Imperial Coronation (OVER, CLOSED)

Catherine sighed, (AGAIN!)
"Well, sometimes I feel up and sometimes I feel down. I am just thankful to be alive in such a diverse world..."

While the Kylarnatian Royal Family waved to the crowds, Baby Kain was giggling as he crawled between his mothers and fathers laps. Empress Alice saw the distress of President Catherine.
"Ms. Catherine, please cheer up, nobody likes seeing a world leader upset. especially not a female. I know that, people were distressed when Empress Catherine got upset by the constant affairs. Lord Halifax is also right."

Catherine responded,
"Yes, it destroys the spirit of the people. I just.... oh well,"
She stiffened up her upper lip, and tried her best to smile.

Lord Halifax didn't say anything, but thought to himself The girl must calm down. She must realize that she must keep her strength

Breakdown time was over. Catherine knew that her bad morale would make the people of Kioyoto weak.

Halifax nodded, and he noticed Kain crawling between Empress Alice and Tsar Hyuga. Lord Halifax then said to Empress Alice "I must say, that your son, His Highness, is a adorable little toddler."

"Thank you very much! He does love to be very cheerful around people, our people are really looking forward to when he comes into power." Empress Alice smiled as she picked him up and allowed him to smile at the crowds. She then passed him to Tsar Yuri as she looked back the President Catherine.

"Look, when the coronation is over, we can sit down and talk." The Empress smiled.

Price chimed in as well. "They are right. Although I'm not a head of state, as you are, I have seen many a President buckle under the strain of their job. 'A true sign of a leader is one who sets an example to the rest of their people.'...our Vice President said that to the State Department once, before he was killed in the terrorist attack in Agincourt."

Halifax nodded, and he noticed Kain crawling between Empress Alice and Tsar Hyuga. Lord Halifax then said to Empress Alice "I must say, that your son, His Highness, is a adorable little toddler."

"Thank you very much! He does love to be very cheerful around people, our people are really looking forward to when he comes into power." Empress Alice smiled as she picked him up and allowed him to smile at the crowds. She then passed him to Tsar Yuri as she looked back the President Catherine.

Catherine said,
"Yes, I'm trying to do my best. It's so great to make new friends. I must say, your little offspring is adorable." She looked fondly at the little boy.

Halifax listened to Empress Alice, President Catherine, and Ambassador Price talk. However, that's when the procession reached the cathedral. At the other limos, people began getting out. As according to tradition, the Empress would get out last, escorted by the Imperial Chamberlain, the Steward, the Chancellor, and the Bearer of the Seal. Halifax opened the door in his limo and said "I must join up with Her Majesty's group." He headed over to the Empress's limo, where the Imperial Chamberlain, Steward, and Bearer also where. When they noticed him, they bowed their heads, saying "Chancellor Halifax." Halifax of course told them to prepare. Meanwhile, at the limo, servants lead President Catherine, Empress Alice, Tsar Hyuga, Prince Kain, and Ambassador Price out of the car and into the cathedral.

Catherine was so psyched to see an actual coronation! Of course, she had heard of them before, but never had she ever seen one. She forgot all about her troubles, and excitedly hurried after the servants.

"Thank you very much! He does love to be very cheerful around people, our people are really looking forward to when he comes into power." Empress Alice smiled as she picked him up and allowed him to smile at the crowds. She then passed him to Tsar Yuri as she looked back the President Catherine.

"Look, when the coronation is over, we can sit down and talk." The Empress smiled.

Catherine said,
"Yes, I'm trying to do my best. It's so great to make new friends. I must say, your little offspring is adorable." She looked fondly at the little boy.

"Thank you! He does love people." The Empress smiled as she left the car with the child in her hands and her husband beside her. They walked into the catherdral, loving the design of the cathedral.

"May I sit next to you..?" Catherine whispered to Empress Alice.

[Erjunhuf]

Ambassador Price was last to get out of the car, taking some time to look at the architecture of the cathedral. It was exquisite: not that he had expected anything else, but the only kinds of buildings even remotely similar to this were the ruins northwest of Carthage, Erjunhuf. Slightly awed, he followed the servants into the building.

