All branches of the the NW Canadian Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Command) have been brought to full alert status. Fleet units and strategic strike wings have been sortied. New Hayesalian reserves have been called to domestic security, and Air Chief Marshal Jordan Scotts has been selected as Chief of Operations. All cities, bases, and major security points are being defended with Trident Missile Systems, and the SLAMS Missile Satellite System will be expected to see use. Citizen-run "watch stations" have been assembled along the coasts. Should enemy assets be seen, they will be spotted and destroyed.

You claim to be a republic, a place of civil rights, yes? Then why do you stand up for your exact opposite, who persecutes his people merely because they are gay or non-Christians.
