The lack of an heir by now is starting to cause questions.

Step 2. Adopt.
Step 3. An 'accident' occurs to the current reigning monarchs.
Step 4. Out of the goodness of his heart, to ensure his young cousin/nephew/whatever reaches the age of majority and receives the very best education available, King Edward V appoints another cousin (namely Princess Sarah Naismith) as his regent.
Step 5. Regent increasing ties Castleclose with the Imperial Papal Empire and fills government with pro-English advisers, etc.
Step 6. Slow (and secret) assimilation of Castleclose into the Imperial Papal Empire.

Step 7. Closian Constitution. Lawful removal of the Royal Family and re-instate republic via plebiscite.

I have four royals [Tetrarchy I am], none of them are married [one of them vows never to do so]. No, I don't marry off kings/queens to princesses/princes.
