The operations center was abuzz with activity. General Fry, the spacecom commander had been in the operations center since shooting had began. "Pull up the Global Shield network Major"ordered the General. On the massive displays was displayed every Global Shield kinetic kill vehicle placed in orbit recently. Patching his wireless headset into the intercom the general began to address the operations center. "As we all know scant minutes ago a shooting war has began. With men and women of this nation in harms way it is our duty to support them in their task. Per orders we are activating Operation Intrinsic Starlet. Forty five Global Shield vehicles will be tasked to engage any and all Missourian Rebels orbital traffic. All military and civilian satellites will be targeted.This will degrade the enemies ability to monitor the battlefield, communicate amongst themselves, and leave their command structure deaf and blind. As professional soldiers of our nation it is our duty to accomplish this much important mission. The amount of casualties the coalition suffers rests on this act." said the general. On three consoles technicians transmitted orders to the vehicles orbiting far overhead. Global Shield, as a networked system communicated between kinetic kill vehicles. Thirty seconds later each vehicle had selected its target. In the case of larger satellites two vehicles were targeted. Firing solutions we established in all cases except one. The one vehicle that had no firing solution was registering a guidance malfunction and would be allowed to reenter earths atmosphere to burn up harmlessly. "We have valid firing solutions on all targets General" said Major Gordon Thomas the chief fire control officer. "You are cleared to engage all targets Major. Set Global Shield into automatic mode to engage further targets later." ordered the general. "Confirm all units in automatic mode General. Targeting units away" responded the major. In orbit the targeting kinetic kill vehicles fired their solid fueled rockets propelling the vehicles to thousands of miles per hour. Aboard each vehicle the the nose shrouds were jettisoned. Internal guidance guided them to the targets their targeting sensors had in the cross hairs. In short minutes each vehicle was closing in on its target. In some cases those targets were military communications satellites, in others intelligence collections assets. In each case the results were the same. Billions of dollars of complex satellites were reduced to nothing more than wreckage. Solar panels were shattered, delicate electronics shattered, and fuel tanks ruptured. These high tech kamikazes had in minutes reduced the Missourian Rebels presence in orbit to nil.

Colonel Anderson of the Hungarian Peace Keeping forces was over looking the Check point and he was no pleased. The flow of Refugees was massive and didn't seem to stop people were flooding the Check points entrance and the guards were being harassed. A flight of three Hungarian Hinds Flew over head they were providing cover for the Peace keeper's as well as ferrying them around.

The Colonel continued to look around and saw one of the Hungarian Tanks rolling up to the Check Point. It maneuvered into position on the side of the road and turned its turret to cover the Guards. The next thing he saw was what looked like a Captain getting into an argument with a refugee, He walked over and ask,
"Whats going on here?" The Captain explained and the Colonel gave him a sower look. "Anyone caught with drugs or weapons attempting to get into this zone is to be considered hostile and is to be shot end of story."

Pushing the report aside, he looked down at the latest intelligence reports and satellite imagery that was coming in and being updated every thirty minutes. From everything he was able to gather, both from abroad and from his own scouts and escorts, they were well in the clear and relatively safe for the moment.

He sipped his tea tasting the warm sweetness of honey as it passed over his lips and smiled at its soothing abilities and patiently awaited their arrival at the RV point.

A few services are taken out, but the majority of the missiles fall in the commercial area, which wipes out a few of miami's citizens, but fortunately most are not at the commerical district, which means the main damage is to offices, All Missourian Rebels citizens are being moved inland towards missouri itself, where the Defenses become stronger. All Defensive units are moved back, tanks are going to hold back the units long enough for the delicate computers at the STRATCOM base are moved to the capital.

Some satellites are taken down, in fact most, but enough communications satellites stay online for the army to keep in touch. SR-71 stealth recon planes fly night missions to find enemy positions, then are modified to carry missiles, and dive bomb the enemy positions (Seeing as if we just fired it our planes would outrun the missiles).

THe Untouched airbase at Springfield, the pinnacle of Missourian existance, was where all of the remaining aircraft were being Held, "Order Strike One, Blast Three."

