Describe your nation in a paragraph or two: Formed from the German Colony of West Africa after WWI as a means of ensuring the survival of the German Monarchy. Developed slowly until getting a major influx of American scientists and industrialists during the Great Depression. (Invited with the promise of payment in Minerals...Namibia/West Africa has LOTS... in exchange for building a new nation.). Dreieinig Reichstaat formed in 1937 as a tripartite integrated government, giving full rights to the local natives. This was done on advice of the scientist who would become the first Technocrat Prime.

Emphasis was placed on developing industrial, educational, and other infrastructure. Military was put on the sidelines. The nation became more and more industrialized as time went on, eventually becoming a technological powerhouse, limited mostly by it's comparitively small population.

(a paragraph or two should do it) [this matters BIG TIME]: Want to RP a completely different nation in a different timespan and posessing a different geography that for once isn't a self-sustaining industrial and military superpower and that is more influenced by the outside world and all the foreign efforts of other nations, as well as having a completely different culture which I incidentally know a lot from the inside.

Located in the northern portion of the South American continent and named after its liberator, the 200 year-old nation of Santander is a nation posessing ample mineral and hydrographic resources but also a harsh geography in the form of ample mountain ranges from the Andes and a portion of the Amazon forest which means that large portions of the country are only barely accessible. Populated mostly by Mestizos with a largely catholic upbringing, the nation has been conservative for most of its history, something that is reflected in its centralist right-wing form of government, the large role of the church in the life of the average citizen as well as the protectionist system of economy that more often than not proves damaging to the economy of the nation.
Having bordered Mexicania for the better part of a century, the relation was cut short by Amerikanian intervention with the acquisition of Panama. While the Darien rainforest prevented much trade from getting across, the North American action close to their territory has made Santanderians untrustful of Amerika. However, being conservatives themselves, communism and the USSR in general are also demonized.

I want to come forward at this point and firmly state that the USR is by no means the USSR. In the USSR there was at least some semblance of freedom and civility, in the USR we are Eurasia from 1984.
