Not quite as epic as I tell it...

The origins of the War can be found early in the year 1497, when the small nation Sufforia began development of a biological weapons program, feeling threatened by her surrounding larger neighbors. To ensure that all was "above board" she announced it to the world. This turned out to be a big mistake. Several large powers, including the Federation of Allied Governments, The Empire of Ralkovia and the republic of Amazonian Beasts felt it nescessary to neuter the Sufforian project condemned it, threatening invasion if she did not give up her plans. The Steel Pact, a young alliance of Right - Wing nations, voted to defend the rights of Sufforia to develop any weapons she wished. Of course, they had ulterior motives, hoping to get Sufforia to join and thus swell their burgeoning members list. Bokaya sent a representative on behalf of the Pact to try to negotiate peace and disarm the situation. This failed, however, as Bokayans are naturally hot-headed and the ambassador, Bialar Taggart, had a rather peculiar idea of "negotiating for peace". To the untrained ear, it would sound as if he was threatening armed reprisal. Just as things started to look bad for Sufforia, the die was cast once and for all when Hayaba, with no declaration of intent, launched a nuclear strike on the Sufforian Capitol. The nations of the Steel Pact stood down, assuming that the other nations who were on Sufforias side would do the same. The business was concluded. Or was it..? Forgotten Americans, one of the nations that stood by Sufforia, took offence at the fact that such an obviously unstable nation could be in possession of atomic weapons and the capability to use them and, in due time, declared war on Hayaba. A coalition was formed for the invasion. Hayaba did not exactly have a clean track record. They had shown themselves to be unstable, untrustworthy and dangerous on a number of occasions. However, they were members of the Quendisphere, and that counted for something. The Quendi could not simply kick them out for their actions, as they would immeditely be pounced on by a coalition many times the size of the one already assembled. However, they could not simply force them to apologise, as this would make them lose face and appear divided. Hayaba cowered behind the protection of the mighty Quendisphere. The opposing coalition grew larger and larger, aided especially by the Steel Pact, seeing the coming war as yet another excuse to expand and absorb more territory. The more reluctant Pact states were quickly silenced by the two members who shouted the loudest: Natvia and Bokaya. War was inevitable.

The hugest confict in the span of human history; The Great Quendisphere War, was on...

Awesome, no?

...Except the war was never fought. To defend Hayaba, the Quendi surrendered control of the Quendisphere to Lyras. This plunged the whole Quendisphere into civil war, ending the conflict before it ever began...

The peace deal was brokered by Rumbria, a member of the Steel Pact. We are directly responsible for the downfall of the Quendisphere, and that's why the Quendi hates us.

Information About Your Nation You Want Us to Know, Or A Factbook: You have to understand just how important the Gontic religion is in keeping the Empire together. The two-thousand year history of Albaron began when the Kingdom of Albaron, ruled by Augustavus the First, joined with the Gontic Church to form the Holy Empire. Since then, many go0ntic nations have been brought into the Imperial fold, and all are protected. While many Constituent States are rivals with each other, for historic or political reasons, they all submit to the Emperor and Patriarch, both central figures to the Gontic religion, in their Holy Trinity (God, the Word, and the Sword). An attack on any of them is considered heretical and blasphemous, just as an attack on any Constituent State is considered an attack against God.
