I guess I should first apologize. Clearly I have misjudged Tecknoko. I thought that I was in fact communicated with someone rmotely capable of making any decisions or remotely deservant of my respect. I see now that I am adressing not a sovereign and proud state but a province. I must therefore make the following very clear. At first I apologize for my rude words. Popular Creed 141 of 1498 has made it very clear that the People and Senate can and shall accept slavery where the slave desires slavery. As such we shall not further attempt to persuade Tecknoko to be a sovereign state or its people to be free men and woman. We must of course also insist that the Nation and State of Tecknoko, inferior as it has choosen to be, does not address the representatives of the People and Senate as if we could ever be equals.

OOC: My stance on ARIES remains unchanged. The People and Senate could never sign the charter in its current form. That if need be I can offer both financial and military aid.

The Emporium asks that what is the stance of the People and the Senate on ARIES then?

OOC: I hadn't been active lately. Sorry.

- All Signatories will pledge to come to the aid of beleaguered nations that are under threat from aggressive nations.
- All Signatories will pledge not to take aggressive actions against other Signatory nations
- All signatories are to allow trade between signatory nations
- Aries will have no formal governing council or body
- All signatories pledge to come to the defence of other Signatory countries and alliances.

Of the above mentioned five articles of the charter of the ARIES Pact only one is not in direct violation with the Constitution of La Imperium Populi and Quendi Common Law.

The problem with article 1 is that the People and Senate cannot promise to defend any nation that just happen to have signed some charter. The reason for this stance we consider obvious but to summarize our opposition we fear that this will make us obliged to defend sworn enemies of the People and Senate (slave states, fascists and nazists, agressive communists etc.)

The problem with article 2 is basically just an elaboration on the other issue. The People and Senate shall not refrain from using any means at our disposal against the countless monstrous regimes of this world. Once again we of course refer to slave states etc.

The problem with article 3, while seemingly innocent enough, is actually the worst. First of all its vagueness is problematic. We choose to interpret the article as opposition to trade tarrifs etc. on fellow signatories of the ARIES Pact. With that interpretation the article is a groose infringment on the People and Senate's right to define its economic and trade policy as a sovereign state.

Article 5 is a problem for the same reasons that Article 1 and 2 is it. The People and Senate by signing this charter would be obliged to come to the aid of states we may have nothing but contempt towards.

These are the reasons why the People and Senate shall not sign the ARIES Charter. The very thought of our state being obliged to defend and trade with states that we ourselves have not approved of is an outrageous request that we shall under no circumstances concede to.

However, the plot isn't going anywhere I'm afraid.
