Vice-Chancellor Telmari was in The Chancellor's Seat, as Chancellor Hydracis was busy with a Meeting to try and start a new Alliance for protection against The Byzantine Empire, which was a threat to The Republic. The Senate hall it self was the size of a Large City on a few Minor worlds, with over 4,780 Senators and riseing. Many were from Major and Minor worlds and Corporations from around The Republic.

Today was to be a day to Change things for the Republic.

One of the Floating Senate Seats moved to the Dais, this one being that of Senator Vas Dortal, Senator from Astral-Tech. Talmari knew that he was mad at something, most likely the taxes being levied on the Southern Trade Routes.

But what he was about to say would change the fate of not only The Republic, but of The Beta Quadrant, the Powder Keg of The Milky Way. "Senators of The Republic!" Vas started, "I come Before you to declare that a Vile Crime has been done. a Cargoship, Carrying Droids for The Planet of Zando-Caliphas, has Been attacked!" This caused many to be shocked as while Zando-Caliphas was not part of the Republic, it was known to crack down on Pirates so hard that The Sector was 100% Pirate Free.

But what Vas said next made the Whole Senate go into a uproar.

"The Ship, named The Ra-Gaul, was attacked by one COLONIAL Battlestar!" Soon Yelling was takeing place in The Senate, and The most Shocked of all was Talmari. Soon The HoloNet started reporting about the Attack.

CARGOSHIP ATTACKED BY COLONIALS!

SENATE HALL, NOVA HYPERBORIA: Today, Senator Vas Dortal declared that a Colonial Battlestar of The United Colonies of Kobol had attacked a Cargoship Carring Droids for the Markets of Zando-Caliphas. "This Attack is a Crime against The Republic!" Vas stated, "we Demand Justice!" Astral-Tech has commented on this also.

"We are Sadden by The Loss of life on The Ra-Gaul." Astral-Tech CEO, Marquis Sakura Shingigami, said in a Press Relesse. The Defense Forces of Zando-Caliphas said their Sensors did detect the attack. "By The Time we got there, The Ship was already Destroyed." Commander Fursi Galdor of The Zando-Caliphas Defense Fleet said, "The only thing that could blast a ship apart like that had to be a Captial Ship."

The Ra-Gaul was a Lucrehulk-class LH-3210 cargo freighter, armed with defensive weapons. the ZCDF did detect a Ion Trail heading for Colonial Space. More Updates as this News Story Continues.

It is not with any saddened hearts that we have heard of the loss of your droid ship. It is with great joy and praise that we offer to those who have committed this great move towards justice. As much as the United Colonies of Kobol would like to take credit for this, however we can not.

Unfortunately, we were not aware of your nation trading in illegal goods in that sector of space, and if we were, we would have not gone for one lone ship in the middle of no where. Colonial procedures dictate that we follow the vessel to it’s source, or buyer, and raised the installations to the ground. After the mission objective is completed we would have been forced to re-educate the populace on the dangers of AI, and possibly enact the Mathias Doctrine, assuming the buyer was compatible to be uplifted into the human species.

Assuming an unwilling populace, the Anti-Cylon act authorizes any and all means to dealing with Artificial Intelligence collaborators.

Picon Command understands your willingness to frame the United Colonies of Kobol for such actions. Especially in light of the fact that it was by our council that the Galactic Empire, in it’s wisdom, denied you entrance to our alliance no less than three times, until you reform your nation by the Treaty of Caprica, which you ratified and immediately afterwards violated.

However, you do not need to frame us for the destruction of your droid vessels. Please forward us a listing of coordinates of all your droid factories, ships, supply lines, and buyers, and the United Colonies will deal with your illicit goods, through the usual means.

Please next time communicate with ND and/or myself about a skirmish, battle or war, and we will be willing to discuss the plot with you. The Republic was more to say, Very angered at the more Terroristic Demands of The UCK. In fact, many Droids rights Groups started Protesting against The Colonies, chanting "Caprica is Vong!" proclaiming that The UCK was more like The Yuuzhan Vong being anti-droid. The Senate took even Harder Action, declareing that All Colonial Ships were Banned from Republic Space and a Total Embargo on all Colonial things.

Many were talking of doing a Starfighter strike on The UCK's Major worlds, but the Senate and The Military were agreed on useing Diplomacy first before going into a All Out war. The Senate Voted to declare the Treaty of Caprica void from the list of Treaties, ending that idea of getting rid of The Droids of the Republic. The Senate soon was planning on sending a List of Demands to The UCK Government.

In The Southern Frontier, All Military Forces in the South were on Full Alert in cause Diplomacy failed. Fighter Patrols were more common in The Republic's Beta Quadrant Territories now and more Battle Droids were being sent to The South just to show The UCK The Republic was NOT backing down.

Many Hoped diplomacy would work.

If anyone in the United Colonies cared, even in the slightest bit, it was impossible to tell. There was no presidental address about this situation, no meeting of the Quorum, and aside from the already heavy military installations around anything important, nothing seemed to change. It was almost as if The Thirteen Colonies of Kobol, her auspices, territories, and her allies just didn't care.

(Steppe please read the OOC message in the first response I've made. I don't even have this thread subscribed, and only came upon this cause of MC. This war is not going to happen now, since I have other military and diplomatic engagements that won't follow your usual pattern of one line for a battle response. Followed quickly by a three week lack in posts once you start to lose, to end in ignore. It's your usual pattern, one that you have never shown that you have broken as of yet. Until such time, as each battle post you make consists of at least 4 paragraphs (Meaning two or more sentences per paragraph) as well as the ability to stick it out in a war even if you are losing. New Dornalia and I, along with our friends, allies and acquaintances, will not be involved in this. This is my last post in this thread, and all further actions past this point are hereby ignored.
