A new Discovery. (Open) MT.

(OOC: This is a map of a new are I have created/found. It is currently closed to all but members of the COAN, and 1 other exception I am planning to make. Will it be open? It could be open to all, but only when I fell that the COAN are done with it.)

A new landmass had been discovered. All across the empire business men, scientists and people looking for a new start rejoiced with glee. It presented a new source of wealth, fauna, animals and fresh starts.

Key:

Yellow dots = Gold.
Pink dots = Iron.
Brown dots = Copper.
Grey dots = Diamonds.
White dots = Limestone.
Red dots = Gas.
Black dots = Oil.
Dark green dots = Oil.

RULES:

1. All Oil and Gas profits from offshore drilling are to be split equally between the members of the COAN.
2. At the moment 1 sector per nation, unless I say otherwise.
3. The 2 large Islands are already mine, along with sector 7.
4. Nations are allowed to impose Tariffs on goods and trade from other sectors.
5. 1 of the small Islands near the main landmass is currently reserved.
6. The 2 small islands together count as 1 area, however I may be willing to divide them. If the person doesn't want to claim the 3rd small island it will be joined to the other 2 as a sector.
7. Rivers do count as boundaries.
8. The lake and rivers are controlled by no-one. However, one standard law regarding water sports, usage, fishing, etc will be established over it. If a nation want's to build a bridge across from sector to another, they must ask permission.

General info:
The actual area is relatively big. Each sector could easily support millions of people. It is currently uninhabited.
The land is quite fertile and flat, with only small rolling hills. The main two mountains are on the large Islands I control.

IMPORTANT: I WILL BE MAKING A MEMBER LIST IN THE SECOND POST TO FOLLOW. I WILL UPDATE IT. IF YOU WAN'T TO CLAIM LAND PLEASE TG SO THAT I CAN UPDATE THE LIST RATHER THAN HAVE TO TRAWL THROUGH AND POTENTIALLY MISS OUT PEOPLE.

If you wan't to star RP-ing your arrival, first steps, etc feel free to do so, however if you don't want that's fine, we can just assume that it is building up.

Also, please avoid posting 1 or two liners. At least 4 lines per post please. You also won't need to copy the map.

The first detachments of The Matthew Islands had arrived. A military presence and a lot of civilian contractors, surveyors and engineers. After establishing landing parties on the two main Islands, a smaller detachment went to the mainland.

The first orders of business varied for each group. For the soldiers, mostly consisting of military engineers, it was the establishment of a temporary camp until something more permanent could be developed. For the civilian engineers and prospectors it was finding the future sites.

And thus the Empire began its first true expansion. The vessels made their way across the oceans with haste, guided by a good number of Fleets. The Empire had finally found a way to begin easing the problem with overpopulation, and such a simple fix! Perhaps less then a few days now the first military vessels would arrive, setting the ground work for future teams and civilians to build upon.

And quite a many civilians would be arriving. Perhaps a few million people had requested to be moved to the new territories, most of them knowing quite well the basic work of labor and such. A few of the upper class would be going, either for scenery or for the chance to perhaps become Lords of their own large estates. Some would be required to move, either permanently or temporarily, to help in the major construction projects and defense of the new lands. Whatever their reasons, the citizens of Marzeron would be getting ready to leave.
