Enex scoffed.

"Far from it. The surface may be dotted with isolated settlements, but underneath it all, the real world of Unilisia is known. People wonder why we are pale. Because the surface is not our official home." She smiled, teeth bared unintentionally.

She sighed sadly "After my mother died, Eve helped me through it, and we also became fast friends." She climbed into the limo, "How about some dinner? I'm famished."

Suddenly, the spell was broken. Patrons leaped from their seats, prostrating themselves before her. "We are yours to command, Majesty, we live to serve." they chanted in unison. A smile came to Ling's lips. "You may rise." She seated herself at a table as a nervous waiter came to take her order. "Steak and absinthe for me, your finest homo-sapiens for my guest." He bowed and left.

Ling smiled at Enex. "Enex, you are so much like your mother. You are so focused on war, and so focused on death. Killing is not all there is." She drew a dirk from her boot, and threw it. It caught a departing patron in the base of the skull. "I enjoy a spot of death now and again, but if one lets the sweet smell of death consume them, they will suffer. One must govern." She looked Enex in the eye. "As Evelyn's daughter, you must verse yourself in the arts of diplomacy. You will rule your nation one day, and you should be prepared. You must inhale the scent of life, of love, of luxury." She laughed, a high pitched sound that pierced the air. "You must immerse yourself in life, recognize you are important and powerful. You are superior to 98.3% of all the world. Live, laugh, and love." She blushed a deep crimson, "I'm sorry, I'm lecturing you. It is not my place. Please forgive me."
