The 2nd Meeting of the JSF (OOC, with a littleICsprinkledin)

OOC: As we all know Itailian Maifias is on a hopefully brief hiatus away from the JSF leadership position and has left (though his logic escapes me ) myself along with Reformed Britannia in control. This meeting will act as both an OOC discussion and an IC mini-RP to work out future workings of the organization.

I of course will not change anything drastically but I see that many have dropped from activity lately and I plan to fix that.

IC: Tomas sat along at the empty table in the JSF main control room. A single light flickered overhead illuminating the room. It had not been long since he had been rescued from arrest by Laiho outside an Obamacainese hotel and when they arrived at the base they were met with a shocker. Lynch was leaving for a short time and had left him and the newcomer Adrian O'Rourke in charge of the organization during his absence.

Tomas had quickly called all the JSF members to assemble to speak of their future...

Princess Vivi stepped from the shadows into the flickering light and sat down in a chair, the bandanna secure over her lower face securely attached.

OOC: Welcome New Alabasta! Good to see someone new. Any thoughts on how to increase activity?

IC: Tomas glanced over at the new arrival and noticed the bandanna. It most certainly was not necessary inside the headquarters therefore it must be for some psychological reason that the Princess wore it. Perhaps the culture of their home country required such garments or perhaps she preferred to wear one. Tomas did not care to ask nor to say anything to the newcomer as he sat stoically watching the door for more entrants

Laiho crashed in with a bottle of questionable liquid even by Novan standards as he stumbled over two chairs and steadied himself on the main table, with his forehead.

Standing up, and wondering how he'd gotten here so quickly, he looked around to spy ANOTHER woman in his domain.

"eh, wassis?! a cooking club now?" Laiho didn't risk another step, and settled for planing himself firmly on the table instead, setting the liquid aside.

OOC: Welcome Nov! Any opening suggestions before I begin mine?

IC: If it wasn't for the seriousness of the situation Tomas might have laughed at the entrance of his teammate. "Come on Laiho. Now's not the time to get drunk. This is a period of transition and we need to be ready for anything. Now gather yourself quickly before anyone else sees you embarrassing yourself."

"I am beginning to question the reliability of this team, especially if the rest of you are like him". She gazed at the drunkard stumbling in.

1) Is this a conference for our characters or just an OOC discussion, but I see OOC in the title, and an rp in the OP so I'm just wondering because of that.

2) The JSF is dieing we need to fix that.

3) Well if this is an roleplay well what is the time period? I'm just wanting to know because my Invasion and all of the events surrounding it are bothering. (I also got knee surgery.

Mainly: I suggest reorganizing the JSF. Which evolves many different events. Including kicking out members who have never posted, adding more members, and possibly an constitution to the JSF.

Sheppard strode in his left prosthetic arm missing due to recent (forays). He was in full dress uniform. His saber, in its black sheath, was attached on a chain connected to his belt. Stryklans were often called to muster their "dress bests" as they were called. His sidearm, a .50 caliber revolver, was held in its tanker-style holster underneath his uniform. His chest was heavy with medals, and it seemed all Stryklans were a bunch of chest-puffers. His empty sleeve was pinned neatly to his side.
As Sheppard strode in, standing ramrod-straight, he noticed a newcomer. He still was drinking a lot, just like Laiho over there, but formalities were formalities.
As the woman with the odd garment on her head spoke up, Sheppard turned to address her. "Mister Laiho here may be a drunkard, but he hasn't faltered in combat. Ever. If you object to this outfit, the door is right here," Sheppard said, gesturing toward it.

"I am beginning to question the reliability of this team, especially if the rest of you are like him". She gazed at the drunkard stumbling in.

OOC: I'm the epic success guy
out of character, I'm the military brain, you need information on tactics and guns, that's me
I'm also the guy who calls out epic fail and godmod
Oh, and Laiho's only this much of a beast when he's drunk, and most alcohol is too weak for this Novan

Give him one word on a good mission and he sobers like a PRO


IC: "Eh, Tom, why isn't she making me a sammich? that's why she's here right?" he glared slightly at the smaller frame of the woman in the room, wondering where the aforementioned tasty snack was.

IC: Lopez walked into the room. He was in his last months in the JSF. The Communist Government had fell and a Republic formed. However his son and wife was still missing. He wanted the JSF's help to do so, he planned to quit after that. He wanted to retire to a good life. However he had to serve up to his expectations in the JSF and he planned to do so, a meeting was called to help the JSF. Help he would do?

"Enough of that Laiho, we need to talk about restructuring the group to make it more cohesive," Tomas began looking around the room. More people would come but he would start now. "I suggest some sort of ranking system to encourage activity."

Adrian O'Rourke strode into the room, his eyes casting a quick cursory glance over those assembled. He smirked to himself, and then leaned up against the wall nearest to the door. O'Rourke himself was an experienced soldier, having served overseas as a Corsaire, and was not easily impressed; furthermore, he preferred working alongside those of his own nationality as opposed to foreigners.

Looking at the man whom he'd beeen informed was 'co-leader' of this group, O'Rourke spoke, his thick Hibernian brogue cutting through the air.
"So, this is the JSF," he mused, a whimsical smile coming over his face. He pulled his H-Pattern helmet, modelled on the design of the pith helmets of old, down over his face and chuckled.
"Quite a congregation, indeed."

Lopez liked the idea of an ranking system, " Well that is a good idea. However though I request something that will be only part time and well me rarely being sent to the battle field. I love working for the JSF however though I got a son, and I can't afford to lose him. He can't afford to lose me either. I think it's a good time to announce my retirement from combat for the JSF. If there is an emergency I guess I can step in but I am for the most part down. I will still work for JSF but not on the battlefield. "

Vivi continued looked at the ceiling, tossing her knife up and down. "I say we respect his decision.... it would be unfortunate to have someone lose a father..... and being overly cautious could put the rest of us in danger....."

OOC: I believe an OOC ranking system should also be in place to promote a little more activity and to divide responsibilities

"You would be O'Rourke I believe," Tomas said, happy that someone had come to help him with the JSF handling. Obamcainese and Reformed Britannian relations had been well for quite a while since the alliance that was signed between Obamacain, Reformed Britannia, Bladia, and Quendi. Since then both sides had backed each other in numerous wars. Tomas however held them to no higher esteem than any other people even though one of his favorite teammates James Roberts had been from the Empire.

Lopez applauded the idea. " I think it is a good idea. It will honor the members of the JSF. People like attention and I think the badges are a great idea. As of my retirement from the battle field I need to announce a successor. It's my half-brother Viktor Pavlov. He was one of the men who was with me when I met you in combat in Western Cuba. The one that shot you in the leg....so I don't except you to be great buddies but he's loyal and I trust him to be my successor in the JSF. He's at the hotel currently right now where I am staying at if you want me to tell him to come down to the conference? "
