Our Song {Open|FT|Intro}

Postby Rentusera » Wed Nov 17, 2010 12:39 am

Was yea ra exec hAmYAmLYAr hymmne EXEC_with.METHOD_PATRIARCH/.

In the high-steepled State church, three young 'women' sing joyfully. They seem young, but in reality they are older than the church they stand in. They speak in an unfamiliar language, a language that no one but them and the privileged few learn, a language which speaks to the planet itself. The 'church' is more of an auditorium, an enormous megachurch composed almost entirely of one room and large enough to seat several thousands. Every seat is taken.

Was yea ra merra xest pauwel dea hymmne en gAvLYAw/.

The sound is a bastardization of several languages, a combination of dialects and ancient languages; the populace hears only gibberish and variously perverted forms of the spoken language. Still, it serves its purpose well. The audience is enthralled as Administrator Azrukal stands, and gazes upon her subjects. The instruments play a gentle tune as she waits for the singing to finish.

Was granme ra sarrifis sos mea tebhvcaa en Rentusera/.
Was yea ra melenas fandel sos mea tebhvcaa en Rentusera/.
Was quel ra hAmEmLYArLYN sos mea tebhvcaa en Rentusera/.

It goes on for minutes. As the final voice dies out, she begins speaking. Her sweet voice is similar to those of the singers- they who walked back behind the stage. She shouts out in the same Vulgar Hymmnos they speak, tells them about the effects of their isolationism. Her speech goes on for a long time, as she rages on and on about society, bringing the easily-swayed audience to a frenzy. Her oration was matched only by their reaction. As she turned around once more, the church let out a great cry. The tower administrators would likely be less than happy, but she didn't care much.

After all, she was their appointed ruler.

Zuieg omnis.

In a trance of concentration, our joyous voice wish in synchrony for peace and stillness. We thank you happily.

Our planet joyously wishes for visitors at [tonelico.FILIA => flare:0x::145::2322::4244]. Sadly, the majority of places on the planet are burning seas of fire, and we live on shards of faraway memories. Please do not land on the burning oceans.

Thank you.

I don't masturbate: I simply ponder on the prevalence of constructivism in de-realist paradigms and I hit orgasm.
Of course, I don't need to orgasm either: the nerves simply retract my sexual organs into producing more fuel for my brain, making me think more.
So you may say I am constantly masturbating and orgasming, but also not at the same time.

U.S.S Pegasus, NCC-22000-B
Sovereign Class Starship
Astrum Trabia Fleet Yards
1st September 2400

The sleek form of the Sovereign Class starship slipped through the dry-docks containing the newest designs of Starfleet, as well as some of the old warhorses. The space surrounding the fleet yards was crowded, shuttles and runabouts moving back and forth, other starships moving in and out of the area. The Pegasus however pushed forward, all other traffic moving out of the way in respect for the powerful Starship in their midst. Soon enough however, the Majestic starship came across one of the larger dry-docks, capable of holding the large vessel, this was to be the ships home for the near future. The ship moved slowly into the docking construction, the stations tractor beams secured the vessel as it was powered down, the Warp Nacceles faded and the thrum of the warp core fell silent across the ship.

Across the ship, the Crew of the Pegasus were relaxing, with their ship safely in the protecting arms of a Starfleet Drydock, all crew had been permitted to take some leave, although they would have to remain in-system, as they would be needed on the ship at various times. For the most part however, the Captain and crew of the Pegasus were looking forward to meeting their families face to face for the first time in years, many of whom had come to the system especially for the Pegasus' homecoming.

U.S.S Pegasus, NCC-22000-B
Sovereign Class Starship
Outbound from Astrum Trabia Fleet Yards
1st January 2401

Captain Baker massaged his temples as his engineer left, the Ship was running well on it's shakedown indeed they had altered their mission to investigate an interesting message they recieved, however it had taken a hell of a lot of man-hours to get the ship working, not to mention that he now had to replace his executive officer. Even worse, he didn't have the choice. A few moments later, this lack of choice decided to dock in his door. He summoned the officer in and almost immediatly frowned. The Officer that walked in, was an oddity. The woman walking forward appeared to be an attractive human female, save for the strangly pointed ears.

