Curiosity (almost) killed the cat (MT/CLOSED Attn. Saurisia)

[Saurisia]

The receptionist snapped her attention towards the Humans, then she sighed and replied "Yes..." she then walked towards where the mayor was.

When she entered the room the Mayor was in, she said to the giant Sauropod "Mayor Fredrickson, there appears two men claiming to be the Vice President and Chief General of the Armed Forces of Anagonia. They wish to speak with you."

This caused the Mayor to panic, straightening out her dress, trying to look as nice as possible for the foreigners. Once she was ready, she told the receptionist "Tell them I'm ready" to which the Coelophysis nodded and returned back to the Anagonians.

She said to them "The Mayor is ready to see you"

[Anagonia]

(That poor woman, all she wanted was a nice day XD)

Oscar Vladinchi nodded to the receptionist and thanked her, walking into the room where the Mayor was. Before he spoke he also straightened his uniform. His personal Marine guard fell back seeing no danger, going back outside the front door. Once they had left and the Mayor and himself were alone, he smiled at her and nodded his head in acknowledgment. "Mayor Fredrickson, I am Oscar Vladinchi." He began in greeting, "Under constitutional law within the Confederate States, I am the duly elected Vice President and appointed Chief General of the Confederate Armed Forces." Letting that sink in that one man controlled the show here he continued, "I have approved of our military to establish a temporary base on your island where the airfield is. This was because of our first contact and my belief that urgency was needed to secure a place on the diplomatic spectrum." He smiled, "A fleet from your mainland approved our passage, so I assume that you will to." He waved to the outside, "However I am quick to note the reaction of the people of the island and have therefore come to speak to you."

Going silent for a moment so she could register all that, he nodded at her. "Mrs. Mayor, we come in peace. If you seek out departure, we shall leave. I desire however a mutual conference between myself and your people so they may know we are not invaders. In this manner I believe we can continue our first contact in peace." He extended a hand to her in a peaceful gesture, "What say you Mayor Fredrickson?"

[Saurisia]

"I say... yes, I agree to this..." extending her own hand.

Then, she added "Although, I have to inform the President of our own country about this afterwords."

[Anagonia]

Oscar took her hand and shook it. "Absolutely!"

He smiled, "I would love to meet your President if at all possible." He let go of her hand after the shake. "I don't mean to be a bother, Mrs. Mayor, it is just that I would like to get the message quickly across that we mean no harm."

[Saurisia]

Fredrickson nodded "Oh yes! I will see if I can contact him soon enough!"

[Anagonia]

"Great!" His smile was genuine, especially for someone who looked like he did. It was a hearty smile, one which assured people things were alright. He slapped his hands together satisfied with the situation, "Perfect then. You know where we are located, so I will not bother you with that. Until then, is there any day coming up we can do a conference with your citizens to answer questions and concerns? I'd like get to know you a little better."

[Saurisia]

"Um, yeah sure! A conference sounds good, and I will definitely try to contact the President, and see if he can come here!"

[Anagonia]

Oscar nodded, smiling. "Thank you Mrs. Fredrickson. Don't let me hold you up anymore."

With that he started to exit. Heading for his vehicle and back to Camp Richards where he'd rest for the evening.

Margaret smiled and replied "No, that's alright!"

After Oscar left, she picked up the phone and dialed the President's number, hoping to get through to him.

Presidential Mansion, Saurus City

Sally Ferguson, President Foot's secretary, sat at her desk, filing paperwork. Her blue eyes were half-open, indicating that she was worn out from the difficult job of being the President's secretary. Suddenly, her phone rang, much to her frustration, as she had to answer thousands of phone calls. Nevertheless, she picked it up, and asked "Hello?"

The Mayor, calling Ferguson, asked "May I speak to President Foot"

Ferguson sighed "Mr. President's off attending a military parade with his assistant, the Commander-in-Chief, and the Generals of the Army, he won't be back for another couple of hours."

"Well, could ya get to him so I can call him in person?"

"Sure"

"Thanks, call me once you've gotten there!" and with that, the Mayor hung up, and Ferguson left the desk, heading for Dinosaur Square.

Dinosaur Square, Downtown Saurus City

Glorious Parade

President Foot and the others watched the spectacular Military Parade in the square from a balcony. There was no special occasion, just an annual monthly sort of thing, and boy was the President excited. Soldiers marched down the square, followed up by units of tanks, IFV's, APC's, trucks, mobile artillery, and that sort of thing.

Nearby, a military band played uplifting marching music to spirit the soldiers to march on and to get the people attending in the mood to watch this grand spectacle.

