Aabarville, Wilconson---- June 20th 1837

The sun rose as a booming cough was heard in the second floor hall. The source of the cough was King Peter I an aging King dying from Tuberculosis. Just two weeks ago he had been a distant cousin to King Anthony I who had been assassinated by peasants and Parliament took power into it's on hands and chose him as successor to the throne and ignored the fact he was terribly ill. He pulled out a piece of cloth from underneath his covers and coughed mucus and blood up. He sighed as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. He lay back as he weakly reached to his right table drawer he pulled out a journal and a dip pen. He dipped the pen in ink and began to write on the first page as he continued to cough.

I, King Peter I of Wilconson am lying on my deathbed as well as most of the Royal Family. I have been unable to accomplish anything with the two weeks I have been your King. As I am dying I shall relay all my powers to the Parliament appointed Minister of Interior, Joseph Clarke as a acting Prime Minister until mid-July, 1837 which is when my Doctors say I have left to live.

He coughed and as mucus hit the word 1837. He wiped it off and smeared the remaining part of the sentence horribly. He turned to page 3 and continued.

After Prince James I has ascended to the throne and recovered from his illness, I plead to him to hand over all powers to Parliament and become an acting Monarch to end remaining dissent from the rebellion and hopefully modernize and expand.

He placed the journal and dip pen in the drawer as he laid back and fell asleep.

Three hours later

"You have asked me, your Majesty?"

A tall brown haired man said as he crept into King Peter's Room as he was surprised by how weakened King Peter appeared and how much weight he had lost. He was Joseph Clarke Minister of Interior who had been appointed by Parliament to advise the Monarch.

"Yes, Joseph…"

King Peter began coughing into a cloth and removed the journal from the drawer; Clarke stepped back as the result. King Peter continues.

"I wish for you to present this in front of Parliament tomorrow."

Clarke reluctantly took the journal, read it and said.

"I shall your Majesty."

King Peter coughing again nearly collapsing from the result said.

"And make sure the message to the Latnyans’ (?) was sent."

" I shall your Majesty."

Clarke quickly saluted the King and left the room. He rushed into a study; he sat and pulled a dip pen. He nervously wrote into the smeared part of page one the date 1840 and nothing else. Not too greedy since it would seem likely King Peter would write that since the Prince was in a similar condition to his father.

The Empress waited in her grand palace room, her servant was late as he always was and this was the last straw and as the man walked in he tripped on what seemed to be thin air and spilled the drink the empress had requested and with rage she at once said, "Execute him at once!" the Empress shouted again and instantly a pair of smartly dressed men came running through the golden halls of the palace. "Wait, wait wait, i have this for her highness." the young man shouted clearly frightened by his sentence, one of the men snatched a letter out of the mans dirty hands, the letter was from the Kingdom of Wilconson and the message read.

To: Empress Selina Tyber of Latya
From: King Peter I of Wilconson
Subject: Treaty

Signed,

King Peter I of Wilconson

"Send a replay to there message at once, tell them we accept this treaty and are happy to sign it." said the young empress of only 21 as she got out of her chair and walked down the hall's to a grand park filled with cherry tree's and animals imported from Africa and abroad. The pair of men quickly commsioned someone to write a replay and after a hour of working on the letter, it was finally done.

To:King Peter I of Wilconso
From: Selina Tyber Of Latnya

It is with great pleasure we formmaly declare that we accept your offer and await further instructions of the making of it, we wish to inform you
also that we wish for a alliance between both of us, please write back with your replay.

Regards
Selina Tyber Empress of Latnya

It toke awhile for the writer to actually find the empress for here signature and after finally finding her he was ordered to send a secret message to the general of the 3rd army, and give him order's to push on the conquest of Africa. The empress after spending time with advisors and friends waited for her guest, King Aiden of the Kooluk Empire they were good friends and many in the court thought there was a chance that Aiden may become the Emperor-Consort , but only time would tell. The princess, sister of the empress waited to meet the officials from Castelade along with the other prominent members of the Latnyian court, this was strictly a vacation and diplomatic meeting so no expense was spared for there guests.

The Kooluk Empire was a vast state and with numerous resources, though so much land and prosperity came at a price. Even with its large population the empire had simply grown too large for its own good, it simply could effectively keep a watchful eye on all of its people. Border areas where often cut into sections and given to military governors to serve as an early warning system to the rest of the nation. Yet the most effective way to secure safety for its sovereign and people was to rely on smaller nations to be allies and somewhat of a shield against opposing forces. This did not mean the military though was in disuse, infact it was quite the opposite. The Kooluk imperial army was famed for its great strength when properly formed up, the empire always kept a large regular army on stand by and mostly located at the borders.

