MIS La Serenissima, 2000 kilometers from destination
Princess Aleera Alcedina-Aquilaine, High Representative of the Provisional Government and High Commisionaire of the First Fleet had decided that she could not wait untill her fleet arrived at its destination. While Sremski Okrug where perhaps technically speaking an ally of the senate and people and while she had been authorized to offer relief aid to the nation it was none the less a communist state and as such by default a threat to the Imperial House of Alcedina. It would not go well with voters if the Provisional Government despite its massive amount of forces in the region was sidelined by Sremski Okrug in the trial of the tezdriani criminals. Aleera was bent on securing that any peace agreement would be influenced by Quendi interests.
Not willing to wait another day or two before her fleet would arrive the young girl had embarked a special designed QU-9 Katana with a passenger seat to bring her to the trial as quickly as possible. Aboard several CH-47 Chinook's her legal team and diplomatic entourage where being prepared for transport. The princess had to smile a litte despite her saddness when she saw lawyers and bureaucrats being guided into the helicopters. Her smile however turned stiff as she was helped into the Katana. When the high representative of the Quendi traveled she usually did so in style aboard private jets, hotelicopters, luxury yachts, limousines and other luxurious means of transport. Being flown around in a air supremacy fighter was not something she had done before or wanted to.
As the fighter took of, escorted by a dozen other standard Katana's the princess however had to admire the speed at which she moved. Even her MR-SST didn't move as fast as the QU-9 Katana and in no time she entered Sremski Okrug aerospace requesting landing permit. Hopefully the communists had good enough manners not to try to style her as comrade or in any other manner imply that every low life skum in the world was an equal of hers. That was what Aleera didn't like about communism. Their economic policies and even their lack of belief in the freedom of the individual was all things she could deal with as it was after all in the name of a quite admirable ideal. But obsessive equality was grosse for the blue blooded princess who was used to recognise only a select few men and women as her equals and superiors.
Sutjeska International Airport - Outskirts of Belgrade
The QU-9 Katana of the Quendi airforce had been spotted since it entered Sremsi air-space and had been designated a runway at the main international airport outside Belgrade. The airports air-traffic-controller gently guided the military aircraft down to the runway and the short taxi to the designated area in front of the awaiting Sremski delegation.
Branko Mikulic paced in front of the rest of the Sremski delegation, seeing how important this trial was for the future of the country and how the Quendi's opinion of the Sremski state was quite vital for the viability of the trial Branko, the new Sremski President saw it as his duty to meet the Princess in person and escort her to the trial.
