Central Government District, Orurat City, Korr

The Head Chairman, Juduem Pl'errdeis, began his speach to the public that gathered in the Korrian Gardens Square. The speech is regarding the current centralization of power by the King. His taking powers away from the Legislative Branch, but most importantly the Head Chairman. This disturbance of power in the confederacy alarmed the Chairman. He spoke,

"My people, fellow Korrians, Ateli, Douroui, Mirories, and others that are united as one by the Confederacy, I come to you today to ask you to aid my efforts in stopping corruption within our nation. King Mi'lekoe has begun to steal power, centralizing it within him, mocking our democratic processes and making himself more powerful and eventually, if we allow him to continue, he will take all of it, and render the power of the people useless. Now we must act, and now we must do what we can to stop this power hungry absolutist. I ask my people to aid me in the end of the dominating and corrupt House of I'lerdem, together we can remove the corruption that chokes us constantly, now we must do those changes, We must remove the monarchy from the confederacy! Together we can!"

the many people in the Square began to cheer, as were many in the other parts of the planet, where this speech was being televised through almost all means, the Head Chairman began to enter the Council of Representatives.

But in the planet of Atel, home of the House of I'lerdem and the monarchy, it was another story. The Head Chairman had ordered a planetary blockade of the planet, and had ordered the arrest of the entire royal court. Of course, the royal guard and the Ateli Planetary Defense Force would do anything to stop this from happening.

"Your Highness, we must leave, if we don't then the confederate army will arrest you and who knows what else might happen. The city's airways are under enemy control, and the royal guard is loosing power as the minutes go by."

"NO! I will not leave my people, I am the king of the confederacy and the leader of atel. I must stay. Send my family to our secret hideout and tell them to leave the planet as soon as they can. Most of the court has abandoned me or been killed or arrested. Its up to me."

"But..uh..Yes, sire." The attendant left the room.

The king went over to a small comms. unit and turned it on, hoping to hear the Head General's voice. "Head General Markus, are you there?"

"Yes sir, we are here, our situation is quite bad, most planetary defense bases have been taken over, as were many key cities, and the Confederates are entering Mangata. We also know that the planet is completely blockaded, there is no way out, our navel forces have surrendered."

"I see.. Continue your fight general and keep me informed."

"Yes, your highness."

"Admiral, we still have not been able to secure the capital, and have not been able to reach the palace, but we have succeeded in lowering the city's shields."

"Perfect, if we cant go to the King, we'll make the king come to us. Begin orbital bombardment of Mangata, but make sure to not hit his royal highness' palace, just around the edges, give him a fright."

"uh..Yes sir. Commencing orbital bombardments, sending coordinates to ships now."

"Very well, I Admiral Jakuta order all vessels to fire!"

1 Day after the Attack on Atel

The Battle of Atel, as it became publicly known, was won by the Confederacy, with the destruction of many parts of Mangata due to orbital bombings and the arrest of some of the royal court members and the King himself. It was a shocking day for everyone.

Council of Representatives ,Orurat, Korr

"Silence, Silence." one of the 14 judges from the High Court of the Confederacy spoke. "Silence, Silence. The High Court is meeting here today for a special reason. The Trial of King Mi'lekoe of I'lerdem against the Confederacy of Korr-Atel. King Mi'lekoe, you are accused of having committed a multitude of crimes in order to establish your absolutist monarchy by violating the principals of this Confederacy. You are charged with Treason against the peoples of the confederacy, warmongering, the use of agents to preform revolutions in your name throughout Atel, the illegal tempering of the constitution in your favor and attempts to resist arrest. How do you plea?"

"Not guilty." The king's face had no expression, but his eyes showed shock and anger.

"Due to the amount of evidence against you and the laws that govern the royal houses, you are declared guilty by the High Court of the Confederacy through a unanimous vote and this court hereby agrees to the temporary accumulation of responsibilities and powers of the King of the Confederacy to those of the Head Chairman. This Court also sentences the disbanding of the House of I'lerdem and the Execution of King Mi'lekoe of I'lerdem by the Royal firing squad . Do you have anything to say King Mi'lekoe?"

