"I intent on leaving the three men of the honour guard outside at the gate. The other team of three will be there to replace them while the other's escort them just for the ceremony. There can be a patrol on the road if required but we are ceiling off the road from Kleindorp and checking all traffic going on and out."

"Well, if I have three men constantly patrolling the village I am sure they would be able to spot any major developments of vehicles or aircraft. But we wont be able to take up all the guard locations and road checks."

"That's what we will do from Kleindorp. We are going to block the road from that village leading up to here and install guards just outside the local tavern there, across from the town hall where the road from here connects onto Hoofstraat,the local main street, and to the regional road. And there will be patrols up the road from Kleindorp to Heuvel a couple of times a day. The rest will be under your control."

(OOC: If only... Well let's put it this way: Heuvel is the small village where you are now. It's basically shaped like a bowl with fields leading up to the mountains in one area and just a small village square where almost all the houses are located on. Kleindorp on the other hand is down in the valley on the road that we have used several times. The road leads to a T-junction where there is the local tavern and the local village hall. If one would come down from Heuvel one could go to the left or the right. The right would lead you all the way down to the coast and the left would take you into the village that is strewn out along a street. Kleindorp is not so important as not much happens there yet. )

IC: "You could use the mountains overlooking the house. They are relatively easy to access and you would have a good view over the village, the house and the road." The Major said.

"That might be less of a problem then you think. Surely you can buy supplies from the locals ? And when necessary ask us to bring supplies to you that you have ordered ?"

"Well, what we would prefer to do is rations which could last from two to three days at a time. We may buy locally if really needed..."

"We do not want to become too much of a nuisance, if your forces cannot also supply us it will not be hard for myself to call in for some Rations drop via planes, probably a C-130."

"Don't worry. We'll arrange that. We are well paid enough to having to eat at the tavern for a couple of days. In that moment we can arrange having a constant supply of rations send your way..." the Major put his hand on the ledge, clearly feeling more a bit more relaxed.

"Do not go that mad on it, we will simply cook it at the H.Q. and deliver enough so that we wont have to deliver rations for three or two more days."

"Captain..." The Major said. The Captain appeared "Can you do me a favour and check with divisional headquarters whether they can supply some 200 more men with daily rations ?"

"Sir !"The Captain saluted and off he went. "It shouldn't be a problem. You're here.. fighting in our country... and an army marches on it's stomach"." The Major said.

"That's exactly why. Because you never know when there will be need to be more forces brought in.." The Major replied. "Should your rations contain cigarettes, like our own ? You can barter them if you don't smoke."

"Smoking isn't permitted within the Globexian National Forces, alcohol however is. We've had too many past problems with smoking soldiers, especially in long term wars..." answered Andrews.

"I have said that too to one of the quartermasters a while back. But .. he told me that the Ministry will have none of it. They even still put the small can of rice wine in it while I still think that both should be banned." The Major shrugged. "Civil servants... don't know much about how an army should function. They still feel that supplying everyone with the same pack of cigarettes and the same can of rice wine promotes equality."

"Just don't tell the Captain." The Major said. "If you think I am strict.. meet the Captain. Well. there is a movement under some of the senior officers in banning alcohol and tobacco in the Army... but it will probably take some time before it has been effectively banned."
