleasantly surprised. This place was great. The music was great, and she automatically relaxed. She was prepared for some great partying.
But before she started to dance, she wanted some liquid courage. Not only would she be braver, she felt that she was a little less serious with alcohol in her system. She walked towards the bar. At the bar, she looked at the bartender, she seemed like a nice enough woman.
"I would like a Flaggers. My friends introduced me to it a while ago. I must say, it might be the best beer in the world"

Paige turns with a smile at both of the new comers into the bar.

"Well hello there", she says as she reaches for a tumbler and the best whiskey the bar has, "Nice to see you here."

"Would you care for", pulls out several different rocks and sets them in front of Simon, "any of these rocks?" she smiles and winks at Simon.

She pours about four fingers into the tumbler over ice and set it in front of Simon.

She turns to Alice and smiles, "I really think it is best from the tap", she pulls out a frosty stein from the reach in fridge and pulls some Flaggers from the tap.

"Of course if you don't care for it this way, we do have cans and bottles", she places the frosty stein in front of Alice.

Paige laughs.

"The Boss has not told me how much to charge, and you are one of our first patrons, so I would have to say on the house?", she smiles at Simon.

Alice thanked Paige for the beer and tipped well. It was always good to be nice to people.
Alice sat at the bar and drank he Flaggers. She was going to wait for the DJ to spin a great song to dance to.
The ambiance of The Face was interesting, and she liked it. It seemed to be full of locals. As her mother said, the best places in a foreign country are where the natives go.

Paige tilts her head to the side and smiles.

"So what have you been doing?", she grabs a rag and starts to wipe down the bar again.

She calls out to Alex, "So DJ you need another Flaggers?"

Alex decided that the night had started. He grabbed a hand-held microphone that was lying on his sound board.
"Alright, Northern Face, are you ready for the night to begin?"

"Hey, can I get one of those Flaggers? We don't have them in Inkarzikan-Sardonia."
He took a seat, eagerly waiting for the DJ to put something good down. He looked at Simon.
"Hi, doesn't this place seem nice? Can't wait for night."
He chugged the rest of his vodka, and was looking at the Flaggers bottle.
He looked at the DJ
"Hell Yeah!"

Alice heard the DJ, and cheered. The party was about to begin. She was interested in what type of music Lyndianans danced to.