When Ferguson got there, she asked a member of the SP Presidential Guard, a branch of the SP assigned to protect the President and other important leaders, if she could see the President, to which the guard nodded, letting her through to the President himself.

"Mr. Foot!" she called out, causing the Apatosaurus in his late 20's to turn towards her.

He asked her "Yes, Sally, what is it?"

"The Mayor of the isolated town of Hobston wants to talk to you." handing over her cellphone, having dialed the Mayor's number. Lyle put it up to his ear and asked "Yes?"

Margaret was overjoyed to hear the President's voice and asked "Uh, Mr. President, I wish you to come to Tricera Island immediately."

"Huh? Why?"

"Well, it seems that a group of Humans from a distant nation called 'Anagonia' have arrived on our island and wish to discuss diplomacy with us, and it seems they have their Vice President with them, so..."

Lyle frowned and replied "Well, as soon as this parade's over, I'll see if I can get into my plane and fly over to your island as soon as possible."

"Great, thanks!" cheered Fredrickson, and she hung up

Once he was done, Lyle handed the cellphone back to Ferguson, and then turned towards his best friend, assistant, and personal bodyguard Sarah McHorn, a tough yellowish-orangish-cremish Triceratops tomboy slightly older than himself, and told her "Sarah, once this parade's over, we're gonna have to head down to the Airport so we can get to Tricera Island in the plane."

"Huh? Why?" asked the confused Triceratops

"Apparently, some Humans from a country called Anagonia arrived on the island and one who's apparently their Vice President wishes to open up negotiations with our country."

"Oh, brilliant" Sarah commented, rolling her Emerald eyes in annoyance "You know, I get airsick!"

"Yeah, but you're also seasick, and apparently you're also carsick too judging by what happened that one time."

"I'm not carsick, I just ate some rotten apples that didn't agree with my stomach!"

"I'm pretty sure that's what it is" Lyle replied, rolling his crimson eyes in amusement, then turning to face the square, going back to viewing the parade.

[Anagonia]

Back at Camp Richards Patton Nuth had woken from his four hour long nap. He freshened up at the provided showers and put on his civil clothes and checked in with command. Afterward he grabbed the keys and got into the Land Rover. Before he could start it up, however, the passenger side door opened and Richard Kobra plopped into the seat. Patton was about to object but the Chief Paleontologist raised his hand. "Dun even stard Pattun," he said in his australian tone. "I ain' gonna leave you a mess like this. Just drive."

The Sergeant sighed, putting the Defender into gear and backing up onto the road, driving towards god knows where. He wanted to go towards the city, but he figured he might see her again and after being dumped so easily he didn't want to bruise his ego anymore today. Before Patton could make up his mind, Richard looked over to him. "I'm starvin'. Tell you wat, I'll buy us a dinnah if you ge'us dar." Patton rather liked the sound of that, "Alright."

He headed for the town, determined to get his mind off past events and maybe catch up on what the expedition had learned.

Car ride

Tracie and Matt were driving around town in the cruiser, though with the local crime rate so low, they had little to do besides make stops at various coffee and doughnut shops. As they drove up one road, a vehicle passed by them, to which Tracie commented "Jeep"

Matt looked at the Triceratops and told her "Actually, I think that's a Land Rover."

This caused Tracie to glare at the Allosaurus and snap "Who's the car expert, you or me?"

"You" Matt replied "But are you SURE that was a jeep?"

"Eh, maybe..."

"Are you at all familiar with Land Rovers?"

"Tell ya the truth, not really"

Tracie then looked over at Matt and noticed that blood was leaking out of the bandages on his hands. She said "My God, Matt, your hands are leakin' blood!"

"Eh, it's nothing"

"Oh, it's something! Maybe we should go see a doctor, get those hands checked up"

"Fine"

With that, Tracie turned the car around and headed back towards town.

"I'm still surprised how easy it was to get Jennifer to love me, I mean, I thought it'd take much more effort than that. You kno-"

"If you don't shut, I will have to open the window to vomit, and that won't end well for the both of us, would it?"

"No, not at all"

"Than shut up!"

"Okay" Matt replied, keeping quiet the rest of the trip as they headed to the doctor to get his hands checked up.

[Anagonia]

The Land Rover arrived at its destination. Pulling into a fast food restaurant they went in and took their orders. Upon receiving them both Patton and Richard went to take a seat at the far corner of the restaurant near the windows. Patton had ordered two cheesburgers and a fry while Richards had ordered a salad. They started to eat, taking quiet sips of their drinks as they watched the traffic go by. The sun was still out and it created a serene scene outside. Peaceful in the sky, busy on the land. Business as usual.

