Representative's History: A farm boy and a retired Colonel from the Kobold war, Fenn worked closely with local Ericcian tribes organizing them into local cells of resistance against the Kobold occupants. After his tour he transferred into the "Department of Barbarian Interaction", the Gothic foreign affairs office. Due to his knowledge of indigenous cultures he had gained in the field he was eventually put in charge of the initial interactions between New Gothland and the Kaleesh exiles on the "Isle of Dread". He preformed even better than expected and even managed to convince them to join the Commune. After this Success he returned to the Mainland and continued to work as a liaison on interactions with the Kaleesh as they were integrated, as well as with communications between New Gothland and the Ericcian Tribes. Now a much older man he no longer has the stamina for extended forays into the Jungle. Realizing his days of youthful exploration and adventure were over he accepted the Military and Governments offer to place him as our COMCON representative. However, despite his age he is still projects a powerful presence, and his mind remains as sharp as ever. He also maintains a deep rooted affection for oppressed indigenous cultures, and decorates his office with many artifacts from his earlier travels.

Briefly Describe Your Nation's Communist Ideology: A mixture of traditional Marxist principles, militarism, and Religiously motivated nationalism. The nation is governed by a dualistic power structure. The "Government" of New Gothland is controlled completely by the will of the people, and is ran by a massive assembly full of literally thousands of different groups. These groups represent everything from steel workers, to farmers, to specific leftists movements, to whole provinces. Any group that consists of more than twenty members can show up and represent itself. There is also nothing preventing individual towns or cities within provinces from showing up and representing themselves as a separate entity from there Province if they happen to disagree with the majority that the Provinces group represents. Also, literally anyone can show up to meetings and argue in support of there group. But, they can only support one group per meeting, and no matter how many show up from a group collectively it still only gets one vote. The Prime Minster, presides of this assembly like a moderator, keeping the piece between the various factions. He also acts as the public voice of the Government and by extent the people.

The other half of the power structure is the Military. Though the Guardsmen themselves are citizens with there own political belief's, the Military Council lead by the Faceless considers itself a separate if allied entity. The Military controls all aspects of New Gothland that relate to national defense. They can technically declare war without any approval from the Peoples Assembly or the Prime Minister. In fact, various branches of the Military can go to war without ever involving the Military Council.

Inside New Gothland Guardsmen are viewed as national Hero's, to join the Military is to join an idolized institution. Despite there often shady or heavy handed tactics, Gothic citizens views the Military as benevolent, strong protectors. Defenders against the terrors of the wastes, and the hostile intentions of foreign aggressors. The Gothic people see the Military as sort of a watchful older brother, or sister
(Our military doesn't discriminate against gender)Particularly heroic Guardsmen are made official "State Heroes" and are added to the Gothic pantheon, and Anukai mythology as it is belived they will become officers in the second sons celestial Legion upon there death.

However foreign visitors to New Gothland often leave with a different impression of the Military. There presence is felt nearly at all times looming like a shadow. Many Government Departments have at least some aspects in which the Military is involved. Military patrols are also very frequent, giving most the impression they have just stepped into a warzone. It's also obvious that between the two powers the Military are the ones wearing the pants not the civilian Government. Whatever the Military wants it usually gets, and its not above resorting to underhanded means to get it either. Though the Military is not Malicious it is deffinatly not friendly either. Especially to nations or individuals it deems a threat to national security.

Additional Notes: As members of the Anukai we cannot officially join to any Military alliance, so we will regretfully have to pass on joining the Xarana Pact. However, that dose not mean that we cannot respond to requests for assistance. I've dispatched a preliminary missive to Il Falange di Fascisti (the new Fascist alliance), representing the Federal Socialist Republic of New Azura only (though the missive carries the flag of the Communist Confederation of States). This communication is only to establish detente with the new alliance, and prevent acts of wanton aggression from cropping up before firm diplomatic actions can be undertaken. While New Azura does not support nor condone Il Falange di Fascisti or its implied mission, I would urge all nations of COMCON to refrain from taking any provocative steps against them, for there are other Imperialistic regimes that would view the slightest provocation as a legitimate casus belli against us.
