"I'll show you. He won't leave me, I'll be too strong." Guinevere said, tears from her eyes.

"I will make you strong, strong enough for a prince, strong enough to make her pay." Elru promised.

Guinevere opened the bottle, and drank its contents, then passed out.

Guinevere passed out for a moment, laying face down on the ground.

She would come to with Arthur standing over her, Kemble behind him.
Arthur looked worried and concerned.

"Guinevere, are you okay?" He asked.

[Warhaven]

"Morgana." Guinevere said quietly.

Time froze, leaving Lara and Jack, Matthew and Adela the only four unfrozen. The area around them began to twitch and morph, into the peak of The Great Mountain, Omni standing next to them.

"I have waited for this day, for over 200.000 years. Ever since Kyle Xilanthese, kidnapped firstborn child of Xos and Kalia Xilanthese, drank a potion that promised him strength to defeat Shadowlord. It was all a clever trap by Shadowlord you see, for that potion contain the most powerful of the Blood Demons, Elru. Upon drinking it, Kyle became The Red Death, and with the strength of Elru, slaughtered several billion single-handedly. His two children, when they became Guinevere's age, fell to Elru's power, for he is passed on in the blood. Their combined death toll, reached over 25 billion lives. The third generation, raised by their psychotic parents, prayed to me to save them. Thus was born the rite Guinevere was to take part in next week, to swear loyalty to me, to let my light fill her, to protect her from Elru.

The die is cast, choices were made, actions have been taken. Guinevere, is now Elru's servant, the ancient demon woke again, because of one young jealous princess, who would not share her brother, even for a day." Omni said.

"What?" Lara asked, frightened for her daughter.

"Oh Morgana," Matthew said, ashamed, "How many times must we tell you to share."

"I am truly sorry," Adela said to Lara.

[Warhaven]

"What happens now?" Jack asked.

"Now? Nothing." Omni said. He turned into an incarnation of Whovos on the spot, the Chessmaster.

"It's strategy you see, tactics. Have you ever won a war, without losing any lives in the process?" Omni asked.

"I'm afraid I don't understand." Lara said.

"Well, to put it simply. If I were to rip Elru out of Guinevere now, it would kill her. If I do nothing, she lives. Of course, the loyalty hold is broken, so she could in theory, murder every living soul in Beeching House, if the mood struck her, except, not. See, a different force also awoke in Guinevere this morning, when she kissed Arthur. Oh she doesn't realize it yet, I doubt he does either. All either knows, is that they really like each other. But love, is the strongest form of Loyalty there is, and Guinevere will never be able to bring herself to kill Arthur, or his family. Of course she won't realize it's because she loves him for a number of years. But the fact remains, she won't let Elru kill any of Arthur's family. Not even Morgana. She might let him beat her up a little, but certainly not kill her." Omni said.

"And what of everyone else?" Lara asked.

"That's a good question." Omni said, waiting for an answer.

"Gods, Immortals, and Master Wizards, especially those in the Spirit, Written, and Energy domains, plus Phoenix Sapiens," Jack said, realization dawning on him.

"Now you're thinking Jack." Omni said, his Chessmaster form grinning.

"The question is," Matthew said, getting over his initial shock of Omni's current form, "Do we let Elru know that we know, or do we continue, hiding the cards we hold?"

[Warhaven]

"hide, for now. Let Elru play his game. There will be times, when he is in control. He will seek destruction, and death. A great war is coming, this then will be of great use. During all other times, arrange to have someone that, will not stay dead, block Elru controlled Guinevere. Those so placed, will die, several times, but Elru will be beaten back, weakened each time.

When Guinevere is old enough, and the war has ended, then it will be time. I will pull Elru from Guinevere, and she will be free. She will also have learned how Magekillers can combat The Deep Magic. Thus, this situation can be resolved, without anything that cannot be undone. I tell you this now, both so you can assist in such arrangements, and so you know Guinevere herself is innocent, for it will indeed look like she has gone insane, and in her insanity, become a bloodthirsty monster." Omni said.

"I, understand. I am not happy about it, but I understand. Next week, we should proceed as normal?" Lara asked.

"Yes. Though the rites will have no affect on her." Omni said.

"You mentioned a war, what war?" Jack asked.

"Now is not the time for that. You will learn of that from another source." Omni said.

"And today?" Lara asked.

"Soon shall Arthur and Guinevere come tell you themselves of Morgana's actions. Pretend you know nothing of what I have said, and proceed normally. When Guinevere becomes short tempered, Elru rises within her, and arrangements should be made to sooth Elru." Omni said.

Suddenly, they were back in the villa. Time unfroze.

"Morgana, is she still around?" Guinevere asked, getting up.