"I only grieve for the confederacy's future. This Confederacy is decaying and soon will die."

The king was then taken by police. The Judges then also left and a meeting of the Council of Representatives was going to take place.

The Head representative of Korr spoke "Korr motions for the execution of emergency powers by the Head Chairman. It is hard times we live in, and soon royalist revolutions will spring up. We must secure power onto one man with the ability to end these uprisings."

Soon the other planets began to agree, with the exception of 5, but either way the motion was passed, and the Head Chairman had now full emergency powers.

"Thank you, thank you. It is now that I make good use of these powers for the better of the Confederacy. Officially, I declare the disbanding of the noble families of Atel and the Crown of the Confederacy. No more shall we await for another king and another power hungry house." the Head Chairman's words were met with applause and cheer. "The positions of vice-roys will be disbanded as well. The Royal Guard will now be the Confederate Guard."

News of these events also began to take like wild fire in the media, in some cases even spreading into other nation's media networks.

It was made public the declaration of independence of the planets, Niko IV, Sénere, Atel, Kel, and Douro. Niko IV was declared capitol of the alliance and in a series of planet wide battles NIko IV was liberated. The fight for Kel, Sénere, Douro and Atel had just begun. With battles still continuing on these planets, except Atel.

"Sir, reports coming through," a young Guardsman reported.

Lord Castellan Ursarkar Creed looked at the sheet of paper the Guardsman had handed to him. It seemed as if some people called the Korrians had overthrown their monarchy and replaced it with a confederacy. But Creed had something different in mind.

"Guardsman, give me a report on the current Black Crusade."

The Guardsman swallowed, "Well, sir, it's been pretty ugly, but we've driven Chaos back. We now control 90 percent of the surface. Chaos warships have been defeated in orbit and there aren't any reinforcements coming in."

"Casualties?"

The Guardsman shuddered, "Estimated to be ten million, sir. Unknown millions for Chaos as well." He swallowed again. "Sir, I fought Chaos about a few years back when the crusade began. I don't know how we drove the bastards back."

Creed nodded. He had done the same thing until a nearly mortal wound from a bolter had taken him out of action. "What's our current manpower status?"

"Well, sir, we're in good shape. We've recovered at an astounding rate since the major fighting ended. Almost replaced all our losses by now."

The Guardsman knew what Creed was thinking, and to be honest, it was a hell of a lot better than fighting what was left of Chaos.

"Guardsman, we have a new people to bring into the Emperor's light. Alert the High Lords of Terra. We're going to drop the Hammer on them."

The Guardsman went to his post and carried out the orders.

Six days later, Imperial Palace, Holy Terra

As soon as the message reached the ears of the Senatorum Imperialis through the labyrinthine bureaucracy of the Imperium, the Senatorum immediately ordered a war fleet be assembled in the Cadian system. Space Marine chapters were alerted to the order, Imperial Guard commanders were ordered to prepare their troops, Inquisitorial agents began to plot a sinister undermining of this new Confederacy. Provided that other powers did not end the war in the long period of time it would take them to get there, the Imperials would crush this Confederacy or die trying.

"My Lord! i have news! word has reached us that internal strife has struck a nation called the Confederacy. it appears their King has been executed replaced by a ruling council which seems to have given Emergency powers to its chairman. however soon after that several planets declared independence and have formed a Union of Free planets. i would hazard a guess that this will likely move to full scale civil war. they have many lush planets that we could perhaps bargain for them if we assist what is your orders?"

One of the senators that had voted for the removal of the king was one Ignatius Estanbar representative of the medium sized rocky planet of Siena, located at the far outer rim of the Confederacy. Why? The answer was quite simple; Siena was well removed from much of the happening in the confederacy, and being so far out was prone to not recieving military aid and the like for months at a time. With the king removed the confederacy would have their hands full.

