The council was still in relative shock. The assassination of Josip Tito in the Greater Tezdrian although expected in a fascist state was still quite a shock. Sremski Media was playing old video clips from the President's speeches while opinion polls and interviews with the public showed complete support for an immediate military response, some even calling for the complete destruction and annexation of the Greater Tezdrian.

"We need to form an interim council. We can't vote on a new leader now, the country won't accept it" Field Marshall Konev said stating one of the first words of the meeting.
"I agree, a military council is the best way forward, considering the percentage of the people that want direct military intervention" another council member replied followed by various other similar statements by other council members. Josip Tito Jr then walked into the meeting.
"So we're all in agreement?" Tito asked?
"Yes sir. If you don't mind me asking why are you here?" Konev asked.
"I'm here to lead the council during it's time of war. The people need a strong leader that wishes to end this conflict and I shall pursue this goal" Tito stated bluntly
"Yes Sir" Konev said, several agreements followed as none wanted to argue with the son of the former President.
"I shall inform the people of our decision now." Tito said walking out the room.

Tito Jr walked on the balcony, the attention of the Sremski Media was focused on his every word.

"Comrades. I'm sure you've heard about the grave news of President Tito's death. The Fascists of the Greater Tezdrian invited President Tito to a diplomatic meeting during this meeting the President was captured and publicly executed for unknown crimes, the President did not beg or plead for his life. Instead I quote his last words.

"Fascism will continue to do what it always has, it will lead nations to destruction. I am merely no simple communist, in fact the term offends me. I'm a Titoist, the learnings of the failings of capitalism and communism have been learnt by some and those nations are truly free. This act won't go unpunished. The Sremski Military will wipe this country from existence and your precious bitch will die slowly and painfully in front of every Sremski citizen.

These words contain the last orders from President Tito and I intend to follow them to the letter. The Great Tezdrian shall be wiped off the face of this planet" Tito Jr stated after the roar of the crowd he walked back into the council room.

Sremski Naval Vessel "Tito" - Novi Sad

Admiral Koncar stood on the deck of the Sremski Naval flagship the SNS "Tito". The gigantic aircraft carrier was a hive of activity, ever since the assassination of Josip Tito the entire Sremski Military had prepared for direct military action against the Greater Tezdrian and every single military personal was working to avenge the death of their former leader.

Vice Admiral Jokic walked into the room, waving off several salutes from lower ranking officers he moved towards Admiral Koncar. "Sir. The reserve fleet has been fully mobilized, their itching to get into action it seems they've been training for this their entire lives sir." Jokic said
"Very well. Order the reserve fleet to move into position and commence Operation Drava" Koncar replied
"Of course. I'll report to my flagship now" Jokic stated giving the Admiral a short salute before leaving.

The Sremski Reserve Fleet was only activated in times of war, it consisted of former aircraft carriers, frigates, destroyers, corvettes and submarines that have yet to be disposed of or used as targets. Whilst waiting for destruction the ships are used for training current crew and reserve crew.

Ling browsed the transcripts of Tito II's speech. She thought it rather short and uninspiring. Annexation and assimilation of Sremski would be the most difficult task the Imperial Government had undertaken to date, but she thought she could make it work. "A war is always good for moral" she muttered absently. Backing by the GWO was virtually assured, backing by TIC and the Steel Pact was uncertain. No matter, the Union could hold it's own if need be. After all, what do super-men have to fear from Communists?

Vasily Zaytsev, the nation's new president, had led the communist Great Valencia through 5 wars, and was prepared to use the nation's new economic and military might to win even more. After being informed of the war against Greater Tezdrian, Vasily decided this would be the perfect moment to strike. Greater Tezdrian was a long-time enemy of Great Valencia, as we have fought before. Vasily called a meeting between himself and the minister of war, and would discuss options for war against Greater Tezdrian;
"Dimitri, what are our chances of winning this war?"
"Sir, I believe Great Valencia's military and economic might towers over our enemies, therefore we can use our soldiers and a victory is guaranteed"
"I think so too. I want you to dispatch a combat fleet just to make sure things don't go south before we get soldiers onto their borders"
"Da, sire. Is there anything else?"
"No, Dimitri, dismissed"
"Da."

Dimitri walked out of the massive underground office, and into the Ministry of War room, which was right next door. Vasily pondered, scratching his chin, if this was a wise move. Surely Great Valencia would win, because Greater Tezdrian is half of the population, which means a smaller, weaker military, and the support of another nation with well over 1 billion people. The military had the largest budget of the GDP, with well over 4 trillion dollars going into it. This would be the nation's first war as a democracy, and the economic power of capitalism would be tested. Vasily decided this is a risk worth taking, and thought well upon his decision to back Sremski okrug.

Two hours later, Minsk Naval Base

The first, second and third fleets were being prepared to ship out, but it would take another 3 hours before they were ready. Minsk was just a few miles south of the capital city of Valencia, and just east of the massive military base that occupied Area91's former land. One of the largest parts of the fleet was stationed at Minsk, with nearly 965 ships at one time in the base, not to mention the other 2,900 in the nearby base to the west. Minsk was important to the nation, as it was in the Valencian peninsula, where the Valencian Capital was near. The first, second and third fleets were being prepared to dispatch to the shores of Greater Tezdrian.

Sremski Reserve Fleet - SNS "Titograd"

Vice Admiral Jokic made the final preparations to the Sremski Reserve Fleet, the part his reserve fleet would take in the upcoming battle meant that he had to push his crewmen to the limit.

The Reserve Fleet had moved into position just outside the Coral bay in between the two massive land masses in the Greater Tezdrian, the aircraft carriers buzzing full of activity. The SNS "Titograd" launched two E-2 hawkeyes to patrol the skies for enemy aircraft and naval vessels whilst the rest of the reserve fleet moved into defensive positions.

The idea was to law a smokescreen, the reserve fleet was aiming to trick the Greater Tezdrian Navy into launching it's first hand and deploying it's naval forces to counter the reserve fleet, the naval command in Sremski had decided that the Greater Tezdrian elite was too arrogant and would assume that the actual reserve fleet was the main offensive fleet.

Sremski Main Offensive Fleet - SNS "Tito"

Admiral Koncar had set up the position of the actual offensive fleet a few hundred kilometres from the Reserve Fleet. It's aircraft carriers and frigates preparing for the upcoming conflict and victory over Tezdrian. Koncar felt for Vice Admiral Jokic he had graduated from the naval academy with him and fought several crucial battles with the Vice Admiral over the years now it was quite possible that the Vice Admiral would fall in the line of duty and complete one of the most crucial victories in Sremski Naval history.