"She's outside the maze," Arthur said, "Laughing it up. Come on, we'll ride on Kembel and tell dad about her."

[Warhaven]

Guinevere got on Kembal, and turned to give Arthur a hand.

Arthur hopped up with no help needed and flew the dragon to the balcony.

"Dad, Morgana trapped us in the maze," Arthur complained.

"Oh dear, Morgana, is that true?" Matthew asked.

"No daddy," Morgana sniffled, "I got lost in the maze. I didn't see them in there."

[Warhaven]

"it's true, My Aura had that itch it gets whenever Deep Magic is active." Guinevere said.

She paused.

"And that wasn't even the first time, that was the second time today. The first time Arthur and I went in there and she stayed on the outside twisting the maze around us. The only way Arthur and I could get out was my Aura grew stronger after I kissed him. It's weak again now though." Guinevere said.

"Well, she did say you two were kissing in the garden." Jack said thoughtfully.

"The maze can be very scary, it seems to twist and turn around you," Adela said.

"Besides, Morgana hasn't learnt enough to start messing around with her magic," Matthew said, "She can barely move her toys with her magic."

[Warhaven]

"But it was her. The second time she unleashed an incredible fog, and turned the maze into a dark and scary place." Guinevere protested.

"Well, there is one way, one sure fire way to resolve this. We could call, her headmaster. Draconus could have the truth sorted in a few minutes." Jack said.

"Well, so could Varence, if he ever got here. A simple matter of a few spells." Lara said.

[The Floor Kippers]

"What's a simple matter of a few spells?" Varence asked, stepping onto the balcony.

[Warhaven]

"Arthur and Guinevere claim Morgana has been tormenting them with her magic. She claims otherwise, and we have no proof ourselves she's actually that strong. I'm certain you can, with a few spells, find out the truth." Lara said.

Varence cast a spell on Morgana, scanning her, Little did he know she usually cloaked her true power level, meaning.

"Very basic levels of magic," Varence said, "I doubt she could mess around with something the size of a maze."

[Warhaven]

"Hawhawhaw. Man, she's got you fooled." Draconus said from Jack.

Rainbow smoke poured from Jack's nostrils.\, his eyes flashing rainbows, the smoke beginning to coalesce into Draconus.

"Oh, Hello Draconus," Varence said, "What do you mean?"

[Warhaven]

"That little girl is cloaking her true power level. Here, let me show you what I really mean." Draconus said.

He inhaled as Jack went back to normal, and exhaled a blast of Rainbow flame making all sight go white. There they were able to see that mornings events, of Morgana tormenting the pair. But, nothing was seen of Elru taking over Guin. Instead, it merely looked like she'd become distressed from Morgana's abuse, and hurtful words.

The vision ended, with Jack and Lara glaring at Morgana.

"She's quite strong." Draconus said, shattering her cloak.

"Scan again." Draconus said, preventing Morgana from hiding her true ability.

Varance did, and his eyebrows nearly left his face.

"By the gods, her power level, it's beyond anything I've seen for her age," He said.

"Morgana," Matthew said sternly, "I am very upset with you. You will go to the study and remain there until dinner. And if you even think about using magic to slip out, think again. I'll have Varence watching the room, if he detects anything, you'll be grounded till you're Arthur's age."

[Warhaven]

He looked at Guinevere for a moment, then at Lara.

"I'm sure she'll be fine." He said simply, and Lara realized he knew exactly what had really happened to Guinevere.

"Lara, Jack, Guinevere, I do apologise for Morgana's behaviour," Adela said, "I hope it hasn't spoiled your day."

[Warhaven]

"Are you kidding, I got my first kiss ever, and it was with Arthur!" Guinevere said, totally delighted over that one fact.

Draconus chuckled.

"Varence my good man, I think our sessions need to take a different turn, to help you stay on top of the truth." Draconus said.

"it was a nice kiss, wasn't it?" Arthur said, smiling at the thought of it.

"You're right," Varence said, "This highlights that fact."

[Warhaven]

"So, I guess we'll need to be wary of her next week." Lara said.

"Oh gracious no child. I'll be there too. Why if Varence tagged along, he could be one of the volunteer magi throwing illusions around for the children to demonstrate their skills on. Now I've got to get back, I've been studying Blood Demons." Draconus said.

"Oh, what did you find out about them so far?" Lara asked.

"Those that used them, also tend to employ a strong positive emotional focus, someone, or something, or even some place, they really like, maybe even love. Such a focus helps the user come back to normal, if the Blood Demon gets out of control." Draconus said.

He began dissipating into rainbows.

"Well, if we ever consort with Blood Demons, we'll keep that in mind." Lara said, shooting Matthew a knowing look.
