Greetings II, I come to you, once more, with a little idea.
As some of you probably know, the Russian Empire I play is the product of an alternate history where the Russian Revolution was defeated, Anastasia became Empress and so forth. So, naturally, instead of May Day, the Russian Empire has Counter-Revolution Day, which is close to St. Nicholas' Day, which celebrates the martyrdom of the Imperial Family.
So, the idea for this RP is that the Tourism Ministry extends an invitation to some foreign dignitaries.
If other Sol states are interested, we can probably integrate our events. I imagine Germany, the ERE (as the Ottomans), Prussia and Austria in particular would be interested, since both states were invade by the Counter-Revolutionary army on account of having fallen to Ebil Commies. Other Sol states would probably have some form of celebration going on, just on the principle that Communism Is Bad. So basically a sort of inverted May Day.
Basically, this RP will consist of a tour of important locations in St. Petersburg and Moscow, mostly related to the Russian Civil War. This will be followed by, of course, a military parade, state dinner and the Sol Fleet Review. The tour will take place several days prior to the actual holiday.
St. Nicholas Day, that is the day of the execution of the Imperial Family, is on July 17. Counter-Revolution Day, the official end of the Russian Civil War, is July 28. So basically there's ten days to do stuff in, allowing for your delegates to take some time to play tourist outside of the 'official' tour, although it's probably best to arrange stuff ahead of time.
