Not if your monarch has power. Thats why the monarch in my system has 50% power, parliament and the prime minster have 40% and the rest goes to the people in true democracy.

Uhm...I was actually considering that...But with a much less bloody revolution.
As the Jbeili Empire is based on popular sovereignty and not divine right...If the "Parti Républicain Radical" (Which is the strongest anti-Monarchy party) ever achieves a majority in the senate and national assembly, and calls for a plebiscite for the formation of a republic, and the people agree...Well then...The Empire is constitutionally dead, and not even the army will stand with it