Suddenly a few large ICBMs blast into the sky, nearly fifty of them, They start to come down, but explode in the high atmosphere (Yes, this is a MW2 type thing I'm starting) Suddenly Lights go out all over the Missourian rebels, except for springfield, where the electronics were protected by Faraday Cages. The EMP Bursts all throughout missourian rebels, cutting off all Electronics in the missourian rebels, This wasn't going to be easy for the Enemy Soldiers. As the blast rings out, a few missourian commandos rush out of their base in 4 humvees that had been protected by a faraday cage, they had what most enemy troops didn't have, a vehicle. They spin up the miniguns as they move towards virginia, they were gonna get revenge, as much as they could.

In joint Allied command various officers of the various navies just shook their heads at the incompetence and ineptitude of the Missourian Rebels high command. Naval warfare was not like ground warfare the was no cover, no "stealthy positions". Even when out of visible range ships gave their positions way by acoustically and electromagnetically. The Missourian Leadership had sacrificed their Aegis class vessels by firing on the Allied Satellites. Even if the Aegis vessels had off loaded all their VLS ordnance for ASAT ordnance they would only be able to target one out of six of the Allied sats firing from a fixed or semi fixed surface position. Then there was the issue of engagement. The Sats orbit in what are referred to as constellations. The objects in the constellations would be traveling at a speed of 22,783 mph (36,667 km/h) but unlike the failed USA 193 sat the the old US Navy had destroyed in 2008 the Allied sats paths were not known to the Missourians, though they were plot-able. They were not in a state of decaying orbit so their altitudes were higher, and a large number were of the KH-12 generation or better. As soon as the Missourian SM-3 left the VLS launchers on their vessels the missiles were detected nearly a dozen Space based sats and dozens of surface and airborne radar systems. The KH-12 generation and greater systems allowed their system controllers to fire manoeuvrings thrusters thous varying the path of the Sats, increasing the difficulty. Some of the SM-3 struck home but more missed than hit! Lack of knowledge was going to be the death of even more Missourians.

"Vampire Vampire Vampire" when out the call over the allied tac net as soon as the launches were detected. EmINt and SigInt systems registering and recording, and triangulating the firing and tracking radars of the Missourian Rebel Aegis systems. For the Missourians to even stand a chance of hitting they had to keep their systems live and hot. They needed to track both the targets and the missiles to even stand the slightest chance and this would be their undoing! This painted big bright bulleyes on them!

Mere minutes after the launch on the sats, five Oscar class subs of the NW Canadian Navy were with in range. Sister ships to the one one that had targeted the fuel storage sites in Florida. The five Oscars fired 24 P-700 (SS-N-19) cruise misses apiece at the Aegis ships from five different vectors. Traveling at nearly Mach 2 the surface skimming missiles would be hard to detect and target but not impossible. The fact that the missiles were coming in at five different vectors would realistically cut the capability to target all the missiles to a fifth as the defenses would have to attempt to track and lock five different vectors with 24 missiles coming in on each vector. Now here was the catch that would bight the Missourians in their collective butts, if they had been serious about attacking the Allied Satellites and did a maximum load-out of ASAT weapons then their main defense against the incoming missiles was not there! If they had only had a portion of the VLS cells dedicated to ASAT they still had a potent but not invulnerable defense against the cruises but they would have destroyed even less of the Allied Sats and gave away their potions for nothing!!! As the leaders of the Missourians failed to remember or pay heed to, it takes hours to reload VLS systems, and a source of reloads as the VLS are their own single shot magazines. If at sea special munitions ships with specialized cranes are required to reload the cells. Even at dock cranes would be required to load the missiles.The narrow vision of the leadership just cost the Rebels more of a finite resource for little gain! At nearlly the same time as the Oscars fired, three Akula IIs, four Improved Mod Tangos, and two Improved Mod Kilos fired their own cruise missiles, four 3M-54E1 KlubS apiece. Fourth Generation cruise missiles with low probability of detection characteristics designed to punch through Aegis shields of the US Navy and destory her carriers. Now the Missourian ships had to deal with 36 even more lethal missiles on nine additional vectors. Rapidly the facts of the math were showing a result of pain for the Rebels as there was getting to be more inbound than they could possibly have missiles to intercept with.

