Yep. I'm screwing with my factbook at the moment. I decided I didn't like calling my military the Marquesan Security Forces. Sounded too dull, and it didn't really fit the description. So I decided to call it the Marquesan Gendarmerie, or the Fraternité d'Armes de Messieurs. (Brotherhood of Gentlemen At Arms) and that necessitated going through my factbook and changing it everywhere it said MSF. LoL.

I took the idea for the longer name of the Gendarmerie from the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms in England. Most of the time, they'll just be referred to as the Gendarmerie, or Gendarmes for individuals. The name actually fits really well. Just that it's totally integrated. The military IS my police force, it's not just a branch. Therefore, I have the only nuclear-armed Gendarmerie in the world. LoL.
