In the months following the 2010 mid term elections the U.S. continued to polarize. Right against Left, Liberal against Conservative, Republican against Democrat. And caught in between numerous smaller parties, PACs, interest groups and political factions. Finally, in early 2011 the country imploded. Secret Police units working for the still Liberal-controlled government moved to "dispose" of certain individuals on the right including some of the newly elected. At first they succeeded, but it wasn't long until the American people reacted with a swiftness and ferocity that stunned the government. Fighting broke out all across America primarily in purple areas of the country. After the initial chaos the lines were clear: The mid-west and south along with Alaska were engaged in a bitter civil war with the west and east coasts as well as Hawaii. The vast majority of the military and state and local police forces sided with the right. With such a huge force arrayed against them, the government and their blue state followers faltered and by mid 2011 the second American Civil War was over. Nearly all of the leftist, statist heads of government were imprisoned or executed. The charge: high treason.
Now it is up to the Conservatives to rebuild America and undo the damage done by the statists. To the rest of the world America became known as the "Tea Party Republic.
