"Probably" Carol said "It'll be a Topic Brought up at lunchtime though"

They Now entered the reserve, Most of it was Level Estuary Grass land, A Gentle Breeze Blew through the grasses, the river Bel Flowing Slowly towards the sea through the Grasslands, on the other side of the river Bel and up the side of the valley a Deciduous forest covered the ground.
Birds Called to each other and the sounds they made were mixed with the warbling of the Feather-Bellied Dragons as they Called to each other.

"Isn't it weird how people believe that The countryside is quiet?" Carol asked

"Ahem, let's see if I still remember how its done." He said to himself.

He suddenly started talking, but the sounds were those of a bird.

He looked around, a few birds landed on his arms.

He talked to them some more, and a few hoped over to Carol's shoulders.

"I can speak a variety of languages, its handy to be Multi-linquistic after all. I bet you just didn't think Avian would be one of them." Pondera said.

Carol Giggled as the Birds hopped onto her shoulder
"No I certainly didn't expect you to be able to speak Avian" She said "I Thought No-one Spoke it anymore, at least no-one who isn't a Bird"

"It behooves rulers to speak a variety of languages. I can speak the major languages of Nature." Pondera said.

He spoke more Avian, and the birds flew off.

"Sure is pretty out here." He said.

"Yeah, Its" Carol said Watching the Birds Fly away "I Think there's a Feather-Belly Over there"

She Pointed at a large pool of water, every so often something the size of a Jack Russel would skim across the water, trying to catch some food.

"They get a bit bigger but not by much, That's quite a Young one," Carol said "You can tell because its not fishing on the Main river"

She pointed over to the river where it was possible to make out slightly bigger Feather-Bellies skimming across the surface

Carol Sat Next to Pondera, then shifted closer to him and smiled
"I See you got my feather then" She said pointing at the feather in Pondera's hair

"I must have braided it in while asleep. You didn't have to pluck a feather for me though." He said.

Carol smiled and Blushed a bit
"Thank you" She said "After what Kalia said she had to do to get my Picture off you I felt I had to leave something more personal to do its job"

He looked at the feather.

"Anyone try using these to fletch an arrow?" Pondera asked.

"Once as far as we Know, Someone Used some of Gryphox's feathers, with his permission of course, to Fletch an arrow." Carol replied "The Arrow is said to have been used to vanquish the Changling king of the twelfth Dimension and is supposed to have Pierced the Beast's heart"

"Do you want to start heading back now and go the Long way or stay here a bit longer and go back the way we came?"

Privately, he wondered when the serious questions would begin, and what questions would be asked. The whole prospect was putting a knot in his stomach.

The Path they were taking took them close along the river. A Group of Proper Dragons flew overhead In conversation with each other. They were talking about someone or something called Spiridon.
"Not wanting to Jump the gun," Carol said "But I'm Fairly Confident that Both Mum and Dad Like you"