As the sub launched cruises tracked their targets, the land based Tels containing the DF-21D Anti-ship Ballistic missiles fired! The DF-21 ballistic missile carried a conventional warhead designed to shatter carrier sized vessels. Vessels the size of the Missourians would be pulverized. Thirty six new targets for the rebels to contend with but only ASAT version of their missiles had any chance of touching the inbound DF-21s.. Again the math turned even worse for the Missourians. They had inbound coming in on sixty four separate vectors with some of the inbound only being able to be targeted by specific weapons further limiting the rapidly dwindling chance of the Missourian ships surviving. The firing of the various types of weapons was not haphazard or from the hip as the Missourian commanders were acting. Each type of round was fired in a specific order to achieve a coordinated TOT (time on target). This is when all fired rounds arrive at their target zone at the same time to maximize carnage. To add insult to injury the Missourian Commanders made the same mistake as the Italians did at the Battle of Taranto. They had their ships in the confines of coastal waters. This prevented them from using their maximum ability to evade and buy precious seconds for their defenses. The Aegis vessels of the Missourians would be destroyed or gutted beyond service this day due to the miss planing of their leadership.

The Missourian Air Force A-10s, F-22s, and F/A-35s were airborne at the time of the idiotic EMP air bursts over Missourian Air space! These aircraft are not shielded from EMP effects! Neither were the Missourian Predators! Without their dedicated electronics the designs of the F-22 and the F/A-35 are unstable by nature and why they are referred to as smart fly by wire aircraft as it takes hundreds of adjustments per minute by the flight computers to the aircraft's' control surfaces to allow them to fly. Take this way and you have the air full of very expensive bricks plummeting to the ground! Again sheer genius on the part of the Rebels leadership! The Rebel M1s that were deployed (OCC: as per previous MR post) along with their LCAC now sat motionless as their crews tried to futilely try and repair their electronic control systems. These too are not by design shielded from EMP, and being in the field not in any cages bore the full effects of the burst. A few would be repairable but the majority of them were fried due to the Missourian keen military strategy. Another finite resource that was wasted by the rebels themselves. (OCC: As per MR post) The rest of Missourian Rebel territory went black.. Only Springfield had systems of Communications, and online sensors. The rest of their forces had their systems fried and were left blind, deaf and virtually isolated.

Telling them that the missiles had not hit their designated targets but civilian buildings. They knew all to well that Kh-15s fired at them were very very accurate as they were designed by the Russians to take out by pin point strikes the US missile silos and had CEP (Circular Error probability)of 20 to 15 meters. Only a fool would believe other wise that these missiles would miss by what the Missourian Field commanders had reported. The CEP of the HRC missiles was an unknown but being that they were fourth generation they too would be superbly accurate. The missiles did horrendous damage to their intended targets realistically.

A comprehesive radar system allowed the Whale-Class Heavy Cruiser to located the Aegis cruiser. The craft turned its missile ports and fired. Bright blue bolts streaked towards the craft at Mach 3. The four missiles detonated directly in front of the bridge, propellers, forward gun and helicopter. An intermittent EMP blst also shook the boat. The same story was repeated up the coast, and New Hayesalian allies made sure the ships were sunk.

The gunner re-selected the form of Trident. Anti-Air, M3+ Variant. It fired and shot towards the enemy Blackbird at Mach 2.8- slower than the Blackbird. But, just as the Blackbird came into view, the missile exploded into shrapnel, firing thousangs of high-explosive shells toward the Blackbird, which was going too fast to escape.

They smashed against the outside of the craft,attaching themselves, injecting a form or highly corrosive acid and exploding. If it didn't kill the Blackbird, it was gonna slow it down.

NW Canadian field commanders got the updated status board info and mission orders. New Hayesalia was prepping to start to bombard the Missourian Rebels from orbit using kinetic kill ordnance. The speed and force of the impact was similar in concept to a meteor strike, and it was conventional in nature. New Hayesalia had sent out messages to the Missourian civilians in the area to evacuate over the internet. NW Canadian command was worried that this would not suffice as they didn't not know to what effect the self destructive EMP blast would have had to their internet service, nor to what decree the fanatics had it filtered. If the situation allowed they would conduct very high altitude high speed overflights and drop parachute retarded dispensors containing leaflets with the New Hayesalia warning.

Out in the Atlantic aircraft and helicopters operating from Allied ships probed along the Missourian Rebel coast. Where pockets of resistance were discovered a variation of the corkscrew-blow torch tactic was employed. Aircraft deployed cluster munitions followed by FAE and Therobaric bombs. Small groups of suicidal idiots in Hummers armed with miniguns and other small arms only gave their positions away as they fired on Allied aircraft that were out of range.

