Because the people who operate arms manufacturing storefronts is probarbly not going to like it when someone give weapons away for free.

Another issue is that so called "free stuff" tend to attract small newbie nations. I remember running around GE&T to get people to stop selling thousands of nukes to Hayaba.

Thirdly, and most importantly, giving away free stuff is godmoding. You can't have zero production costs when you make something therefore any storefront giving away stuff for free will run with a net loss. If we say that I decided to buy a trillion of Velgrae's planes then his nation would experience a budget loss far exceding the total GDP of his nation. Therefore an indirect godmod.

For the fourth having your defunct nation do stuff for you is also godmoding. You can't puppet wank thats cheating. I have had way over ten puppets if I revived them all and made them all give my nation free stuff. Well you can see how that would be a problem.

Mmm... I suppose I can see the point. Especially in much older nations that have hundreds of years of history. Some pomp is in order for that. If you have a brand new nation, there's no pomp to be had, no history to be celebrated. The simpler the better. My soldiers are referred to as Operators in a tactical sense, Gendarmes in a formal sense. It really ties nicely into the long history of Marquesan as French Polynesia, so the french influence will be pretty heavy in places. Then again, we did fight a military coup against french rule and won, so we're not their biggest fans. Just that it's part of the culture.

Quite. We're ok. Because we took Paris after Poitiers, the French never dissolved the Templars, and we took our new found success to Spain, spanked the Moors, and then took (via Marriage) Sicily and Venice, and then onto the Holy Land. Mongol invasion is fought off, just, and the Mamluks never rebel in Egypt cos we've already taken it.
