Vangeria Founded
It was five hundred and sixty two year since the nuclear apocalypse which struck all of earth. Killing billions and plunging earth into a new dark age worse than the one following the Romans. A nuclear winter came and went. Animals died out and became history to no one. Earth had died only a few months after the nuclear apocalypse of two thousand and twelve (2012). No survivors. Only shadow and cold followed after.
The world has shifted massively. The lands have moved faster than usual and the creation of new lands, a new world, a silent world. No human lived... But that is what is seen to the outside. Because inside, in a mountain - lay a vault. A vault that was created to keep the Nordic, British and other European peoples safe from the nuclear apocalypse. It worked. People have lived and died in the vault. Generations of humans have moved on and think of the outside as nothing more than mere hell.
But it is five hundred and sixty two years later - when finally, the vault opens. And out steps two million people. The vaults had gotten crowded. Thirst to leave had increased massively and finally, after so many years - it happened. The people who first left the vault saw a sight of wonder, beauty and life. If anyone who knew of what the world had become in 2012. They would have said only one thing:
Earth has been reborn with purity.
The vault was designed to be a resting place and safe haven for the many people residing there. It was also a plan to rebuild earth. Hundreds of instructions on how to build houses, cook food, hunt; gather and so on had been prepared when the nuclear apocalypse happened for the future generations. Even deep down in the vaults, military equipment had been kept ready for the future.
Three weeks and two days later, the two million people had set up some sort of settlement. They had followed the instructions of the ancestors and created nice houses, kitchens and other useful buildings. Surprisingly - the vault also contained stone, wood, iron and other valuables to help rebuild the world. There most certainly was enough.
Also - animals had begun to appear. Cats, dogs, cows, sheep, fish and many other animals also flocked the earth. The people began to hunt animals for food and also test them in cooking. Some even took some dogs and cats as pets! More buildings were erected, many replacing the wooden ones created a few days after the people came upon earth once more. The city had no name. But they had a leader who tried to organise the rebuilding. His name was Henrick Vanger. So some call the nation Vangeria. The name has begun to stick.
One year later... the land has changed. The people have become under control and created many small settlements. Electricity had been re-founded by using the sun and the wind. The people had also discovered that they reside on a very huge island with many small ones dotted around. The knowledge of the rest of the world is very much unknown. No one committed any crimes. There is no point... yet.
Cities began to look elegant, a police force, a government, a healthcare; a military had all been established. The land known as Vangeria has prospered.