Deploying from Modified Ivan Rogov class landing ships and modified S-class container ships that were functioning as AFSB (Afloat Forward Staging Base) NW Canadian Sea Apache Sea Hinds and VTOL CF-35 JSFs were operating in hunter killer teams. The support ships stayed far out to sea with the rest of the allied armada and the carrier air-cover. Mi-26 Halo heavy lift cargo helicopters would follow the gunships in carrying deployable fuel bladders and additional troops to provide security. Each Mi-26 could carry forty troops and two CAAV-3 (Airborne Armored Vehicles). Once over land they would proceed to a designated location and set up a temporary secured and fortified FARP (Forward Arming and Refueling Point) from which the gunships could operate, and after a set period they would pull out destroying anything left behind. The Sea Apache and the Sea Hinds complemented each other and the Hinds being able to carry squads from one of the NW Canadian Special Operations Regiments. Either the aircraft or the troops would designate targets for airstrikes or if within 24 km (35km if using RAP rounds) of the shore fire support from the NW Canadian Cruiser. This allowed for deep penetrating raids and very efficient strikes against the murderous child killing Missourian Fanatics.

The Kirov Design Valkyrie IDS is a single-seat, twin-engine, low observability multirole fighter, that can perform close air support, tactical bombing, and air defense missions. The Valkyrie is highly maneuverable, at both supersonic and subsonic speeds. It is extremely departure-resistant, enabling it to remain controllable at extreme pilot inputs. The Valkyrie's thrust vectoring nozzles allow the aircraft to turn tightly, and perform extremely high alpha (angle of attack) maneuvers such as the Herbst maneuver (or J-turn), Pugachev's Cobra, and the Kulbit, though the J-Turn is more useful in combat. Airframe:
The Valkyrie has earned the nickname Devils Cross due to its wing design. A substantial part of the lift generated by the forward-swept wing occurs at the inner portion of the wingspan. The lift is not restricted by wingtip stall. The ailerons - the wing's control surfaces - remain effective at the highest angles of attack, and controllability of the aircraft is retained even in the event of airflow separating from the remainder of the wings' surface.

The wing panels are constructed of nearly 90% composites reinforced with carbon nanotube doped carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The forward-swept midwing has a low aspect ratio, which contributes to speed and maneuverability. The leading-edge root extensions blend smoothly to the wing panels, which are fitted with deflectable slats on the leading edge; flaps and ailerons on the trailing edge.

The downside of such a wing design is that it produces strong rotational forces that try to twist the wings off, especially at high speeds. This twisting necessitates the use of a large amount of composites in order to increase the strength and durability of the wing. The thrust vectoring of ±20° at in pitch and 5° yaw will greatly support the agility gained by the forward-swept-wings.

The Valkyrie has extremely high agility at subsonic speeds, enabling the aircraft to alter its angle of attack and its flight path very quickly while retaining maneuverability in supersonic flight. Maximum turn rates, and the upper and lower limits on airspeed for weapon launch, are important criteria in terms of combat superiority. The Valkyrie has very high levels of maneuverability with maintained stability and controllability at extreme angles of attack. Maximum turn rates are important in close combat and also at medium and long range, when the mission may involve engaging consecutive targets in different sectors of the airspace.

The swept-forward wing provides a number of advantages:

The Valkyrie IDS design places a much higher degree of importance on low observance throughout the entire spectrum of sensors including radar signature, visual, infrared, acoustic, and radio frequency then previous generation LGDS fighters. Consequently, the Valkyrie IDS has a low radar signature that is due to a combination of factors, including special shaping techniques that include double curvature surfaces, the use of radar absorbent material, and attention to detail such as hinges and pilot helmets that could provide a radar return.

The Valkyrie has been designed to disguise its infrared emissions to make it harder to detect by infrared homing ("heat seeking") surface-to-air or air-to-air missiles. For example, new ceramic-matrix RAM is utilized on the engine exhaust nozzles to reduce radar and IR signatures. Additionally, a complicated series of paints and coatings are used to meet both RCS and infra-red suppression requirements. A new type of paint, or topcoat, increases the Valkyrie’s stealthiness by reducing its vulnerability to infrared threats. The topcoat protects the aircraft against a broad range of wavelengths and uses metal oxides for optimal radar cross section compatibility.

Engine:
The Valkyrie IDS is powered by two ALTECH 25 thrust vectoring afterburning engines. Each ALTECH 25 produces 23,780 lbf (105.78 kN) of dry thrust and 35,000lbs lbf (155 kN) of thrust with afterburner. The 3D thrust vectoring gives the Valkyrie higher maneuverability with each nozzle capable of ±20° in the pitch and 5° yaw axis.

