The US 7th fleet arrived. But when the ships began their exercise, in a surprise, instead of firing the live rounds in the other direction, observers saw half the fleet attack and obliterate the other half. The stars and stripes were yanked down on the attacking ships, and the flag was tossed over board and replaced with the flag of the Confederacy. The ships then seized the survivors of the damaged and sinking warships, placing them in the brigg.
The small confederate then headed out of the area to attack the cities of the United States as the sailors chanted "death to America. Long live the Confederacy".

The shocked Admiral of the American fleet found himself looking into barrel of gun from one the mutinous crew members. He was forced into the brigg with the other American loyalist. The new leader declared the remaining ships to be the property of the Southern Alliance, a group of states that had just seceded because they hated John Marshall.