Ignatius Estanbar was on the payroll of the most powerful criminal organization in the country, The Syndicate as they were simply known in dark corners all the way up through council chambers.

After the meeting had ended Ignatius quickly left and sent a dispatch back to Siena, via private communications:

A deep and rather spacious underground warehouse.

The monstrosity known in these parts as simply 'the destroyer' had arrived at this small criminal undertaking some months ago. Through his leadership the entire organization had been refitted and was even now growing and growing, with contacts and agents scattered across every planet in the weakly controlled empire.

The time has arisen to strike back and take this mineral rich planet for ourselves. We have already corrupted many of the leaders, but now is the time for us to lead this planet into the future. The country is at war, now we shall strike. Gather up your arms and form up. We strike government agents and agencies first."

And with that a loud cheer rose up among the planets most vile as they scurried away to gather their arms.

Within a matter of hours the streets were filled with gunfire and explosions as the underground literally exploded with soldiers of The Syndicate. Simotaneously multiple government structures were attacked and governing agents taken into custody.

The Head Chairman was in his office room, once the office of the king, an attendant enters.

"G..good D..day, sir. I h..have bad n..news." The attendant awkwardly entered the room toward the center.

"Hmm.." The Head Chairman was sitting in a big chair, his back facing the attendant and his gaze upon the cityscape that covered his window. "Tell me, is it some sort of rebellion, perhaps those ignorant royalists?"

"Yes sir, well, not quite. The royalist rebellions have died down, but there seems to be a newer more threatening rebel. Five planets, Niko IV, Sénere, Atel, Kel, and Douro, have declared themselves independent from the Confederacy and have recently engaged in warfare with our forces. In fact, due to a low confederate presence in the Niko planets, Niko IV has been freed and we have no control over it or its moons."

"Freed! No planet is free from the confederacy, we are the sole governing body these planets will ever see and i intend on having it that way for ages to come." The Chairman now faced his attendant. His eyes wide open.

"umm..y..es s..sir, this rebel group calls itself the Union of Free Planets. Apparently their military forces consist of the Planetary Defense Force from each member planet. They are outnumbered by our military."

The Head Chairman calmed down a bit and got up from his seat toward a computer screen that showed the map of the Confederacy. "I presume Niko IV is the only 'freed' planet?"

"Yes sir."

"Very Well, we must act now before they gain help from afar. Prepare a meeting with my ministers and generals."

"Yes sir, also i have a message from the Xeno-Admin, or something, apparently our internal affairs have gotten voice in the international scene." The attendant shyly handed the Head Chairman a Holo-Disk and left.

"I've also learned that several other empires are getting involved as well. And we've found the location several terrorist ships trying to enter their borders." Hardison replied.
"Oh? They dare to escape me? Very well. Have every ship in the sector converge upon that ragtag fleet and destroy it. Helm, take us the border and have all weapons charged. As soon as those ships are sighted fire at will." he ordered with a murderous glare.
The superbattleship undocked with military station and entered a transwarp corridor. As they did thi, nearly 60 other ships from the entire sector began to do the same. Hopefully they would be able to stop the enemy before they got into their borders and an incident took place.

Niko IV

Members of the Council of The Union of Free Planets were united in a somewhat damaged building, but still considered safe. Some of the members looked at the city from the building's windows. All they could see was recovering city, one with deep scars, almost broken, but still recovering. True Niko IV wasn't a planet like Korr, or Atel, somewhat backwards, but it had its advantages.

"The Battle continues to rage on, and I am afraid we wont win if we dont start to organize ourselves. What i suggest is we remove our forces from the battles they face and rendezvous them here, where they can rest, recover and re-equip for a more difficult fight." Nikroem broke the silence in the room.