Avionics:
The Valkyrie shares the Chimera ATF sensor suite. It’s AN/APG-7 AESA look down shoot down radar, designed by Nemesis Electronic Systems is augmented by the Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS) mounted under the nose of the aircraft. The AN/APG-7 provides positive target identification, autonomous tracking of all targets in range, coordinate generation, and precise weapons guidance from extended standoff ranges as great as 200 miles.

The AN/APG-7 is designed for air superiority and strike operations and features a low-observable, active-aperture, electronically-scanned array that can track multiple targets in any weather. The AN/APG-7 changes frequencies more than 2,000 times per second to reduce the chance of being intercepted. The radar can also use complicated search patterns that reduce the chance of detection.

The radar can also focus its emissions to overload enemy sensors, giving the aircraft an electronic-attack capability. The AN/APG-7 transmits data at the rate of 600 Megabit per second while receiving data at 1 gigabit per second. This is the Valkyrie's primary connection to the combat network system.

Three Nemesis Electronic Systems Common Integrated Processing Units (CIPU)s are the “brains” of the Valkyrie avionics. Each CIPU can process 13.1 billion instructions per second and has 1 gigabyte of memory. Each CIPU, which is the size of an oversized bread box, supports all signal and data processing for all sensors and mission avionics. Additionally, information can be gathered from the radar and other onboard and offboard systems, filtered by the CIPU, and offered in easy-to-digest ways on several cockpit displays, enabling the pilot to remain on top of complicated situations.

The avionics include the AN/ALR-9 radar warning receiver which is a passive receiver system capable of detecting the radar signals in the environment. The AN/ALR-9 is composed of more than 30 antennas smoothly blended into the wings and fuselage that provide all around coverage plus azimuth and elevation information. The AN/ALR-9 has been demonstrated detecting radars at ranges as long as 400 nmi and enables the Valkyrie to limit its own radar emission to preserve its stealth. As a target approaches, the receiver can cue the AN/APG-7 radar to track the target with a narrow beam, which can be as focused down to 1° by 1° in azimuth and elevation.

The Electronic Optical Targeting System (EOTS) include a laser designator and tracker (60,000' attitude) for guiding laser-guided bombs, cryogenically cooled FLIR receiver and CCD television cameras mounted under the nose of the aircraft. Eight additional passive infrared sensors are distributed over the aircraft as part of Nemesis Electronic Systems' AN/AAQ-7 distributed aperture system (DAS), which acts as a missile warning system, reports missile launch locations, detects and tracks approaching aircraft spherically around the Valkyrie, and replaces traditional night vision goggles for night operations and navigation. All DAS functions are performed simultaneously, in every direction, at all times.

Sensor fusion combines data from all onboard and offboard sensors into a common view to prevent the pilot from being overwhelmed. The cockpit is all glass without any conventional instruments. Three multi-function heads down displays are the center pieces of the glass cockpit. The Symmetriad AHG-1 helmet features the latest avionics systems, including a full projected helmet-mounted display, active noise cancellation, and a filtered microphone to improve the work of voice control systems mounted display system replaces the conventional heads up display.

The DVI system by Nemesis Incorporated is a speaker-dependent system that provides the pilot command and control of non-critical cockpit functions, to reduce pilot workload, improve aircraft safety, and expand mission capabilities. Confirmation of voice commands is either visual or aural. Emergency escape is by a Symmetriad Laertes IV Advanced Ejection Seat. Pilots wear Symmetriad AMS-4 g-suits with built-in air management and health monitoring systems.

The Valkyrie IDS uses combined radio frequency and infrared (SAIRST) situational awareness to track all nearby aircraft continually with the pilot's helmet-mounted display system (HMDS) to display and select targets. This gives the Valkyrie the ability to use High Off-Boresight (HOBS) weapons to eliminate threats.

The Valkyrie uses fibre optic cabling and circuitry is composed of Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) for protection against electromagnetic interference or EMP attack where possible. Additional protections are provided by utilization of antennas and power connections with surge protectors designed specifically to defend against EMP attack, the cockpit is coated with a conductive coating, and all doors and wiring/tubing pathways through protective shielding is sealed with conductive gaskets.

