Sleigh, sleigh, sleigh bells. They are like music to our ears, and they ring and clang and sing and clang and ring and ding and sing and clang and sing. We hear them all the time. It's in our heads and it comes in one ear and goes out the next and continues like that forever. We are happy - happy - happy - happy! Happy that we have the music! Happy that we have the big and tall planks of metal that give us shelter.
We're happy that we have the big causeway bridges made of large steel blocks that connect like little pieces together for us.
We're happy that we have the long deep chasms that are hot to the touch when we walk over the bridges and put our waxy plastic hands over them.
We're happy that we have the ramps that let us get off the ship when we need to bring friends aboard.
Everybody loves friends. Everybody needs friends. We all need friends. Terry is far away, and there's not that many friends for us. Just a few. Like Nikolas. Nikolas is a big ship - big ship. Nikolas is made of alot of things - like love and rainbows and sunshine and steel and metal and big wires that run loooooooooooooooong distances through the very, very, very big holes that let big big big plates run. Nikolas is a big happy ship with a big smile on his face that people can see from their planets when he's in space! He's this big, smiling, happy wide eyed man with a mouth with no lips and a nose caved in with a great grin.
We've never seen anyone smile as bright and big as Nikolas! And Nikolas' body is a big long set of arms that are all made of metal and they are all put together into a big sliding, swirling shape at the end with a whole bunch of young adults just sitting there with big, big smiles. They all look like Nikolas, right down to the eyes, all playing pretend! We made them play pretend.
Everyone wants to be like Nikolas. And on the front of Nikolas we have lots and lots of spots where the eyes are full of little, tiny wholes and big long metal wormy things are coming out of them and swirling all over and looooooots of black tar is coming from his nostrils and his teeth. It looks really yucky sometimes! Sometimes we look at Nikolas' big face and look at the big blue swirls around his hole-eyes that have lots of shining lights and flashing beeps and things.
You can see Nikolas' eyes from a million miles away!
A friend helped us make Nikolas. A good friend came to Terry and said that he could make a big ship for a lot of fun, and he said that there was going to be a lot of happiness in the universe. Spread Christmas Cheer! We toys are good at Christmas cheer! So we did what all Toys do - prepare for Christmas cheer!
You don't see us doing it. We do it in the dark corners, away from the light, always watching you to make sure that you don't catch on, oh no! When you see that black shape in the corner of your eye or when you see it look like we're looking back at you in the dark, that's because we are! We are! We watch you! And we are careful! Because we want to make it a surprise!
Sometimes you sleep and we play with your kids. And we make them a part of the Christmas planning too. Sometimes we take the little arms and legs and chop them up and put them in metal stew and let them grind the bones into dust and make snow out of it. And the little eyes and the cheeks and the little soft flesh we turn candles and we wear the skin like coats. It makes us feel good. It makes everything feel good. It doesn't matter to young adults! They can pop out as many as they want!
But for us toys, kids are important. We need kids. We love kids. They are warm to us because we live inside their bellies like when they live inside the bellies of their mummies. And we like wearing kid hats - sometimes the paint makes it hard to tie the hat to our heads, and their heads are reaaaally heavy!
I remember one-time Buddy put a kid on his head and then he was still crying! No kids are sad with toys except for bad kids! So he punished the bad kid like how the toys punished bad toys - we made other toys take them apart, but this was a kid. But Buddy didn't want to waste a kid, so he gave the bad kid's head to another kid and then he said 'Eat it'! It was soooooo funny! The boy was crying and crying and crying and crying and crying and then Buddy got impatient and said 'Let's do it together.' So Buddy took the bad kid's head and shoved it into the kid's mouth and shoved and shoved and shoved and shoved until the lips ripped apart and red paint was everywhere.
And then Buddy said 'I can't see!' Silly Buddy! He kept shoving and shoving and shoving and then the teeth got caught so he tore it out and then kept shoving and shoving the head into the mouth before the little pieces of the bad kid's head was there. Buddy is number one frugal toy!
But most kids are great. They're great! And because of that, we want to pay them back!
Nikolas already has alot of kids tied to the front of his face with black tar coming out of their eyes and ears, so it's time for us to make them come on a journey too. Oh look, another planet! It's time to invite them for a journey.
Come on, kids - we'll say - let's go on a journey! It'll be a magical place, and we'll put you at the front so you can see it all! But we don't have lots of room, so we'll have to get rid of your body! It's okay - us toys don't need bodies - so you don't need to too! We'll give them back later, we promise.
Let's go and spread Christmas cheer! Get the snow machines ready!