The nation was not distant from war, ever since the industrial revolution the Kooluk Empire had spent a vast majority of large farms and mills. Now having several years passed the large mills and farms where paying back with great revenues, the nation had become quite prosperous and rail roads as well as paved roads became the national pride. Yet with every great advancement into industry came with a price, many cities where plagued with soot and Smokey fog. The factories exploited the worker and a growing divide between the rich a poor was becoming more apparent. It seemed that every spot raw materials could be found it was being exploited, even in the high mountains. For this reason the Kooluk empire was a vast competitor on metal works. But this was the reason that the empires council had been gathered.

Graska

The city was a glorious testament to the empire great wealth and power. Statues of heroes and buildings made with elegant detail made up a good portion of the city. The government made several laws about building ant placing factories close to the city to prevent the nasty smoke that covered the others.

Aidan sat watching at the throne as several men at the table debated their points and argued. He gave of a soft sigh as he leaned against his arm rest in a some what awkward position. The men paid no notice to him and only continued to banter with each other, these men where some of the most notable robber barons of this century. six in all they numbered from metal works to plantation owners, what ever they where arguing about this time Aidan didn’t know and in truth he didn’t care. His mind drifted to the night before and the warmth of...

"Your majesty?" Reaver one of his industrial advisors spoke up from the table. Reaver was a skinny man and wore only the most fashionable clothing; he had become notorious for several scandals involving women from men of the court.

"Yes," Aidan spoke quickly sitting up straight and grinned trying unconvincingly to act as if he had been paying attention.

"We have agreed that education is of the utmost importance for the young little immigrants that so often drift into our nation." Cray spoke smoothly with his fox like eyes; he was speaking on the matter of immigrants a somewhat touchy subject.

"I agree we must put forth our best effort." Aidan spoke somewhat disconnected; he quickly got up from the throne and started walking towards the door near the back of the large throne room. His advisors watched with a look that said this had happened before. Aidan was just too much of a softy to become king; it was quite honestly not the best choice. He spent too much time and money on helping the poor and social good when he should be helping those who could repay him in gold. No doubt he was heading to the Nation of Latya to see the empress, it was a said he fancied her.

King Harald sat in his quarters reviewing General Löfgren's daily reports on the current world. Harald longed for the days as a prince when he roamed the Mediterranean lands which were always warm and sunny. It was time he took a vacation. "Perhaps Latya." said the king, who had just turned twenty. Harald had never visited Latya before, only neighboring Portugal. He thought that perhaps he could make create some diplomatic ties to the Empire to unite the Mediterranean with the snowy mountains of Scandinavia. The King got into the royal carriage and prepared to ride through the Rhineland with ten soldiers and a diplomat, Fredrich Alsvik.

City of Austresica-

His grand Excellency Antonio Berto strolled out of the theatre, he was surrounded by generals and officials. All of them were having a grand time, they discussed political matters and trivial matters alike. As Antonio met and greeted the onslught of people, middle and upper class alike, he recieved word from one of his more shady officials that some recent information had come to light. After reading he could tell the other powers had gotten brazen enough to try and expand into Africa, hopefully they would recieve hostility. However, he wouldn't have to worry about them, what he was truly worried about was his neighbor, Pannonia. The two nations had mostly given each other neutral stances, however with growing power and more industry arasing in each respective nation, things could become quite prosperous or quite deadly.

The city itself had become quite beautifal and had shown constant steps towards progress and change, it's prospering culture and powerful factories pumped out resources, the nation itself didn't have a large industry, all it's factories were in the cities, the towns and villages were still based off agriculture as they had been for centuries. Also seeking progress was it's Army and Navy, both were somewhat small but could still provide an adequate defence.

Constantinople, Osmanli Empire

The Sultan Mehmed looked upon his glorious cityscape of the Osmanli capital from his pristine balcony located in the Imperial Palace, Simple viewing was a pleasure for the autocrat of the Osmanli people, he often retreated from the bustle of the politicals in his Courts to this seemingly basic yet elegant balcony. Mehmed looked upon this city almost everyday yet he was still at a lack of breath when he saw the glorious spires and complexes that adorned the vibrant world city. From the pillars and temples built by people who had long since been conquered, to the brilliant mosques that stretched for what seemed as endless to the Sultan. Constantinople was the pride of a prideful nation, and a glorious testament to the wealth of the Osmanli people after centuries of conquests.