Armaments:
Armaments include an internal 20 mm (0.787 in) M31A2 six-barreled, air-cooled, electrically fired Gatling-style cannon, which fires 20 mm rounds at 6600 rpm in starboard wing root with 500 rounds, and an internal bomb bay for up to 6× Spike AMRAAM and 2× Spectre BVRAAM or other weaponry. At the expense of being more detectable by radar, many more missiles, bombs and fuel tanks can be attached on four wing pylons and two near wingtip positions (10,000lbs per wing).

Countermeasures:
Countermeasures include the Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars which can act as an ECM device to track, locate and eventually jam enemy radar. The electronic attack capability is developed enough that a Valkyrie IDS can burn out unshielded electronics. 60 flares and 60 chaff are carried in two side mounted dispensers.

Overview:
The Chimera ATF was a child of the X-17 and X-19 concepts put forth during the fighter trials that led to the adoption of the Valkyrie IDS. In that competition the X-17 and X-19 both took the path of high stealth and capable electronic suites while the Valkyrie IDS took the path of maneuverability and low observability. The Valkyrie won that competition due to its exceptional dog fighting characteristics, its powerful electronics and its overall survivability.

The governments parameters for the Advanced Tactical Fighter were to develop an aircraft with the ability to operate from carriers and take the fight to the enemy. This meant that the aircraft would often be forced to penetrate heavily defended enemy areas. The ability to conducted lengthy combat air patrols were also an important consideration. The aircraft needed all weather operation, an effective strike ability with the use of stand off weapons preferred and the ability to penetrate heavily defended enemy air defenses.

Rushing Aircraft Company borrowed from its X-17. Rushing married a slippery high stealth airframe to the electronics package, including LPI radar and multi-spectral sensors, used in the Valkyrie thus cutting development cost. Rushing also developed a digital electronic warfare ability by attached wing pods. Though Rushing would go far beyond an updated X-17 by taking a look at a test craft called the Hummingbird.



The Hummingbird was a tailless research aircraft designed to determine the feasibility of thrust vectoring and tailless design that flew in the early 90's. The Hummingbird had proven its design in over 500 test flights and managed to achieve controlled flight at a 70° angle of attack.

The Hummingbird design had an inherently lower RCS then aircraft with tails. Therefore, Rushing decided to build their ATF from the ground up to be a tailless stealth aircraft. In initial test and comparisons the Chimera ATF showed a superior ability to penetrate enemy air defense. Stealth, super maneuverability and electronics give the Chimera respectable air to air capability.

Airframe:
There are two broad aspects of RCS minimization techniques. One falls under the effort to restructure the frame, and covers the geometric design considerations that are taken into account when aiming for a low RCS. The other principle is referred to as “radar absorbent materials” and is concerned with the materials that help to reduce the reflectivity of the airframe, as well as the structures that will support these materials and integrate them into the airframe often referred to as “Radar-absorbent structures”. These two path are of course not taken in isolation during the design; trade-offs have to be made between them in the design of the Chimera.

The most efficient way to reflect radar waves back to the transmitting radar is with orthogonal metal plates, forming a corner reflector consisting of either a dihedral or a trihedral. This configuration occurs in the tail of a conventional aircraft, where the vertical and horizontal components of the tail are set at right angles. To reduce this effect the Chimera was designed as a tailless airplane.

This tailless design results in an exceptionally maneuverable aircraft with outstanding low observability features. The fuselage and canopy have sloping sides. The canopy seam, bay doors and other surface interfaces are saw-toothed. The engine face is deeply hidden by a serpentine inlet duct and weapons are carried internally.

The tailless design utilizes a modified Lambda wing design mounted at the rear of the aircraft and supported by a slight delta shaping which moves towards the aircraft cockpit. The wing is constructed of nearly 90% composites reinforced with carbon nanotube doped carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The Chimera can maintain a constant angle of attack of over 60° and utilizes split ailerons, deflectable slats on the leading edge, thrust vectoring and a powerful fly by optics system.

The Chimera was designed with low observance throughout the entire spectrum of sensors including radar signature, visual, infrared signature, acoustic, and radio frequency as primary considerations. The low radar signature is due to a combination of factors which include special shaping techniques that include double curvature surfaces, the use of radar absorbent material, and attention to detail such as hinges and pilot helmets that could provide a radar return.