"Commander Victoria Blackmore, reporting for duty captain" The Officer said, thus making it more strange, a Human-Vulcan with a Human name, something extremly strange.

"Welcome on-board" Baker said, unsure whether to smile or not, but then decided to. A few seconds later this appeared to be the correct move, as the officer had none of the expressionless facial immobility of a regular Vulcan. Blackmore smiled back and shook the offered hand.

"It's good to be here sir" Blackmore replied.

Baker smiled and raised an eyebrow.

"I get the feeling it's going to be interesting getting to know you" He commented.

"I get that a lot" Blackmore replied taking a seat on a low sofa beside her new commanding officer.

"I'd imagine" Baker replied "Have you had a chance to look over the reports that Admiral Fukishimu sent to you?"

"Yes sir, the NX-91001 refit is a technological marval" Blackmore commented.

"She is at that"

The Pegasus was the second Sovereign Class Starship to go under the radical refit, drastically increasing it's combat capability, whilst at the same time maintaining and in some cases improving the ships scientific and exploratory capabilties. She was as stated, a technological marval incourporating a multitude of technology that would no doubt find it's way into the fleet given time. It was also the first sure sign that Starfleet was returning to something resembling normality.

As the two Starfleet officers talked they continued on their way, soon enough the starfield returned to normal out the viewport and the two officers walked out onto the bridge and settled into their seats to see exactly what this message was all about.

The planet was a mass of burning magma from orbit, but it was clear that life still thrived- right below the cloudy exterior, hints of green, blue, grey and yellow could be seen, islands of artificial construction. There were no ships to be seen, all their aircraft far below their atmosphere. A few heads of towers protruded from the clouds, gargantuan statues of might. Occasionally, a gout of fire would rage from the magma seas, and once in a while the tips of the towers would flash a light crimson. Around the tips of the towers, the clouds seemed to bend and consciously stay away from the tips.

Sol Ciel itself was nothing- but the islands hovering over it- they called it Tebhvcaa, a series of Risshi ideographs- were everything. Clear efforts had been made to reclaim some land, construction efforts made to expand from the 'coasts' in progress. The technology that sent the message kept the islands afloat, and served very well as a defense mechanism. One tower stood particularly tall, almost reaching past the atmosphere- Filia. It seemed to glow, it's white sides shining in the light of the sun.

There was no hint that they had jumped into the system, but Filia sent out the same transmission constantly- a very much psychic blast, less of a mechanical transmission and more of a physical one. The populace did not seem to mind, but any creature with a soul would hear their cry. They sung their song without pause, sending their prayers to the stars.

U.S.S Pegasus, NCC-22000-B
Sovereign Class Starship
Unknown System
1st September 2400

Pegasus settled into orbit of the planet, scanning the planet with it's impressive array of sensors. It was certainly a different visage than they had been expecting when they reponded to the transmission. They were also concerned that they had no heard from the Planet's surface, nor any other ship for that matter. Usually that didn't bode well. Baker thought for a few moments and conferred with Blackmore before making his decision, he was after all charged with protecting his crew at all costs.

"Yellow alert, Raise the shields" He ordered grimly "Keep an eye out for cloaked vessels in the area, or ships running silent"

The atmosphere on the bridge was tense, all other times when a Federation Vessel had been called to a planet and then not contacted had ended badly. Most notably the Enterprise-E's mission to Romulas and resulting engagement with the Reman Warbird Scimitar. With complete silence from the planet, no one on the Pegasus wanted to take any chances. Particually as the Pegasus was one of only a handful of Heavy ships that the Federation had these days.
"Send a message to Starfleet Command" Blackmore added "Let them know our situation and that if we're not contacted in twelve hours we're heading home"

"Aye sir"

"Twelve hours Commander?" Baker asked.

"Sir, we can't just sit out here, we're gonna attract too much attention otherwise" Blackmore replied.

"Agreed" Baker replied after a few moments thought "Now we wait"