"I agree Nikroem. We have to organize ourselves. We are small compared to the confederacy, but what we lack in power, we have is wisdom. We count with many great generals, and i assure you that we need them here for the time being so that we may plan our next move." Sa'ni spoke, in a more soothing tone, but with confidence.

"What we must do is regroup, we are already limited in numbers, and having our forces scattered only thins that number. But we also lack funds and the equipment. We must look for allies, perhaps the commerce sector, or a close by system might aide our cause." Nikroem spoke.

"That is why we are here." Mi'ro'ik said. "We have seemed to caught the eye of both a nation and a company. I have here the telegrams and i suggest we review what they offer us. As for our forces, I believe it is agreed that the must regroup here." Mi'ro'ik then nodded at an attendant and he knew that the order for a regroup had to be given out.

As the small, rag-tag fleet exited hyperspace they found one ship waiting for them. The flagship of the Federation fleet, the Exodius, blotted out the entire viewscreen as the captain of the terrorist vessel Acholyte began to issue orders. The other ships that had been chasing them had broken off, and it was then that he realized that they had led them right towards the Emperor himself.

Vagros smiled as the enemy began to fire on his ship. Their ships were still holding at 100%. He walked to a nearby console and entered a set of command codes. Suddenly, huge panels slid back on the ship to reveal several spikes that hummed with syranite energy.
"Fire." he said with a grin.
A wave of deadly red energy lashed out from the Exodius and struck every ship within the terrorist fleet. A series of bright explosions signaled that the enemy had been taken out. However, one ship remained, and it was using all of its engine power to rush across the border.
"All weapons! Fire on that ship! Don't let them escape."
Hundreds of red and green energy beams flew and struck the enemy ship, but they pressed on and passed the border. They did not stop however, and set course for a nearby planet.
"Full stop!" he yelled as the ship ground to a halt.
He could not cross the border without notice, and he had no desire to get shot at by a people he had yet to meet.

A deep and rather spacious underground warehouse.

The monstrosity known in these parts as simply 'the destroyer' had arrived at this small criminal undertaking some months ago. Through his leadership the entire organization had been refitted and was even now growing and growing, with contacts and agents scattered across every planet in the weakly controlled empire.

As the huge being, standing almost 8 feet tall strode through the production area ensuring that the many workers now so employed in the illegal manufacturing of weapons continued their work a single droid rolled up to him and withouta word handed him the message from Ignatius.

Standing up on a pile of nearby boxes, so that he could see the entire area the destroyer began to speak, "People of The Syndicate. The time has arisen to strike back and take this mineral rich planet for ourselves. We have already corrupted many of the leaders, but now is the time for us to lead this planet into the future. The country is at war, now we shall strike. Gather up your arms and form up. We strike government agents and agencies first."

And with that a loud cheer rose up among the planets most vile as they scurried away to gather their arms.

Within a matter of hours the streets were filled with gunfire and explosions as the underground literally exploded with soldiers of The Syndicate. Simultaneously multiple government structures were attacked and governing agents taken into custody.

It was well known that the planet Siana was a hive for the black market, In fact, the Head Chairman knew it well, as did every other citizen in the confederacy. The Planet was somewhat dirty, due to its industry, and had the stench of corruption, stinkier then that coming from the office of the Head Chairman. Of course everyone knew the backwards world that was Siana.

Location: Siana, Head Office of the Governor

A general, second in command after the Governor of the Planetary Defense Forces, had come into the office of Governor Ignatius Estanbar. The doors had busted open and he began to speak without even a proper introduction

"Governor, I am sorry for interrupting you but there seems to be some sort of pirate revolt or something. Our forces are not sure of the size of these scumbags, but we do estimate them to be of an equal force to our planetary defenses. What do you suggest we do, should we call for the Confederate army to attend to this?" General Bernabeu Moh'rit'a looked at the governor with preoccupied eyes. He was loyal to the Confederacy, and ironically was a hater of all corruption.

He handed the governor a holodisk with the reports on the current situation.