The engines use radar-absorbent material-coated S-shaped intake ducts that shield the compressor fan from reflecting radar waves. The intakes are designed through careful shaping of the airflow to prevent engine surge resulting in a compressor stall to enhance the top speed of the aircraft and performance at high angles of attack.

To disguise its infrared emissions and make it harder to detect by infrared homing surface-to-air or air-to-air missiles the Chimera uses a new ceramic-matrix RAM on its engine exhaust nozzles that is designed to reduce both the radar and IR signatures. Additionally, the aircraft uses a complicated series of paints and coatings. A new type of paint, or topcoat, first used to increase the Valkyrie's stealthiness by reducing its vulnerability to infrared threats is also applied to the Chimera. The topcoat protects the aircraft against a broad range of wavelengths and uses metal oxides for optimal radar cross section compatibility.

The Chimera is 40% titanium, 30% composite, 20% aluminum and 1% thermoplastic by weight. Titanium is used for its high strength-to-weight ratio in critical stress areas, including some of the bulkheads, and also for its heat-resistant qualities in the hot sections of the aircraft where it is combined with thermal coatings. Carbon-fiber composites have been used for the fuselage frame, the doors, the wings, and for the honeycomb sandwich construction of its skin panels.

The Chimera with its inherently unstable tailless design and 3D thrust vectoring is more maneuverable and agile than other fighters. In addition, the tailless design reduces the weight, drag and radar cross section of the aircraft. The Chimera includes a tailhook, concealed in a bay when not in use, to effect carrier landings.

The Chimera is tough and resistant to engine surge even during extreme maneuvers like classic, inverted and flat spins. This results in an aircraft capable of greater reliability and maneuverability. The Chimera is capable of performing a 180 degree turn. With such a high angle of attack the plane retains control and can perform such maneuvers as the Herbst maneuver, Pugachev's Cobra, and the Kulbit. The Chimera thrust vectoring nozzles, fly by optic system and tailless design allow the aircraft to turn tightly, and perform extremely high alpha (angle of attack) maneuvers.

Engine:
Thrust is provided by two ALTECH 30 low bypass turbofans with afterburning. The ALTECH 30 features 3D thrust vectoring technology. These engines allow the Chimera to fly in a different direction to where the nose is pointing. The nozzles can be pointed 32 degrees in either direction on the y axis, and 15 degrees in either direction on the x axis. The engine generates a larger thrust and has a complex automation system, to facilitate flight modes such as maneuverability. Each engine can independently vector its thrust upwards, downward or side to side. Vectoring one engine up with the other one down can produce a twisting force. Each ALTECH 30 produces 30,550 lbf (135.89 kN) of dry thrust and 42,000lbs lbf (186.82 kN) of thrust with afterburner.

The fuel is cooled to reduced temperatures which are substantially less than ambient temperature so that the volume of the fuel is reduced. The fuel is then stored in the fuel tanks while the fuel is at the reduced temperatures with the reduced volume of the fuel thereby allowing more fuel to be held. A further benefit of this method of fueling is that the energy value of the fuel per unit volume is increased. The onboard fuel cooling system uses liquid nitrogen as a fuel coolant. The refrigerated fuel system provides for more power and increased range through enhanced efficiency and greater fuel volume.

The refrigerated fuel is used to actively cool the aircraft leading edges and its engines tail pipes. This active cooling increases the aircraft resistance to infra-red tracking substantially. Not only does the aircraft have a very low RCS but it is much harder to track by heat seeking weapons. Both factors contribute to an aircraft that can get closer to the enemy and deeper into enemy air space.

Avionics:
The Chimera ATF shares the AN/APG-7 Active Electronically Scanned Array designed by Nemesis Electronic Systems for the Valkyrie IDS. The AN/APG-7 provides positive target identification, autonomous tracking of all targets in range, coordinate generation, and precise weapons guidance from extended standoff ranges as great as 200 miles (321 km). The radar features 15 kw of peak power and 120° Azimuth and elevation.

Designed for air superiority and strike operations, the AN/APG-7 features a low-observable, active-aperture, electronically-scanned array that can track 100 targets in any weather. The AN/APG-7 changes frequencies more than 2,000 times per second to reduce the chance of being intercepted. The radar can also use complicated search patterns that reduce the chance of detection.

The AN/APG-77 has a dedicated high resolution Synthetic-aperture radar mode. The radar can also focus its emissions to overload enemy sensors, giving the Chimera an electronic-attack capability. The AN/APG-7 transmits data at the rate of 600 Megabit per second while receiving data at 1 gigabit per second. This is the Chimera's primary connection to the combat network system. The aircraft also contains a dedicated SATCOM module to provide for combat network connectivity even on deep strike missions.