Mehmed rubbed his beard intently as he observed the Grand Mosques around the city. As he set his sights on the most brilliant of the city's architectural achievements, a Mosque that had once been the greatest Cathedral in the known world, before it had been conquered and converted into a Mosque by the Osmanli centuries ago. As he set his murky eyes upon the Mosque, a hand brushed his shoulder from behind. causing the middle aged Sultan to spin full face. At the Sultan's rear stood a tall man in an elegant robe and turban.

"Ah greetings, my friend" the Sultan says quietly as he relaxed his shoulders

"Greetings to you as well, your Imperial Majesty, but we have emerging news that may be of interest to you" said the Grand Vizier, a tall lanky man named Hadim.

"I see, It'd better be important Hadim, you know I don't like politics up here" the Sultan says with a motion to the tower and the cityscape

"It is VERY important your Majesty" the Vizier responds before presenting a notice for the Sultan to read

The Sultan ran his fingers along the paper and nodded to himself rather than to the Grand Vizier "I see, I will attend to it in front of the Court" he says with an arm motion to dismiss the Advisor.

Graska

Reaver stood on the palace balcony with Cray from afar to the nobles walking around the states garden it seemed no different then two gentlemen having a conversation. This was not false but not exactly true either, they conversed on the state of affairs of the border nations to the east. Reaver stood his top hat gave of a slick shine and his clothing where of the newest fashion, Cray stood in his ordinary clothing taking a sniff of a perfumed handkerchief. Finally Reaver took a pipe and began to smoke away, several butlers turned to him with a distasteful eye, smoking in any form was frowned upon. Reaver though could care less about his appearance.

"So what of it?" Reaver said out of the corner of his mouth, his voice muffled by the pipe. He began to lean on the railing to become more comfortable in his lazy stance. Cray waved his hand slightly brushing the smoke away.

"The king is not here taking care of things; we have always been in control. Ever since that boy’s father passed we have been in control. If he furthers these social reforms people will demand more! We must have these scum immigrants become part of the military." Cray's eyes stared to look around trying to become aware of his surroundings.

"What do you propose?" Reaver obviously more interested in the women who had just stepped out of the palace. He began to mumble to himself but Cray could not decipher it.

"We have a surplus in silver so much so it’s starting to cause a panic because of its decrease in value. Not many know this, especially not foreign nations. That is why we use the locked up silver as a sort of playing card. We give the silver away and ask that those who receive it not tell anyone, and then we can buy them into loyalty." Cray was speaking in a hushed tones fearing some one might hear.

"Sneaky I love it." Reaver chuckled and took the pipe from his mouth and gave a wave to the women below who quickly retreated back into the palace. "When do we start?"

"As soon as we know the King is not in the way."

Latya

Aidan stepped out of the carriage that had brought him from port, he needed a breather it was becoming so hot in these formal articles of clothing that he couldn’t stand being in a stuffy carriage. He was just outside the palace but had decided for a brief second to see the life of the common folk. Against the protest of his body guards and aids he striped down to his under shirt and a pair of pants. IN all honesty it gave him a rather roughish look and as he stepped out he blended in right away. To the guards dismay they began to shout and run after him.

It took the better part of an hour to find him at a tavern of all places; he was sitting playing a card game that he had obviously no experience playing. A sack of gold with the kooluk treasury stamp sat on the table. Aidan had a confused look on his face as the other players laid down their cards and took the sack. As every one laughed Aidan did to and ordered rounds for everyone, as the tavern cheered the guards dragged him out.

Refusing to put his royal clothing on he continued to the palace, he was greeted and let in. His shoes tapped on the smooth floor as he was guided around the palace to find the empress. When they did meet Aidan gave a lavish bow and reached for her hand.

"Your majesty." He took her hand and gave it a small kiss.

The Empress was waiting in the furthest side of the park, near the lake and under a tree, she was waiting for her guest King Aidan they were good friends and some suspected them to be more but she just wasn't sure what it was nor did she care, some said she was not at all interested in anything of the sort but they could be wrong. But after what seemed like hours the King finally arrived and when he did he kissed her hand and greeted her "Hello to you too my friend, how have you been? do you want any refreshments?" The young Women said in a general sort of way and gestured for her maid to bring tea "So caused this visit to Latnya? and why dress yourself in those clothes?"

Meanwhile,Africa

It was about 5 am and the men would just be waking up, the army of 150,000 men were going to streak a path through Africa and push the Empires colony's further then ever before the only problem being the natives, bug's and lack of supplies, but this could all be solved with a raid on a local village. But some ask what was the purpose of this expedition, why plunge into the heart of Africa when they have colony's in Indochina and on islands, many answer this question with diamonds but diamonds are only a half of it.