Richard swallowed a bite of his salad, looking up to Patton. "So wat's da matta, mate? You ain' urself."

Patton sighed, "One of the locals. When her high school fascination came around she dumped me like I was shit."

"Well ain' dat a pitty," Richard said in a solemn tone. "I'ma sorry 'bout dat Patton, gal's are sum vicious predata's, ya know?"

Patton chuckled at the way he phrased that. She was a predator. But a gentle one. Noticing this Richard pressed on, "Wat was'er name, eh?"

"Jennifer," he said in response. Eating some more of his burger.

"Ah, dat dem really fiesty types mate." He chuckled, "Listen'ere, back wer' I come from we hav' a system ta do dis type of thing." He smirked, "If a gal's dumpin' ya, dun eva go for anotha' gal of da same name." He took a bite of his salad.

"I guess your right," Patton said sipping his drink. "What do I do if I meet her again?"

"I tell ya wat ya do, mate! Ya ignore dat biatch and move on, kay?" He smirked as Patton laughed finally.

[Saurisia]

Matt and Tracie stopped over at a burger joint, much to the former's chagrin.

"Why do we need to stop here?!" Matt snapped as Tracie got out of the car

"I'm hungry!"

"You're always hungry, dammit!"

It never fails, Tracie was always eating and if she wasn't eating, she had an urge to eat. Of course, she was a Triceratops and they always overeat which, considering their enormous size, was quite understandable.

Tracie peered through the open window of the driver's door and asked Matt "What do you want?"

"I dunno, a large carnivore burger and a medium Root Beer!"

"Got it. Hey, how are ya gonna eat?"

"Oh yeah" Matt replied, looking at his bleeding hands "Looks like you're gonna have to feed me yourself"

This caused Tracie to look at her partner with utter horror, as she had to feed him like a mother Dinosaur feeding her hatchlings!

She grumbled "Alright" and she walked inside the restaurant. There, she looked around, noticing the various Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs, Marine Reptiles, Prehistoric birds, Humans, and even a few lizards sitting at various tables eating various foods, their meals depending on their diets. Herbivores eating salads, carnivores eating meat-only meals, fish-eating Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs, and Marine Reptiles eating seafood, and Omnivores eating everything.

She headed towards the counter, though there was a considerable line where an Icthyosaur was attempting to find the right meal to order. This caused Tracie to grumble in frustration, as she was forced to wait in line until the Icthyosaur made up his mind.

[Anagonia]

Patton gazed over and noticed Tracie. He didn't think anything of it, yawning as he finished his meal and stood up to walk out. Richards followed. As they exited the restaurant he caught something familiar out of the corner of his eye. He looked over and in a patrol car he saw the exact same Allosaurus male that took Jennifer away. Rage suddenly filled his mind and emotion. Richards took note immediately and grabbed the Sergeant. It would have been a futile effort to stop him considering the size and strength difference, but the Paleontologist wasn't going to let the man get locked up over this silly situation. He reacted a move in training that nearly immobilized an opponent on the Sergeant saying as he did, "Ya need ta calm down, mate. He ain' worth it!"

After a few moments, Patton nodded. "Fine."

Letting go but keeping close, Richards followed Patton to the vehicle. Both getting in they drove off, Patton fuming from the ears at being so close to gratification.

[Saurisia]

Tracie looked outside to see two Humans near the police car, one looked like he was restraining the other, obviously preventing him from doing something. She simply shook her head and muttered "Humans...", then realizing the Icthyosaur at the front of the line had finally picked a meal, much to her relief.

Meanwhile, Matt watched as one Human restrained another, the latter he recognized as the Human he encountered earlier in the day, though he didn't recognize the other. He was unsure as to what the two were doing, but obviously the second Human wanted to do something that the other didn't want, though what he did not know. So, he watched as the two got back into their vehicle, which oddly looked like the Land Rover he saw earlier, and departed.

Eventually, Tracie got back outside carrying her salad, her pop, his burger, and his pop and got into the car. Matt snapped "What took you so long?"

"Ugh, this stupid Ich took so freaking long to choose a meal to order. I swear to God, if he took any longer, I would've had to shove him into one of those oven thingies that fries the fish, ya know?"

Matt chuckled at Tracie's frustration, then the big Triceratops asked him "So, did you notice those two Humans outside?"

"Well, yeah. By the way, I noticed that the Human being restrained was the same one I told you about."

