Today battle Group Gamma was dispatched from the Ruivan Empire to secure the Beaches of our allies and to try to ward off any invasion from the sea. further more two Ruivan Mobile Sea bases have been dispatched to the area these heavily armored sea bases will further augment allied and ruivan assets in the area.

Sea Base:

Each base is equipped with a Magnetron Particle Accelerator Rail Gun capable of slicing through even the heaviest of armored ships with ease. dozens of missiles tubes allow it to unleash volley of hundreds of torpedoes and when not submerged it can fire both Trident 116-RU conventional ballistic missiles but if need be can be equipped with nuclear assets as well. also when not submerged it is equipped with 18 Broadside Cannons and multiple AA cannons, Patriot missiles, and a small emp array.

Word from Latnya quickly spread through the nation. An invasion of Solaria by foreign powers? They would be fools to attempt such an attack. The northern peninsula was a heavily fortified mess since the revolution. The borders to the west with Southern Solaria were an all but impenetrable wall, and coastline defenses had been erected since the threat of an Orbisian takeover had become prominent. The city of Orange, now a nuclear wasteland, was one of the few blind spots in the defenses, although it was surrounded by a series of minefields, trenches, and artillery battery locations that had been set up during the siege of the city. Furthermore, news of the nuclear explosion in the city hadn't reached outside the nation; international hatred was not a particular goal of the Emperor and Shogun.

What had quickly become starkly obvious was that Solaria was deeply in need of allies. It had no alliance; no best friends; no divine protector. But Solaria would pull through, like it always had. Unlike weaker nations, Northern Solaria would not be colonized.

Not ever.

The Papal Satellite Grid buzzed, transmitting a constant stream of images from all over the globe to NPSC headquarters, located in Nova Rome. Files were sorted first by computer; anything that resembled a pattern of troop movement within or near belligerent nations was sent to be immediately analyzed by Seraphim agents. Areas of interest, such as the geographical boundaries of belligerent nations, were relayed automatically.

All other data was saved to a tremendous database, containing hundreds of terabytes of information, to be looked at slowly and methodically by a relatively small team of analysts when compared to the task at hand. In military parlance, the data was sent to Limbo.

Almost immediately enemy troop movements-at least in daylight-were isolated. The Osthian and Technokoan fleets were isolated on approach, and a combination of simple vector problems and now-important backlog Limbo data determined their points of origin to be within the two nations' territory.

As were the innumerable forces moving to fortify Chechaka.

Statistical analysis showed that an attack upon Chechaka would be essentially suicidal, and that the non-NPS Imperialistic assault, while almost certain to fail, would damage defenses enough to create an opening.

In the meantime, the North Papal States could damage the nations of the Defense individually. By attacking an entrenched enemy, Northern Solaria, both Osthia and Technoko were at a disadvantage. Through greater numbers and better economies, it was practically certain that they would eventually be successful in their war. But their fleets were already attacking the Solarians on one side, and could hardly resist a flanking maneuver from the other that would surround them.

Thus the Aer Fleet, (composed of combat choppers and fighter-bombers, as well as a few refueling craft) but not the Transport Fleet (composed of Chinook knockoffs) was prepped to strike from behind. The readied to fly under cover of darkness to avoid satellite detection, immune to the threat of radar satellites due to their relatively small size, and flying in loose formation to confuse any analyst reading an infrared satellite. Their targets were the Osthian and Technokoan fleets assaulting Solaria, but they would only move to attack after engagement had begun.

Depending on the damage dealt to Solarian defenses, the assault would either end there, or the attack would continue inland. In the worst case scenario tremendous damage would be dealt to the armed forces of two belligerents. In best case, all three nations would be removed from the war. There was no foreseeable downside, aside from the obviously large cost of fuel.

Vortiaganica has made official their intent to increase presence in the region.

The platoon currently on the island is expecting airdrops of vital supplies in case the worst does happen, and Vortiaganica has announced that they plan to try and make available enough supply drops to feed the civilian population for a while.

Ammunition and some mail from home will also be dropped for the current platoon, which forms the entirity of the Vortiaganic-Chechakan Taskforce.

The air drops will most likely be extremely accurate, as the platoon is equipped and ready to assist in pinpoint accurate paradrops.

All airdrops will have to be made within the range of the village that the platoon is currently staying in though, and will have to be moved out to other villages if a full siege takes place.

If the civilian craft making the drops are damaged, retaliation will be fierce.

OOC: I still could have known of the attack, ever heard of intelligence divisions. So it is possible I knew, at least slightly of some boats moving towards him and I made assumptions that they where you. But I don't even care about this RP, it got ruined by some people.

OOC: MT is not what could or might be built, but what is built. Railguns and sea bases are exactly in the realm of PMT, as they are most likely possible, but not used by any modern nation.

(OOC: What? You got that definition a little...wrong. If my troops decide to use a fusion of a spoon and a drill as a weapon, it's certainly never been built, but it's not PMT.

Modern tech is essentially what CAN be built. Post-modern tech is what is being built. For example, the U.S. Navy is finalizing research on railguns. But the U.S. currently has no actual railguns outside of the laboratory.

Now if you wanted to be particularly insane, you COULD mount a prototype railgun on one of your ships and still be MT. But since it's still in development it would be prohibitively expensive, take up a tremendous amount of space, and be able to fire like, once, before needing to recharge. And recharge would likely take days. Also, for something that stretches the boundaries like that, it'd probably be nice to offer a source, like a link to a Wikipedia page explaining how the technology is currently in the prototype stage.

In any case. A vote is superfluous and would just take up space. Its pretty clear that the majority of people want an MT war, and those using PMT didn't do it because they wanted to play PMT, but only because they are unsure of the differences. So can we get on with this?)

They may be in concept, but to use one as-is would be ludicrous.

(OOC: One Last OOC Post: Ok, now, there has been a feasible and most likely possible concept called The Joint Mobile Offshore Base, it was considered by the US back in Desert Storm, it is quite Feasible, but it'd cost quite a bit.)

As the Chinooks Reach the area, The M1 Abram tanks are dropped off onto the beach, manned by the Elite Tankers of the Corps.

The other Two Chinooks make an ascent to a very high altitude as they reach the area, and the Rangers make a jump from there. The Sky is filled with Parachutes, and the 100 Rangers Set up a base camp in the jungle just off of the beach, they set up a Machine Gun Emplacement, a trench-like Defensive emplacement, but instead armed with an experimental Armor-Peircing Round with a Diamond Tip. a large crate is dropped from one of the chinooks, right near the Rangers. Above a group of F-35s, specially Modified with Experimental ECMs and Experimental Weaponry, perform thermal scans of the area as they fly by and then break off, heading back to base.