Aidan stood back up and nodded. He had been overtaken by her bueaty ever since they had met, his eyes glowed affection as he looked her over. Beautiful as always he thought to himself, but mabye it wasnt the beauty that so captivated him but the air of danger. He was no stranger to this place and knew she often got what she demanded even if it took darastic measures. Aidan was a kind and almost weak hearted soul, it was that air of danger that gave him a sense of adventure. Wiether she felt the same about him was as much as a mystery as it was to the rest of his court. He though only did what the court approved of no speacil shows of love only formal meetings, besides the Kooluk empire did not often look kindly at outsiders.

"Good as always," Aidan spoke calmly and brushed off his clothing."Well for my clothing Im afraid I simply couldnt stand them. Too hot for my taste. As to my visit I came on a well needed rest from court life, this nation is warm and I enjoy the weather. I hope you dont mind me staying I dont wish to intrupt any important meetings."

Africa

Smoke could be seen raising in the horizan, two men standing inside a small trench looked foward with telescopes. They wore sandy uniforms and faces wraped to protect from the bugs and heat from the sun that burned the ground below them. bolth took notes as the Latnya army came into view, finaly they bolth ducked down and ran in the direction they where heading. As they jumped onto horse back one turned to the other.

"Should we alert the empire?"

"Yes our colonies in Cape of good hope will be in danger at this rate. Open conflict though is not an option."

"Rakes then?"

"Yes.." The two men rode off in silence.

"I don't mind at all, Mon amour but tell me where are you staying at and for how long? she toke a breath and sipped her tea, as she began to sit on a bench not far from the pound "How goes the colony's and affairs of court?" she toke another sip and starred at the wandering Okapi as it came into view, it was a gift from her most trusted commander and friend who was probably half way across the colony's by now continuing the project.

Africa

The men continued to march and set up camps were ever they wiped out the towns, it was a slaughter of the people that only few survived only to becomes slaves. This was the brutal reality of the empires great wealth and power, how they stretched from Africa, to footholds in mexico and expansions of Indochina and the pacific, the men continued to march across the continent taking slaves and destroying villages building new ones for the trailing settlers.

Harald and Fredrich arrived in the Latynan capital. Harald had chosen, this day, to wear his "Grand Military" uniform instead of his "Royal" clothes. Harald stepped out of the carriage first. His blue tunic and matching trousers looked magnificent when it contrasted against his yellow cape. His white gloves helped the elder Fredrich out of the carriage. Harald was always humble with his status of power. He wasn't like his father, Christian V. He always spent money on fancy robes and clothes for himself. But Harald was different. Harald cared for his people more than himself. He built cities just for the homeless. He tried to lower taxes. And he treated his staff with respect. Harald walked into the palace with three guard and Fredrich. He presented himself to the Princess. He kneeled and said "Your Majesty" He kept his head bowed and was still kneeling waiting for the princess' response.

OOC: Changed it.

IC: Harald and Fredrich agreed to take a tour with the princess. Harald hoped that in Latya, he could find the daughter of a noble for marriage. Harald wasn't going to be a King Henry VIII. He wouldn't hook up with anyone just to have a son. That's what Harald's father did. Harald felt unwanted and unimportant. He wouldn't treat his wife or son or daughter like that.

Africa

The clouds of smoke burst through the small amounts of trees there where on the continent, several men lay cover in under brush blending into into the landscape. They wore sandy uniforms and their helmets had reeds thrashed about them, their whole bodies covered by a large sand and wee covered blanket. If one was to just stare out onto the landscape they would be totally invisible except if you concentrated for several hours.

Two men held binoculars watching as the Latnya army moved forward burning and taking as much as they wanted. The men saw slaves being taken, even though slavery was abolished in the Kooluk Empire many people critized the so called "Wage slaves" of the nation. Even so a third man held of a bolt action rifle and adjusted the scope. The stale wind blew over them and the man had to dust off the lens to get a clear view.

"I got a em" one man said to the sniper. The man nodded an looked through the scope. Sure enough in the distance a column of troops where marching passed a razed village. At the lead was the commander as per military tradition the general led the front of the column.

