You are invited to a party

Postby Eeri » Sun Jul 26, 2009 12:11 pm

The quaint republic of Eeri woke up to sun after an evening of heavy storms. The course of the day stayed nice and sunny and the evening looked to be a pleasant one. The First Family, the Daichi Family had sat down to dinner, President Akitiro had piched his idea to his family. "I know it seems like everyone is doing a party."

"More like everyone is getting married." Atoli joked.

"Atoli. Well I think we should have some guests to better acquaint Eeri. Seeing as we just opened our Embassy center."

"Well you know me Pa, I'm all for it." Atoli said.

"Unless you would rather spend the night with Maria."

"Come on I like meeting foreign leaders. Unless you are trying to get rid of me."

"No honey. What do you think, Sakura?"

"I'm with Atoli on this. It's a wonderful idea."

"Okay."

Eeri invites you to a party,

The lovely country of Eeri has cordially invited you to join as a 7 P.M. in the Presidential Center. Please dress in appropriate attire. Live music, good food, new relations.

Thank you.

(OOC: You all may begin your arrival to the center)

To The Daichi Family of Eeri,

The Supreme Admiral of the Celtic Empire is greatly honored to be invited to this event. However, he wishes to inquire as to what "approptiate attire" denotes. Is the event White Tie, Black Tie, something less formal?

Her royal highness Empress cheng and her son, prince Ajjaran well be glad to attend the party, however, it should be noted Dragona ideas of "formal attire" are somewhat different to what most of the world would consider formal.

Prime Minister Ryan DeLaney enters the ballroom in a freakin' awsome tuxedo, it is very apparent that he is drunk and is here for shits and giggles, and well the occasional racially insensitive joke. He walks in swaying back and forth and asks if anyone want's to make jokes about the Dillians

Dressed in a black dinner suit and bow tie with a white shirt, Premier Chris B Chikin of the Federal Union of Barrettstia descended the steps to the main hall of the Presidential Centre. He was accompanied by Natalia Sevrov, secretary of finance, who was herself wearing a dark red evening dress, and two bodyguards wearing matching formal attire which, though not making them seem out of place, ensured they would not be mistaken for regular guests.

Accepting a glass of champagne from a waitress carrying a tray, Premier Chikin strode across the room to greet President Akitiro. Handing his glass to Natalia for a moment, he bowed slightly before offering his hand to his Eeri counterpart.

"Thank you very much for inviting us, Mr President. It's a pleasure to be here."

OOC: Come one guys, please make at least a little effort and stop posting dull one liners?

Concluding his greetings with President Akitiro, Premier Chikin accepted his drink back from Natalia. Leaving her to converse with the President, he went to meet the other guests. He spotted Prime Minister DeLaney conversing with an embarrassed looking Chancelloress Staleko. As he watched, she walked away towards the bar.

With one bodyguard following at a respectful distance, the Premier went over to join her. He found her leaning against the bar, studying the rows of coloured bottles and deciding what to order. As he approached she turned to look at him and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you," she said

"Nice to meet you too," Chikin replied in a friendly tone, "Chanceloress Staleko, isn't it?

Before Chikin could reply he found himself with a gun pointed at his face by the Rashutan Prime Minister. The next second he and the Chanceloress were on the floor beneath the bodyguard which had just tackled the pair of them. Above his head he heard gunshots. Craning his neck in their direction he saw his other bodyguard had dropped into a firing stance, shooting his pistol at the Prime Minister with impeccable aim.

People around the room started screaming and ducking for cover.
