Due to the aggressive policies of the Sufforian government, it is with a heavy heart that I, Emperor Arathor I, with the authorization of the people's High Council, declare that a state of war now exists between Osthia and Sufforia. I have never tolerated threats to the wellbeing of any of my people, even if they are not truly mine, and I will not cease in letting Sufforia know that threats against my people will be dealt with quick and severe punishments in the form of the Osthian military. Sufforian civilians will not be targetted unless they pose themselves as a threat to the wellbeing of my soldiers. POWs, in accordance with the World Asssembly, will be treated with medical care, as well as a shelter until the war is done. The Sufforian Senate calls me a despot, well, only a despot would declare that all Sufforians would die by his hand. I am not that kind of man, and no Dralien monarch ever shall be, by the grace of God!

To the Nation of Osthia,

While we understand your anger against the Nation of Sufforia, we are not understanding of this declaration of war. Any nation, at any given point in time may refuse to recognize another nation; regardless of religious orientation, political views and even economic prowess (or lack thereof). They have the right to capture or destroy merchantime shipping coming to and from your nation, provided it enters their own sovereign, undisputed waters.

We agree that the issue of treating all Osthians in the country as spies to the Sufforian nation as spies and thus forth treating them as such is extreme, however their government still gives the people of Osthia a choice, should they vow to overthrow what is often considered one of the most corrupt forms of government in the world we so delightfully inhabit.

We highly recommend that this issue is solved peacefully rather than through extremely unnecessary warfare. Should this continue, we will have no choice but to continue further and side with the Osthian opposition to prevent Osthia and her government from becoming further corrupt and severely hypocritical in this situation.

The large cavernous and elegantly adorned office of the Kaiser was rather quiet, with all eyes glued to television screens. The security even listened to radios, as were a significant number of the population.

Michael Von Hohenzollern XVIII merely pursed his lips as he sipped at a cup of tea. He had made up his mind, though his ministers protested, to assist his fellow Monarch.

His long, slanty handwriting continued to mindlessly scribble on the thick stationary, his coat of Arms and title clearly embellished in gold on the top. He ran his free hand through his dark hair, and focused his mismatched eyes now on the check, scribbling out the amount, and signing it along with the letter, folding the latter around the check, and slipping them into an envelope. He sent it with his Ambassador, and bid him good luck, lighting himself a cigar as the situation continued to progress.

I understand our two nations have not seen exactly eye to eye, seeing as our recent bout regarding the acknowledgment of a nations revolutionary actions, however I understand that, as any emperor should, concern regarding the death of the Imperial way of life in the world wide perspective.

Having this fact duly noted and stated, I have enclosed a personal check from the Imperial Treasury of the precise amount of 500 trillion Krowne's to finance your war, at least partially, as well as a military contingent of 6,000,000 million troops of various military branches, 2 million of them being Sturmtruppen infantry and artillery troops.

In exchange, I expect trade sanctions in times of peace and military aid in conflicts to come, and you can expect a visit in the near future, for me to assess the progress of our troops and ensure that proper communication and orders are being followed respectively and when necessary regarding your specific plans.

Empress Catherine II learned of the Osthian declaration of war against the Commonwealth of Sufforia. The Empress was actually pleased. She had learned of the Sufforian actions against Osthia, and she also decided it would be a chance to help cement her reputation. As such, she sent the following letter to Emperor Arathor I:
