Bulgislavia is certainly more liberal and democratic then it was when it was under the darkly oppressive and Stalinist regime of Mehmet Ceau over 7 months ago. However it is still a moderate police state dominated by a single party with a puppet parliament with Pro-Popular Unity political parties and you oculd guarentee that all those politicians are under survalence as well as outspoken journalists and critics.
Half the youth from the ages of 18-25 largly feel like the April Revolution that ousted stalinists had been betrayed and freedom had not come far enough
The Other half of youth from that demographic became fanatical Humar Manici supporters that harrass people who are against his Popular Unity party and his policies.
The State Supported Youth that is the individuals in the Humar Youth are immediatly given positions at university if they please. Promotions at work and their parents are finding entry into the Popular Unity Party to be very easy.
The "Non Conformist" youth reverted to the occasional out of control street party, experiamentation with psycadellic drugs and the release of shocking and radical art and music which the Government has not banned but is using the media to build public opinion against these "Anti-Social" behaviours and frown on it.
"It will be interesting to see how these occurances and the divergence of the youth into two distinct groups will impact on Bulgislavian Culture and its development" stated a member of the Popular Unity party.
An "Acid Rock/Psycadellic" group of muscians have recently formed a band called "Universal Connection" which the government has condemned for "Inciting social disorder and have banned them from selling their music. However that doesnt seem to have phased them as they play their music at underground venues
"Socialism In Bulgislavia truly died in April when we had the revolution. Those politicians with regreets that would like to turn back the clock to the old days wont succeed in conditioning the people. The curtain has been raised from our eyes and we now know that imrpovements in freedom and liberty need to be made" Said the lead singer of Universal Connection
However there is a different view from the other half of the youth
"There all drug addicts and unemployed losers that are pulling this country down into a hellish mess of rampant drugs and idiots. The Sooner we mobalise the country with the new Ideals promoted by Humar the better this nation will be for it" said a fiery young Humar Youth Member