The CL-32 Buitre is a 5.5th generation, modular seat, single-engine, short take-off and landing, stealth, medium air superiority fighter, which possess limited point defense interception capabilities and can perform both land and carrier-based missions, designed and manufactured by the AEROCON Aerospace Industries Confederation and engineered for a balance between stealth and agility. It was intended as a more logistically flexible and cost-effective replacement for the aging and costly F-22 Raptor, and capable of a much greater degree of force projection than the former. The CL-32 has two different models, a fully dedicated air superiority variant, and a cheaper variant able to conduct limited air-to-ground strikes at the expense of a less stealthy internal bay(CL-32E). The CL-32 early version used a passive radar as its main targeting system, while newer versions have an active radar capability as well, and can lock simultaneously on two different targets.

The CL-32 is based upon the CLEX-32, one of the two prototypes built for the Confederacy Light Fighter Program(CLFP), although as a full-fledged design, it does not share any fuselage or airframe modules with its predecessor, making of its airframe an integral cranked-arrow delta wing. It was entirely developed and funded by the AEROCON. Its prototype flew in 2036, while its first flight went on November 3rd, 2038.

OCC: you need to brush up on the science Sir. EMP is not a continuous effect! its a burst like a flash of a camera in which the Electromagnetic Pulse is discharged. Hence its name. when the warheads are detonated they sent out a pulse that does the damage then it subsides. it is not a continuous effect. you burst the devices over your territory. all aircraft that you are speaking of were not in your terrority and are either new arrivals or have attacked using stand off weapons. You are correct though about ships being shielded to various degrees to EMP effects but it that shielding is dependent on the distance from the burst and the design of the ship.

Until all of the invading forces have withdrawn from Missourian Rebels' land and made reparations for the damages caused by their unlawful war, Killbraun will be issuing a a trade embargo on all of the invading nations.

In order to aid the innocent citizens of Missourian Rebels, Killbraun will be 100 tons of food and medical supplies to Springfield. The food and medical supplies will be accompanied by an 800 man observer force of the Killbraunian Asymmetrical Warfare Division and 60,000 Citizen's Defense Force Kits (CDFK's).

The CDFK's are prepackaged kits designed to provide ordinary citizens of MR with everything they need to defend their property. Each kit will consist of the following:

Hopefully, the knowledge that the populace of MR is armed and trained to resist a foreign occupation will discourage the coalition of invading states from proceeding with their ill-advised war of conquest.

As the resistance of the Missourian Rebels was isolated in the other states out side of Missouri and the baby killing religious fanatics exterminated, the local of the states started to welcome the Allied forces as liberators. They had been a population held in terror by blood thirsty religious barbarians. The only support it appeared within the region that the Missourians was from forces from the region of Missouri. Allied forces in the liberated regions were starting to have to intercede to prevent local blood baths at times as the local populace started to take its revenge on local religious zealots that were collaborators with the Missourians. The older NW Canadian NCOs and Officers had done peacekeeping in the Balkans and east Timor and had seen the types of atrocities perpetrated on the civilians before. The targeted killings of those that were not of the blind twisted beliefs of the Missourian Rebels. The burnings and looting of the occupied population by Missourian forces when their region was first over come. The torture and worse to innocent woman and children due to their race and or religion. All atrocities the leader of the Missourian Rebels had publicly and proudly admitted to. Numbers of volunteer scouts and guides offered their services to the Allied forces. Directing them to caches and safe-houses. Helping to root the evil of the Missourians from their communities.

A number of nations had forces in the liberated territories and were helping the civilians. NW Canadian forces as they moved in made sure they did whatever they could without jeopardizing the mission to aid these Peacekeepers and the civilians. The nation of Killbraun had made offers of aid to the Missourian Rebels. The militiamen gather up in the woods, go over their plan one more time and split up, the Professional National Guardsmen move to positions in sloughs and forests, about 10 of the amateur(it means unpaid, not bad, these guys are actually pretty good at their Job) miltia move out into the five mirrored duckblinds. RPGs are loaded in the duck blinds, and Hunting rifles are modfied to pack a bigger punch. about 8,000 men in all take place in this, the women at home with shotguns protecting the children.
