But the parental interruptions weren't done yet, as Pondera came along.

"There you are. I see you found the powerful Death entity." Pondera said.

"Yes father," Susan replied, "His name is Leon, he's a Death Phoenix."

"Is it true you threw your children's first boyfriends and girlfriends into The Void?" Leon asked, wide eyed.

"No. That's just a derogatory rumor started because some parties don't like Sara's sexuality." Pondera explained.

"That's a relief." Leon said.

"Say, if you ever feel like coming up to the palace to visit Susan, you should get a security clearance before you go home." Pondera said to Leon.

Then to Susan...

"Your mother and the girls went off with Nyx to her appointment." He told Susan.

"Well, alright, but if you two decide to keep this up, such as getting together for the fair this Saturday, then you'd better take him to Red's office for security clearance. I'll let him know you're coming." Pondera said, then turned and left.

"So, as I was saying before, what now?" Leon asked.

"Oh, who's the lucky fellow taking you to the fair?" Leon asked, hoping he was the answer, as they approached the castle. Red's office was to the right, through a gate to the fifth floor.

"Well, his name is Leon, he's a death phoenix and to tell the truth, I haven't asked him yet," Susan replied leading the Way to Red's Office.

Red sat behind his desk simply watching them.

"I'll ask him after we're done here," Susan said before turning to Red, "Hi Red, I want to give Leon here security clearance to come and visit me."

"Yes, your father mentioned it was ok." Red said. The hypernet began a facial recognition search for Leon.

It popped up on screen.

"Leon Sacerdos. Adopted son of Mort Sacerdos. Security clearance to visit with the Imperial Family granted by authorization of The Emperor. Now, this means you have to mind your manners within the palace. You don't, and any member of The Imperial Family could have it suspended. The three oldest, William, Sara, and Sarah Angel can fully revoke it. The Emperor and Empress can not only revoke it, but can also ban you from the castle. I can do all that too, should you prove to be a security threat. So make sure you behave yourself." Red warned.

"Yes sir." Leon said, and Red pushed a button, updating Leon's national id with Imperial Security Clearance.

She turned to Leon.

"So, Leon, would you like to come to the fair with me on Saturday?" She asked.

Red smiled.

Leon offered his arm to susan so they could go back to the garden. There they'd spend the rest of the day talking.

Later, Nyx and the girls would crawl home, mentally exhausted from hearing the Ancients lecture at them all day long, explaining various things for Nyx's benefit. She was fully functioning again though.

.....

Days later.....

The Vexals were headed out to the lambert's private estate somewhere else in The Floor Kippers...

They had been invited to a garden party, just for fun, at the Royal Family's Wilding Estate, several miles of rolling grass and forests surrounding a big old country house, complete with walled gardens and a maze.
While the Adults chatted over cocktails Arthur, Guin and Morgana were left to their own devices.
"Hey Guin," Arthur said, "Want to go explore the maze?"