"You mean the freak who did your Jennifer on the beach?!"

"That's the one!"

"God, if only I encountered him when I was inside, I would've given him a piece of my mind!"

"Heh heh, hell yeah!"

After putting the food in between the two of them and the pops in the cup holders, Tracie turned the car on, shifted it into gear and, as she backed the car out of the parking lot, she asked "What was that guy so pissed off about, anyway?"

Pff, who knows?" Matt scoffed as the car pulled out onto the road and continued on its way to the local hospital.

"Now, enough fooling around, we've gotta do something about your hands!"

"Yeah" commented Matt, looking down at his bloody bandaged hands, unaware of how close he was to being in the hospital for more than bloody hands.

[Anagonia]

Patton and Richard drove around town for a while while Patton calmed down. He had been so close to just loosing it. Richards had convinced him during their conversation that fighting over some girl, even if he had made love to her, wasn't worth it if she gave up on him so easily. He had to let go of his ego, Richard had basically explained. Patton had finally calmed down enough to see logic and they decided it was best to just cool off at a local store. Patton had pulled into the lot of a mini-mall and Richard had joined him in window shopping. Together they went in and looked around.

"Ya know mate, I think'ya need ta fin' un' of our women." Richard said as they stopped in front of a clothing shop to look. "Might'be a bit healthy, dun ya think?"

"Yea I guess," Patton said in response. "I'm just worried they might drop me to."

"Ah hell no, Pattun'." Richard smirked, "Our women dun do dat ta our men!"

Patton chuckled, walking in to look at the clothes.

[Saurisia]

Tracie and Matt eventually reach the hospital, where they get out and race inside. Eventually, after waiting a while for the doctor to see them, they got a treatment from the doctor, whom helped tend to Matt's inured hands. Once he was done, the two were off for the car. Upon getting inside and leaving the hospital parking lot, Matt asked "Do you think this will get in the way of me and Jennifer's plans for tonight?"

"Nah, I doubt it"

"You think so?"

"I know so"

Then, Tracie pulled the car in front of a mini mall "Now, if you excuse me..." Tracie said as she got out of the car "I need to go to the clothing store to get me some swimsuits."

"Wait, you swim?"

"Yeah, I do it a lot..."

Matt watched as Tracie walked into the store, then commenting "I wonder what she looks like swimming..."

As Patton and Richard entered the store, they were greeted by the clerk, a tall bright blue-skinned female Parasaurolophus, who cheerfully said to them "Why, hello, do you need anything?"

[Anagonia]

Patton started to sigh in relief, he was happy to just be doing something normal again. He smiled at the clerk as Richard wondered off to look at the mens jeans. "Yes I do," he said. "I was wondering if you had any shorts and tank tops."

[Saurisia]

The clerk smiled and said "Why, yes, we do!" she then left the counter and headed towards the part of the store where shorts and tank tops were indeed being sold.

[Anagonia]

Patton followed her and indeed saw the items he wished to purchase. He thanked the clerk and went about his business. Picking out one tank top he liked the best, he gazed over at the swim trucks. Surely he'd need some. Going over he started to browse the trunks, unaware of anyone around him.

[Saurisia]

Tracie entered the building, then approached the counter, asking the clerk "'Scuse me, do you have any female swimwear, preferably big enough to be worn by a Triceratops?"

"Why, sure!" the clerk replied "Follow me!" she left the counter, heading for the part of the store where they sold female swimwear, with Tracie following close behind.

Meanwhile, Matt stared at his hands "My God, that looks better!"

[Anagonia]

Patton had already went to the edge of the swimtrunks, right near the female swimwear. He was visible and recognizable. Completely oblivious to the clerk and her new customer. He looked at a pair, putting them to his waist and shrugging. He turned around, suddenly stopping and making contact with the Triceratops. He had seen her before...

[Saurisia]

Tracie stared at the Human right in the face, for some reason, she had seen him somewhere before, but she didn't pinpoint where. She continued to look at him closely, trying to identify him.

[Anagonia]

He shrugged, it wouldn't hurt to introduce himself. What could happen, he would get impaled by one of her horns? He scoffed at his thought, bravely coming up noticing her interest and extending his hand for a shake. She seemed to be a fellow officer anyway. "I noticed your stare," he chuckled. "I'm Sergeant Patton Nuth with the Anagonians. How are you?"

[Saurisia]

Tracie extended her own large hand and promptly shook it, undoubtedly crushed Patton's hand from her powerful strength. "Nice to meet you, I'm Tracie Williams."
