CAPITERN? I've never heard of it but I'll scope it out.

Upon looking into it, CAPITERN is definately being called out by a Communist Alliance. Thats all that has happened. At this point we should probably just watch and wait before we throw ourselves in.

Not really, it was snuffed out early on. It seems that Nations hate getting in to large scale war because keeping tabs on 15 to 30 Nations actions and movements is nearly impossible not to mention communication becomes very difficult with several nations.

I had read the charter and there is no articles relating to the issue of under what circumstances a nation is classified as a provisional member. So I guess I can only ask. *shrugs*

Crontor, since you're the awesome one around here, I want you to draft up a non-aggression pact between us and the Conglomerate. Don't want them sticking their noses in when we're at war.

All Pact members are henceforth advised to pull out of any conflicts that they are currently involved in. Such a lull is not in my power to order as it would violate our rules on National Soverignty, but I strongly reccomend that you do as I say. Deputy founder, and all that jazz.

New members and provisionals, any emergency donations to either the coffers or the UPF are welcome.

Trade and economics are all well and good, but it's time to take some direct action against the communist threat. Let this be our message to the world, and let no-one ignore it.

Hail to the Pact? I understand you're doing what you have to, and you're Deputy Founder (so I should really shut my mouth ), but I'd get a better of idea of who the threat is, how strong they are, how the Cong is going to react, and what the members think, before you charge head first into battle. Communists are beaten through intelligence, which they lack, not through guns, which is the one thing they don't lack.

EDIT: That being said, you're Deputy Founder, so chain o' command and all that, the Pact will follow your decision (and NL's, obviously). I just advise caution before charging into a massive clusterfuck.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that, IRL, communism is best dealt with with brains, not brawn. But this is NS. War is the only thing that even attracts people's attentions, hehe. Besides, a lot of members have been spoiling for a fight lately, so why not give them one?

We hope that you see the benefits of such a treaty, as unecessary wars, fought for unecessary reasons, leave neither of us gaining anything worth the losses undertaken. The terms of the treaty would be as follows, but we are open to commentary and compromise:

1). All nations, whether provisional or full, of both the Steel Pact and the Conglomerate, are to henceforth cease any hostilities that as of now, may be present.

2). War is not to be declared on a member of both parties so long as that nation in question is still aligned with that party. To clarify, no Steel Pact nation is allowed, by this treaty, to enter into a state of war with a member nation of the Conglomerate, and vice versa.

3). Also in accordance with this treaty, no nation is to undertake acts of piracy against another nations shipping, or fund acts of terrorism. This goes for all nations in both alliances

We hope that you find the terms of the treaty acceptable, and we eagerly await your response.

The cong don't work like that. You should have known that they consider "non-agression pacts" as a sign of weakness. They will always do the following:

~Get pissed if you call them an alliance, because they are not
~If you offer non-agression or peace talks, because it shows how weak you are
~Compare yourselfs to them, The Steel Pact doesn't hold a candle to the Cong in terms of strength
~A bunch of other stuff I am to lazy to list.

It was a really bad move calling The Steel Pact and The Cong "two powerful alliances".

The best way to stay safe from the Cong is to leave them alone.