[Royal Calathonia]

Everybody headed in, taking their seats. After everyone was inside the cathedral, at the door, a guard announced "Her Imperial Majesty Catherine II! Everyone, please pay the proper respects." The Empress then came in, with her formal Imperial Robes, surrounded by Lord Halifax, the Imperial Chamberlain, the Imperial Steward, and the Bearer of the Imperial Seal. Every man in the room got on their knees and knee-led down to the floor, bowing their heads, saying "Your Imperial Majesty." The women got down onto the floor and curtsied to the Empress, saying "Your Honorable Majesty." The foreign diplomats would not have to do this, but would be expected to pay some form of respect, such as bowing their heads or saying "Your Majesty," or "Your Highness". It would be considered disrespectful if they did not.

Catherine curtsied, and said "Your honorable majesty,"

"May I sit next to you..?" Catherine whispered to Empress Alice.

"Ofcourse you may." Empress Alice smiled as she came to the doors of the cathedral. She marvelled at their size, she then followed the procession in as they sat down. Empress Alice left a space for President Catherine. She knew she was on her own, so she didn't want her to sit on her own.

The Kylarnatian Royal Family bowed their heads, "Your Highness." Though baby Kain gave a smile instead to show his respect.

Price, upon seeing the Empress enter the room, did as he was trained to do. Bowing his head in respect, he responded with "Your Highness." as Catherine II passed by.

"May I sit next to you..?" Catherine whispered to Empress Alice.

"Ofcourse you may." Empress Alice smiled as she came to the doors of the cathedral. She marvelled at their size, she then followed the procession in as they sat down. Empress Alice left a space for President Catherine. She knew she was on her own, so she didn't want her to sit on her own.

The Kylarnatian Royal Family bowed their heads, "Your Highness." Though baby Kain gave a smile instead to show his respect.

Catherine also took a little time to admire the beauty and scope of the cathedral.... such things as this were not found in Kioyoto.

[Royal Calathonia]

The Empress acknowledged all of the bowing, curtsying, or respectful sayings, and said "You may all rise, and return to your seats," Everybody compiled, returning to their seats, although daring not to turn their backs on the Empress. Anyhow, she, with the Chamberlain, Steward, Bearer, and Chancellor (Halifax), reached her Throne, and, slowly turning around, sat down. The Archbishop of Munster, a man of seventy years, came forward and said "Everybody, please bow your heads, to pray to the Lord." Everybody did so. He then said the Lord's Prayer, with everyone repeating after him:

"Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, [and] the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen. "

After completed, with that, he then said another prayer, everybody repeating:

"Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.

Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.

For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away. Amen."

After this, the Archbishop said his final prayer, everybody also following along:

"To Thee alone, King of mankind, has he to whom Thou hast entrusted the earthly kingdom bowed his neck with us. And we pray Thee, Lord of all, keep him under Thine own shadow; strengthen his kingdom; grant that he may do continually those things which are pleasing to Thee; make to arise in his days righteousness and abundance of peace; that in his tranquility we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity. For Thou art the King of peace and the Saviour of our souls and bodies and to Thee we ascribe glory: to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen."

After this, he said "Everybody may raise their heads and resume normally." Everybody did so.

Tsar Yuri, whilst witnessing the procession, had a flashback of his and his wifes own coronation. Almost all of the Empire had pitched in on the event. The Pope of the Kylarnatian Orthodox had been the head of the event, and followed the same fashion of what was happing at this event. Except more expensive and more grand.

In Kylarnatia, people were watching video links from reporters that were standing outside, reporting on what the process was for the coronation.

The Kylarnatian Family indeed did prey when they had to. They wanted to respect the Empress. They promised her that they would support her, and they weren't going to break that promise. Empress Alice still believed that her support had helped.

At this time, in the back, appeared the Imperial Crown, the Imperial Scepter, and the Imperial Orb. All there were in the back, ready to be used by the Archbishop to crown the Empress.

At this time, in the back, appeared the Imperial Crown, the Imperial Scepter, and the Imperial Orb. All there were in the back, ready to be used by the Archbishop to crown the Empress.

The Kylarnatian Family sat in silence but with firm and happy looks as the looked towards Empress Catherine. They were happy to see someone in the Imperial World going up. they knew that the coronation was very pressurable.

Catherine lowered her head in prayer. She prayed that the Empress would have a fruitful life, and be a good leader of Calathonia.
