Glory to the Empire (FT, INTRO, OPEN)

Imperial Romulan Warbird Norexan
Norexan Class Warbird
Imperial Space

The installation of a new Preator wasn't an uncommon thing in the Star Empire, and most onboard the Norexan had seen at least three such events as previous one's were either overthrown by the Senate or assassinated. THe efficiency of Romulan Politics however ensured that a new leader was present almost immediatly. It was never the less the most important thing to happen in the last few decades in the Star Empire. Save for the launch of the Norexan the week before, the previous Preator's last public appearence. Norexan had been constructed to counter the short-comings of the massive D'Deridex class Warbirds who were slow if heavily armed, although they were likely to remain in service for decades to come. The Norexan by contrast was smaller, move more manoeuvrable and remarkably fast for her class.

Commandore Alarak strode onto the bridge of his Warbird, having been locked away in his office for the best part of the past hour. His orders were certainly interesting. The Empire had been in self-imposed isolation for many decades as they fought the Reman threat, as well as slowly but surely expanding. His orders changed things.

"Attention All Hands, this is your Commander" Alarak said as he pressed a button on his screen "I have just recieved new orders from his Excellency the Preator, we have been ordered to move beyond our borders and into deep space, we are to explore our local area to establish any potential future threats to the Empire, Glory to the Empire!"

Moments later as the bridge staff quickly co-ordinated the stream of orders that were being given by their commanding officer, the Warbird cloaked and promptly jumped to warp.

The Norexan dropped out of warp, keeping her advanced cloak raised as she cruised forward into the system she had arrived in. Under cloak their sensors required them to get closer to their target so they would need to get a lot closer to the only Class-M planet in the system if they wanted to find out if there was likely to be a alien presence on the planet or nearby space.

"Commander, we are approaching the Planet, commencing scans" Centurion Kalek reported from his station.

"Good, keep me updated"

Welcome to America. No Federation included.

New Earth - New Sol System
Unknown Quadrant

New Earth was a sleepy little place within the terribly short expanse that was the Interstellar American Empire. No United Federation; no multiple races uniting under a single banner. Just one, one terrible interstellar power that had yet a chance to spread it's wings and let the eagle of it's namesake fly with glory. Of course it was not into fighting either; this sleepy eagle was an accomplished warrior but it was also a lazy scholar biding it's time with the learnings of new worlds, new places, new wonders.

They had explored every frontier and conquered most of them; from Space to Time itself nothing held a secret against them for long. Now it led to wonder just exactly who were these people of which the Romulans were now getting closer to? Well; they were the Americans and they were quite simply a minor power displaced for the time being; and the Romulans would find they were not the only ones who had the ability to go out into the expanse that was space; there was always America.

New Earth itself prickled with an odd assortment of 21st century style cities with 51st century technology; everything was smaller and grander; better and more powerful yet it was at the same time nostalgic. What wasn't nostalgic were the massive metaphasic telemetry scopes that dominated the Sarah Desert; pointed upward in search of everything that was to be searched for out there in the greater universe. Admittedly for some reason the telescope could not pick up the Romulans; despite being able to see through dimensional barriers and a host of other arrays. Ah well, technology has it's faults now and then.

OOC: Admittedly not my best work I apologize in advance for that. I advise that while names may seem familiar with my nation; lose the concept of Star Trek and it's technology from myself, I do so look forward to interacting with you however if you don't mind!

OOC: No! No! Not what I meant at all! ST Tech can be effective as hell as we all speculate and 'know'! I'm saying I don't use it so please don't assume I do is all!
