Reason for Change/Deletion (if applicable): (Be thorough) ___________Adding some insight on the Al-Swaleez War______________
Additions (use as many of these as necessary)
- August 12, 1999: [Minnysota] Although the nation remains quite developed following the withdrawal of Soviet forces not long ago, a minority of the Islamic population attempts to overthrow the white majority and restore the lands to the natives. Three separate groups attempt to fulfill this task: Al Swaleez, Al Moussa, and the Taliban. Their offensive begins with an attack on the capital city, Belmont, which kills over one hundred. The Republic of Paix responds with a declaration of war on Al Swaleez, since they are the largest of the three groups.
- November 21, 1999: [Minnysota] After two months of fighting, three senior Al Moussa officials are killed along with seven militants along the Persian border. Immediately following this, special forces manage to infiltrate the Taliban and leak the positions of the high command. Utilizing this information, drone and jet strikes manage to cripple the Taliban over the course of a week.
- January 3, 2000: [Minnysota] The first significant confrontation of the Al Swaleez War occurs just thirty miles outside of Belmont. A combined force of Al Swaleez and Al Moussa forces converge on developed boroughs of the city in armed trucks. However, the battle ends after three days with only three civilian casualties. Almost the entire attacking force is repelled. Fourteen Paixan soldiers were killed in the battle, compared to two hundred thirty-three militants and seventeen trucks.
- December 31, 2000: [Minnysota] On New Year's Eve, the Paixan Army launches a devastating attack on the Taliban just north of Minneapolis. The mountains that the Taliban were hiding in no longer prove safe as helicopters, jets, and drones continually reveal their positions or force them out of hiding via precision strikes. The Paixan Army moves in and chases the Taliban north. An army from Pakistan moves in from the north as well and encircles the Taliban forces. Within three days, the Taliban officially surrenders, having suffered over three thousand casualties over December and January.
- April 23, 2002: [Minnysota] After a two year cool down in fighting, Al Moussa launches an offensive directed at Dayton. The attack is repelled with significant damage to the local highway, although little Paixan casualties are encountered. The future president of the Republic becomes a war hero after his squad is destroyed and he manages to hold off an approaching force of thirty plus men on his own. The battle ends with over six hundred militants dead and thousands more injured/captured, and only thirty-four Republican soldiers dead with two hundred injured. Following this attack, a drone strike eliminates the entirety of the Al Moussa leadership, ending the war against the faction by default as remaining militants fleet to Persia.
- August 1, 2002: [Minnysota] Following the defeat of Al Moussa, Al Swaleez begins to prepare for an offensive on Belmont once more, this time via infiltration. However, the government suspects that a new offensive is in the making after various recon missions. Special forces manage to infiltrate the groups and learn of the offensive, leaking those who will infiltrate the city. These men are arrested and the compounds that Al Swaleez personnel are hiding in are bombed by the new AQ-39B Clarion UCAV. Following this attack, Al Swaleez surrenders and agrees to leave the country.
- August 17, 2002: [Minnysota] The Al Swaleez, or Insurgent, War ends with a total Paixan victory. three hundred forty Paixan soldiers are killed in combat, while well over six thousand militants are reported dead by the Paixian government. Al Moussa and the Taliban are completely destroyed by the fighting, with their little remaining followers retreating to other nations, and Al Swaleez publicly leaves the nation. The war becomes the first military victory for the Republic of Paix.