"I say 200 yards." The snipe commented as he loaded a bullet into the chamber, the rifle made a satisfying click. He adjusted the scope and shouldered the butt of the rifle; with a soft murmur he took aim. The cross hairs moved across the body of the general and finally to his chest. It would be much easier to hit his chest then his head. Then with a gesture he pulled the trigger, a sharp snap cut through the air as the bullet flew towards its target. Not waiting to see if it hit the men came out off the blanket and ran for the hills escaping into the vast landscape/

Aidan followed the empress to the bench and sat beside her, the sun warming his skin. The weather was nice unlike the Kooluk Empire which was usually cold or scorching hot. Here though it was a good balance. Aidan took a sip of the tea was offered and set it down beside him.

"The court is fine and as for the colonies they provide quite an abundance of raw ores." Aidan took another sip of the tea. He looked around he could have sworn there was a man watching him in the corner of the garden. Dismissing it he turned his attention back at the empress, he watched her as she looked away. He just gazed for awhile but shook himself back into reality.

"I will only be staying for three days or so." Aidan chanced his hand brushing over hers, as they touched he felt her soft skin and warmth. Yet as quickly as he advanced he retreated and pulled away his hand. He blushed and tried to turn her attention away from that.

"So I heard that their is a man here who wants a hand in marriage?" He gave a smile that of a small tease.

Tybiris Central

As the crowd moved along a single man barely stood out, he wore dark clothing and no part of his skin could be seen except for his eyes. His handkerchief wrapped around his face, if one concentrated on him long enough they could tell by his mere appearance he was up to no good. His wide rim hat shaded his face and coat obviously meant he was hiding a fire arm of some sort.

The man seemed to be locked on one thing Harald and Fredrich, those two along with their guide. He took his time following them on the tour and slowly got closer, his eyes never leaving them. He followed them past the crowds and into the industrial avenues. With each passing minute he drew closer hand slowly reaching into his coat.

PALACE PARK
"Yes there was a man here looking for a Noblewomen to marry, but i think im taken." she sipped the rest of her tea in a calm manner and admired the Park and its many animals, "My men our in the colony's as we speak pushing my colony's borders and i wish for you to be apart of it, i am proposing a alliance with us as well as with the kingdom of Wilconson." she drank the rest of her tea and called over a servant to take the cup.

TYBIRIS CENTRAL PLAZA
"And this is the Imperial Plaza, birth place of our empire." the guided said with a rather disgusting patriotic pride in his voice, the plaza was beautiful of course it was a huge park in the middle of the city with the Lake in the middle and to make it better it was "Le Célébration des fleurs" the grandest celebration in the empire, but the Princess continued "So sir what are you exactly looking for, i have many friends and they all see to be perfect for you when i think about it."

AFRICAN EXPANSE
The Army Continued and the new colony's were springing up everywhere, they had traveled 50 miles within the first day on foot and were determined to continue on until they reached the sea, but during this particular stretch during the night the army came across a band of Koolukians? and trying to follow there orders shouted at them "Étaient des alliés! Étaient des alliés!" repeatedly with no avail, but finally after suffering the lose of 30 men fought back against them and in column formation the 4th regiment attacked, general in lead but when they got close enough to fight there general was shot dead and there column scattered.

"Someone with some standard of compassion! Someone not too arrogant and cares for her people. A servant to her subjects, not a master. Someone who can be ever so respectful to her advisors and...visitors." said Harald, hinting to the princess.

As Antonio arrived at his palace he realized he was infact making a mistake, these nations had gotten brazen enough to try and expand on another continent, a continent with different cultures and issues that didn't involve them. However, now that they had gotten greedy and wanted to prosper, there was no reason Austrivinia couldn't gain a bit of the wealth. He assembled a meeting...

Meeting hall-10:30 P.M.

"Gentlemen, it has come to my attention that many of these powers are trying to expand into Africa, however, they already hold great power. However, this gives us a great chance to prosper off their suffering, I believe it's time to open trading negotiations with the suffering africans. They need guns and ammo, I say we give it to them for a price. We then use whatever money we make to build up the Army, build more factories. It's also time we realize that we have arrived in new times. New times call for more safety, we need our cities defended, besides our capital there are only 2 other cities with fortifications." His officials were somewhat concerned however, they began their work. Small fast ships were to begin loading up with guns and ammunition, they were to set out for trading with any tribe or kingdom that wanted their supplies.

"Oh well i don't know many people like that, but im sure we can find someone for you." the princess said with a slight blush and peep in her voice, "I doubt that's my sister though, shes a rather mean one but she's still the peoples favorite." After they all walked past the lake they went back up to observe the shoppes and carts" And by the way i forgot to tell you my name is Aurore, Aurore Tyber."
